ADAM REIGO POV

I felt as though my heart beat quicker when I opened the door of the house holding the mango I had purchased because I couldn't feel her presence in any part of the house.

When I got home, I just thought she was sleeping in the room and it appeared as though she hadn't been waiting for me, I just went to the sofa and put the mango that I bought for her and take off my coat and hanging it on the sofa, as I walked up the stairs, so I just shook my head until I got to our room.

I walked in and noticed that the bed was neat and uncluttered. I then went to the walk-in closet to check there, but I didn't see even her shadow, so I quickly opened the bathroom door. When I saw that she wasn't there, I held the door tightly and thought, "Damn, where did she go." I then sprinted out of the room and went to the stairs, where I jumped down without hesitation to reach the kitchen to see if she was there.

I screamed angrily as I made my way from the kitchen to the living room of the mansion, "DAMN, WIFE WHERE ARE YOU? DON'T HIDE FROM ME IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE!" She had previously played hide and seek with me, and whenever she heard me scream, she would immediately come out, but this time is different because it seems as though she is not in the house.

"WIFE COME OUT NOW, I ALREADY BUY YOUR MANGO, SO PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME WORRIED!" I scream as tear streams down my cheeks from the fear of losing her. I felt different now, and I yanked my hair out in frustration. I couldn't lose the woman I had hidden for ten years because no one could see her and be enamored by her beauty; I should be

My steps were heavy as I climbed the stairs once again to reach a room that houses computers and is connected to all CCTVs, both inside and outside the house.

A few hours after I left the house, she woke up from sleeping and went to the bathroom, she took off all her body coverings and I could see her whole body, but I didn't have my eyes there I will find out where she went, after she took a bath she came out naked and her body was still wet, I could see her smooth and pinkish nipples and her private part, she went into the walk-in closet and got something to wear, she was only wearing pajamas and a T-shirt before sitting on the bed and dry her hair with her hair dryer.

When she opened the drawer, I saw that she had taken out a pink notebook and that she was sitting on the bed again and instantly put her hair in a ponytail after it had dried. It appeared as though she was writing something there that couldn't be read because it was too far from the CCTV camera, She wrote for a few hours before putting the pink notebook back in the drawer and leaving. When she emerged from the hallway, she walked down, and I smiled when I saw her jumping down the stairs on her every step while appearing to be singing.

When she got off, she sat on the couch with a frown on her face and appeared incredibly bored. My heart raced when I saw her get up and open the door, and my hand clenched in response.

After properly closing the door, she abruptly left the subdivision and looked around in a perplexed manner. I didn't believe she would consider leaving the subdivision until her shadow vanished from the camera and I couldn't stop myself from punching the monitor. Damn, I was wrong.

I walked out of the computer room and pulled my phone out of my slacks pocket to call a friend.

When Atticus picked up the phone, I said, "Atticus, I need your presence at my house right now, tell the others too."

"Bro, my problem isn't over with my parents getting me married, then you're going to send me there, don't you forget that you don't want us to step into your mansion-like house so that we won't see your wife that you think we're going to steal." He said on the other line, but I ignored him.

I walked to my office here at home and said, "Hurry up, I need help."

"Wow, did I just hear that? An Adam Reigo Ashford asked for our help?" He responded with laughter until I opened my office door and entered.

"If you're gonna say nonsense things then I don't need your help," I said coldly to him and was about to hang up when he suddenly shouted on the other line.

"Wait, bro! I'm just kidding we'll be there in a minute." He said. I sat on my swivel chair and set my cell phone on the table before touching my forehead due to the big issue when I lost her, I can't lose her, damn it, I just clenched my fist I thought that I wouldn't be able to find her, I might die if all that happens, I can't bear it.

Because of the noise my friends made as they entered simultaneously with the door opening, I knew it was them when they entered.

"Bro, where is your wife, why we didn't see her inside your mansion, don't claim that you shut the door to your room just so we couldn't see her," Atticus asked but I continued to close my eyes and place my palm on my forehead while lowering my head and placing my two elbows on the table.

Maximus questioned whether they were all already seated on the sofa in my office and inquired, "Yes bro, and why can't I feel any other presence inside your home? Where did you take your wife?"

"You're not used to that one, and you still want to see his dear wife, whom he will cherish most," Knight answered.

Alexander interrupted the knight, saying, "Stop it, knight, we will also see his wife. Do you think we can enter his mansion if we can't see his wife?" My eyes remained icy as I stared up at them as they also stared back at me.

Knight asked abruptly, "Bro, what happened to your eyes; did you just cry?"

"Help me." When that came out of my mouth, tears suddenly fell from my eyes, this was the first time they saw me cry in front of them because they never saw me cry before, I always treated others coldly. I saw that they stood up at the same time and came to the front of my table.

"Bro, we can help just spell it." Atticus seriously said.

"Did someone kidnap your wife?" Knight asked.

"I'll hunt them, who kidnapped your wife? Tell me." Maximus coldly said.

"My gun is ready to shoot, tell us who messed up with you," Alexander said, I smiled because even though I treated them coldly, they were still ready to fight for me.

"My wife, leave our house and now she's missing I don't know what I would do, I'm going insane she's only my everything I can give up everything just for her, please help me to find my wife," I said weakly.

"OPERATION SEARCH FOR ADAM'S MISSING WIFE!" Knight suddenly screamed so Maximus hit him.

"How are you going to find her if we don't know what his wife looks like? Are you stupid?" Maximus said sarcastically, so Knight shook his head.

"Yes, Bro, even just this time, show us what your wife looks like so we can find her," Alexander said. I opened the small drawer on my table and took out the album where my wife's photos are located and I gave it to them and they ran over it so I spoke coldly.

"Damn it if that album is destroyed I will make sure that all of your lives will be destroyed as well," I said coldly they drop the album at the same time so my aura went with it.

They looked at me at the same time and raised their hands while making a peace sign. I was about to stand up when they suddenly ran out and I saw Alexander wrapping the album.

When they came out, I just realized that they were carrying the album were other pictures of the woman I love. I quickly ran out of my office to the house and screamed.

"Mother fuckers! Give that album back to me!" I screamed.

"Damn it Alex why did you bring that, you want us all to die?!" I heard Knight shout.

"I got panicked so I took it," Alexander replied.

"Damn, he'll catch up with us," Maximus said and I saw one of them jump down the stairs.

"Damn all of you! Alexander take one picture and just put the album on the sofa and I'll meet you at the headquarters, take care as I still don't want to die!" Atticus shouted. I saw Alexander take a picture from the album and he threw the album on the sofa before they went out the door of the house.

I held my breath because of how they all run like I'm going to kill them once I catch them. I went to the album that Alexander threw on the sofa and took it before sitting down and opening it.

Her innocent face appeared to me while smiling while eating pasta, as I'm looking at every picture of her I can't help but cry because of sadness and fear that I might not see her and lose her in the end.

"Oh god, please don't take her away from me, I'm not too close to you but please this one, grant my wish, I want her to be back in my arms." I tearfully asked while looking at the picture.

"I can't afford to lose you, even if it's only been a minute or an hour, I miss you so much, what if you won't come back to me after a year? I might go crazy." I said last.
