Hilman's face soured as he heard the taunts hurled at him by his colleague, who of course had served there first. "You don't have to talk so much, Saefudin!" she scolded as she walked into the booth previously used by Sarah.
The man, called Saefudin, then followed her inside. "Well, Mr. Doctor... what a sensation! Having your period, huh?" she mocked while giggling.
"Lo head's period!" scolded Hilman as he glared fiercely at his friend, who could only let out a wide grin. "By the way, why did you follow me here? I'm taking a break, man!" he snapped, unhappy with his friend's presence. He waved his right hand in the air.
"You're so mean, Mr. Doctor! I swear it's going to be hard for you to get Dek Sarah!" grumbled Saefudin, as he walked away, seeing Hilman's face get even worse.
"I swear you won't work, man!" shouted Hilman loudly, only to be greeted by a mocking laugh from Saefudin. But the man did not stop his steps from leaving Hilman's dugout. "I'll really try to get to know her! Especially if she's really already a widow, it's already approachable! But, has the Iddah period ended or not?" muttered Hilman confusedly, his right hand pinching his chin while his eyes turned to the ceiling of the room, the man seemed to be thinking hard. But never got an answer. "arghh ...," he fumed in annoyance as he ruffled his hair into a mess, annoyed at not getting the slightest answer unless he dared to ask his crush. However, did he dare to do so? Meanwhile, the woman he had a crush on seemed to be defensive of him. "au ah, dark!" he grumbled as he got up. Then walked out, back to the pediatric clinic - where he was assigned, because he was indeed a pediatrician, with the full name Dr. Hilman Aksa Prayoga, Sp.A (K)-.
With a sour and even flat face, Hilman finally arrived at the room where he was assigned. The man hurriedly pulled the chair he was sitting on a little rudely, to the astonishment of the female nurse colleague who was in charge of helping him. But the woman was reluctant to ask questions because the doctor was notoriously cold. In fact, he did not hesitate to reprimand his colleagues, if the person concerned made a mistake. Moreover, the man was the golden boy at the health center where he served, before being transferred next month to the central hospital in the city.
"Sorry ... Doctor," said the nurse timidly, while looking at Hilman who did not look back at her at all. "He said he wanted to rest for a while. It hasn't been ten minutes, why is he back again?"
Hilman glanced sarcastically at the nurse who he considered presumptuous, "What business is it of yours?!" he scolded, not happy to be asked a question.
"Nothing, Doctor," the nurse said softly, bowing her head. "I'm sorry!" she said sincerely.
"Instead of you taking care of my life, you'd better call the next patient so that my job is done quickly. I want to go home as soon as possible!" Hilman said curtly. His eyes stared at the paper in front of him containing the Posyandu data for tomorrow morning in front of the village office.
"Yes, Doctor. Sorry!" said the nurse obediently for fear of being sprayed again by the fierce man in front of her.
"Alright, go call the next patient!" ordered Hilman with a flat face.
"Ready, Doc!" said the nurse. She hurriedly took the patient file in front of Hilman with a little clumsiness. Then immediately opened the clear folder at the very top while walking towards the exit."A patient by the name of Satria!" she called out loudly as her eyes swept around the room, where there were many people queuing for treatment. Her brow furrowed slightly, as the patient of that name did not appear. She was about to call out again, but a beautiful young woman with a gaunt face, doe eyes that shone brightly, cherry pink lips, a sharp nose, body goals like a Spanish guitar, and fair skin typical of the rich, appeared to be walking hurriedly with a baby in her arms, towards the nurse, followed by a middle-aged woman behind her.
"Yes, ma'am," Sarah greeted politely with a faint smile.
"Satria?" asked the nurse to confirm.
"Yes, ma'am. This is my son Satria," said Sarah politely.
"Oh, okay. Please come in, ma'am!" invited the nurse.
"Yes, thank you, ma'am!" said Sarah, nodding her head slightly.
"I'll just wait here, okay? I don't want to be crowded inside," said Marni, who was starting to feel hot because the fan, which was only one, couldn't reduce the heat in the dry season.
"Yes, ma'am. I'll go inside first," said Sarah politely. She then proceeded to the inner area, where the nurse was waiting for her politely in front of the half-closed curtains.
"Please, ma'am. You brought your pink book, didn't you?" the nurse asked politely.
"Yes, I brought it, ma'am. It's in this bag," said Sarah as she handed over the sling bag she was wearing. Where Marni had previously handed over the book, shortly before Satria's name was called.
"Let me take it, ma'am!" said the nurse politely, while reaching into the bag which was already open.
"Yes, ma'am. Go ahead!" Sarah said in permission.
"There," said the nurse as she carried the book inside. Leaving Sarah and Satria for a while. "Here, Doc," she said as she thrust the pink book in front of Hilman who raised his face, looking back at the nurse with a flat face.
"Send me in!" she ordered firmly, her right hand returning to the pen and starting to write the date on the prescription paper.
"Yes, Dok!" replied the nurse, who immediately turned around to call Sarah and Satria to come inside. "Please, ma'am!" she said kindly.
"Thank you, ma'am," Sarah replied equally politely. The woman hurried to follow the nurse's footsteps, then stood in front of the male doctor who was still busy writing on the paper in front of him.
"The patient by the name of Satria has arrived, Doctor," greeted the nurse politely and carefully.
"Hmmm...," Hilman said flatly as he raised his gaze upwards. He was surprised to see who was now sitting in front of him. A sweet smile instantly graced his face.
Sarah, meanwhile, could only stare awkwardly at the man in front of her, as this was the third time she had met this person today.
"Hi, Sarah!" greeted Hilman in a happy tone as he waved his right hand upwards.
"I-yes, Doctor," Sarah replied clumsily.
Meanwhile, the nurse, looking at the two with a questioning look, also thought that they were involved in something special, so they looked familiar. Although in this case it was only shown by Hilman alone, while Sarah, not. But her awkward gesture already supported her thoughts just now.
"Who's sick, Sarah?" asked Hilman, who widened his smile when he finally came face to face with his idol. His right hand rested on his chin with his eyes fixed firmly on her.
"My son, Doctor," Sarah said increasingly agitated, not happy to be stared at in such a way. "His body suddenly became hot, and then he had a seizure for a while too," she explained while turning her gaze to Satria who was writhing in her arms.
"Put him on the bed, let me check!" ordered Hilman as he rose to his feet.
"Okay," Sarah said as she rose to her feet, then followed Hilman's footsteps. Then slowly unhooked the sling she was wearing.
"I'll help," offered Hilman, reaching for the sling.
Sarah quickly dodged before Hilman's hand could reach her shoulder, leaving her dangling in the air. "I can do it myself, Doctor," she refused. Only then did she place him gently on the bed, once the sling was open.
Hilman, who was rejected in such a way, then smiled awkwardly while clenching his hand that was originally open. Not forgetting to lower it with a slightly tense face. But he still tried to be professional. "Get undressed!" he commanded as he put a stethoscope to his ear.
"Huh...!" Sarah squealed strongly with her eyes fully open.
