I heard his laugh from the other line. "I just wanted to remind you about our meeting later. I just hope you don't forget it, hmm?"

"Yes, dad. I don't."

That's why I didn't feel like going to Montello Incorporated. What else would he say? I am sure it is not about my marriage with Shennun because if it is about it, his office isn't the right place for that. And since he invited me to his office, I couldn't help myself but think that maybe this meeting is a...formal meeting.
It must be about the passing of all the businesses to me that our family owns huh?

"U-Uhmmm, S-Sir you're not allowed to enter." Joselyn, daddy's secretary, looked around when he said that.

I frowned because of her attitude. "Are you okay?" I asked sincerely but I didn't get an answer. I sighed deeply. "It's okay, Joselyn. She herself said I came here."

She hesitated at first but when I showed her my father's message, she also allowed me to enter.

My brows furrowed as I watched my father in his swivel chair, breathing heavily.

"Dad?"

He opened his eyes and it widened when he saw me inside his office. It seemed like he sees a ghost with the way he looks at me.

"Are you okay?" I asked, frowning.

I saw him gulping then he looked at his bathroom door.
"W-What are you doing here?"

"You asked me to come here in your office--"

"At the evening! Damn, stupid!" He stood up and looked at me evilly. "Get out of my fucking office! I'll just call you when it's our time!"

Although I was surprised, I still followed what he said. When I went out, I found Joselyn restless and when she saw me coming out, it was as if a thorn had been pulled out of her.

"What's wrong with these people?" I whispered softly to myself as I walked out.

I bought first a coffee and cookies for myself. And when the clock turns to 6pm, I decided to go back already. Carrying a cup of coffee, I entered the company.

"Shennun?" I asked myself when I saw her running out of the exit door.

What is he doing here? I took out my cellphone and texted him.

To Shennun;

Where are you?

I waited a little while for her reply which never came. Maybe she's busy?

I just ignored it and went straight to my father's office.

"What do you need, dad?" I asked my father as I sat down on the couch.

"On the weekend, you are going to Batangas for a big project. I need you to get this deal, Rex. At least here you can help the company."

I scoffed because I know that I won't be able to do that. "Dad, you know that I have class--"

"I am not asking you to do it, Rex. I am ordering you."

"But dad, you know that I am not an expert in this field! We won't close this deal if you will send me for it! We have a lot of employees who are much more efficient and effective than I am when it comes to this field, dad!"

But he just raised an eyebrow at me. "Okay? I don't care about what you say, Rex. Just do what I asked you to do."

I didn't do anything except follow him. I didn't try to argue against him anymore because I know that in the end, he would still win. He still wants to be followed. So why waste time?

I just nodded my head at him before I left his office. When I got home, I did nothing else but study about the project that daddy was talking about.

It's about the partnership between Montello Line and the Buenaventuras. If I get this deal, maybe my father will let me do what I really love?

"What is that, Rex?" I turned to look at Shennun who had just come out of the bathroom.

I frowned at him. "You're naked, Shennun."

She acted confused. "So what? You're my husband and I am your wife, this is just okay."

I just shook my head at him and let him do what he wanted. His body was already dry so I just ignored him when he came next to me while still naked.

"What is that?" He repeated his question.

"I just need to close a deal," I whispered.

"For Montello line?"

"How do you know?" I asked her. She looked at me in horror. I suddenly remembered what she was doing earlier at Montello Incorporated. "And what were you doing in Montello Incorporated?"

It was as if cold water had been poured on him by the way he looked now. He channeled his nervousness into laughter.

"Ah, nothing. I just took something."

I am still confused but I decided not to question her anymore. This is more important than that.

The days passed quickly. I asked Eliyah to pack her clothes for a 3-day vacation and I am glad she agreed...because if she didn't, I might go crazy wondering what she was doing.

But these past few days, I observed that Shennun has been visiting Montello Incorporated for a while now. But like I said, there's something more important going on so I'll just let him go.

"Welcome Batangas! Whooa!" Elijah shouted as we walked out of our car.

I shook my head at his enthusiasm. I handed my car keys to the valet before we entered the five-star hotel.

"Do you think I can close the deal?" I asked while we were eating our dinner inside our room.

Her eyes narrowed at me. "Of course!"

"Why do you feel so forced?" I chuckled.

She giggled. "Your only question is if you can close the deal? Of course you can! But I'm not sure if you'll be the one chosen for that deal? You get it?"

Silly girl. I laughed at her then shook her head.

With her, I am happy and comfortable. And now, I realized it's not just lust I'm feeling. It's more than that.

I like her.
