The morning sunlight filtered into the room, through the curtains, waking up a man who was still covered in thick blankets on the bed.
He groaned in annoyance because the light disturbed his sleep. The man was forced to open his eyes and then lifted the blanket covering his body.
"What time is it now?"
Slowly moving his hand to reach for the cell phone on the small table beside his bed, his brown eyes widened perfectly when the clock pointed to 7 in the morning.
Ferdinand immediately got out of bed and ran to the bathroom.
On the dining table
Fransis smeared the bread with jam, then gave it to Seiran.
The girl was silent watching her lover, but confusion always struck her heart.
The feeling of love in her heart seemed to have disappeared for the man. She actually felt that if Ferdinand was her lover, maybe that would be better.
"What is it?"
Fransis' voice snapped Seiran out of her reverie, she shook her head trying to get rid of the strange feeling.
The girl bit into the bread her fiancé had given her, her eyes lowered without daring to speak.
"You have just arrived in this city. Do you want to go for a walk?" Fransis raised his gaze at Siran. In his hand was bread that had not been smeared with jam.
Seiran wanted to refuse but didn't dare because he was afraid he would make the man angry.
"Good morning!"
As usual, Ferdinand always greeted his friends, he forgot that now there was Seiran in the house, not just Fransis.
"Hm."
That was Francis' only answer.
Seiran's uneasy feelings suddenly disappeared when the jet-black-haired man arrived.
"Morning too," she replied with a story.
Ferdinand didn't know what to do when he saw Seiran. He knew that he had made a mistake in liking his best friend's girlfriend, especially since he got drunk last night and made his friend angry.
The atmosphere turned awkward when Ferdinand pulled up a chair next to Seiran, and he even stopped short of taking the bread.
Fransis glanced briefly at his friend. The man looked awkward, unlike his usual cheerful personality and liked to talk nonsense.
"Is there a meeting today?"
Ferdinand didn't really focus on Fransis' question, he was confused by his own feelings.
He feels hot and cold and always feels embarrassed whenever he is near Seiran.
Seeing no response from Ferdinand, Fransis turned his attention to the man.
"Ferdinand!"
Ferdinand was surprised to hear Fransis' high-pitched call, while Seiran just smiled funny.
"I ask you! Do you still want to continue your madness last night?!" Fransis asked in a high voice, his sapphire eyes staring sharply.
Ferdinand grinned. "You misunderstood, Frans. Last night I was just drunk. After all in this world it's not just your fiancé."
"So...?"
Fransis raised an eyebrow, while Seiran was curious about Ferdinand's continuation.
"Yes, I broke up with my boyfriend named Seiran. Never mind, what did you ask?" Ferdinand tried to change the conversation.
Without realizing it, Seiran was disappointed with Ferdinand's words, even though she hoped that Ferdinand would really like him.
Seiran was surprised to realize the contents of her thoughts. She shook her head trying to dispel the thoughts.
"No, I can't betray Fransis. He is my fiancé, he always loves me, I can't betray his trust," she said to him.
"What's wrong with you, Ferdinand?! You woke up late, so I was late for the office. Now you can't focus." Fransis was annoyed with his best friend.
"Okay, OK. Sorry, Boss. So what did you ask?" Ferdinand replied, giving in.
"Do I have a meeting today?" Francis repeated the question angrily.
"Hehehe..." Ferdinand grinned.
"No, uh... There is. You had a meeting with the board of directors. I was surprised by them." Ferdinand held his beard in surprise.
"They are too arrogant."
Fransis did not respond to his friend's words. "Cancel all scheduled meetings today."
"Ha?!" Ferdinand was shocked, the bread was almost in his mouth and he had to stop in midair.
The man turned his attention to Fransis. The man with golden yellow hair looked relaxed, enjoying the bread in his hand.
"Are you serious?! At least teach the board of directors a lesson, they just change the rules at will."
"You just tell them," replied Fransis expressionlessly.
Ferdinand clenched his fists in front of his face, feeling like he wanted to punch his friend.
How could he possibly order the board of directors while his position was only a driver and personal assistant?
Seiran secretly watched Ferdinand. She smiled to herself at seeing the man's funny attitude.
"Why don't you go to the office, Frans?" Seiran asked, turning his attention to Fransis.
"Lazy." As usual, Fransis always gave short answers.
"Frans..." Seiran trailed off.
Francis raised his eyes to look at the girl.
"It's okay, forget it." Seiran refused to speak.
Ferdinand watched the interaction between the two people. He felt that Fransis' character was too cold and not suitable for a girl as good as Seiran.
Again, Ferdinand felt the feeling of being inappropriate. He shook his head again to get rid of all those feelings, convinced himself that he should not have feelings for Seiran.
"Do we need to get your head checked?" Fransis asked, without looking at Ferdinand.
The man with jet black hair was confused. He looked at Fransis with question marks.
"Today you often shake your head. I think there is a problem with your nerves."
Ferdinand squinted fiercely, Seira smiled faintly at Ferdinand's expression.
"Sir, what is your name?"
Ferdinand turned his attention to Seiran, his heart beating fast just looking at the girl's smile.
"Frans Ferdinand, Miss can call me Ferdinand."
Seira nodded. "Okay, Ferdinand. Have you and Fransis been friends for a long time?"
"Yes, Fransis and I have been around for a long time, about 2 years ago." Ferdinand was nervous just answering a simple question from Seiran.
Seiran nodded, she turned her attention to Fransis, her lover looked calm with a flat facial expression.
"Why didn't you tell me you had a cute friend?"
"Why? Have you ever heard me tell you about my friend?" replied Fransis, without looking at Siran.
"It's not like that..." Seira was a little disappointed with Fransis. The man didn't seem to care about her feelings, he just didn't allow anyone to get close to him.
Ferdinand glanced at Fransis, annoyed to see his friend's attitude, too stiff even though he really cared.
"Miss, maybe Francis hasn't had time yet."
"What's the benefit of telling everyone? You only need to know about me, you don't need to know about anything or anyone around me," said Fransis.
The man took a tissue and wiped the remaining food from his mouth, then turned his gaze to Seiran.
"Why?" asked Seiran, not understanding.
"Why are you always like that? I also want to get to know the people around you."
"No need!" Fransis answered firmly and did not want to be denied.
Seiran was very annoyed with Fransis' attitude, but she could only give in without being able to fight the man.
"Frans, don't be like that. Poor Seiran, she just wants to know the people around you." Ferdinand tries to persuade his friend because he doesn't have the heart for Seiran.
Fransis squinted at Ferdinand, as if to say, "Shut up!"
