A team of homicide detectives in the city of California go through the city, solving one serious crime after another, but even they cannot escape the long arms of the California fever.

Mara Katz, a small but fiery ex-Marine firecracker, is the ace of the team. But her skills are more in the unconventional areas that violate the rules of her unit. Yet, Mara cares the least.
