Amanda
I blushed like never before as I stared at Gabriel who sat before me. Knowing what you want is truly beneficial in life as they say.
Gabriel wants me and I want revenge. Who could be the perfect man for the job? Of course, him!
“Mr. Slade, it's been a long time,” I said, casually.
“Yes, it is. Stop beating around the bush. What do you want?” Gabriel said, looking sideways.
I ignored his reaction and continued, “Do you care about what I want or your wedding?”
He finally settled his eyes on me for the first time since we sat in the dimly lit living room. He chuckled, “This woman, it looks like you don't have anything to say. Please, leave.”
He is making a big mistake by asking me to leave but I won't allow that. I'm here to stay. To achieve my aim, I will cross every ocean, and that includes collaborating with Gabriel.
He stood from his chair and attempted to leave, then I realized it was time to bring in the real part of the plan.
“Do you want to leave without listening to me or do you want me to reveal to the entire world how you are being controlled by my step rivals? I know you very well, Mr. Slade. You could have declined the marriage proposal even after your parents forced you but you didn't.”
Gabriel stood shocked. After a while, he turned sharply, his eyes were strong.
“What rubbish are you saying?” He yelled.
The fact is, he just confirmed my suspicion. One of my informants dug up some recent incidents during my absence. I'm not interested in whatever they have together that made him, the enigmatic billionaire, bow to them. All I want is for him to work with me to end my enemy's game.
I walked up to him and gazed into his eyes. “Did I lie?”
Instead of replying, he dipped his hands into his pockets and formed some level of arrogance that can't be compared to the level I'm in presently. I opened my bag and brought out a green file.
“This here…” I paused while I raised the file, “contains our marriage agreement.” I stretched his arms and handed it over to him.
I flashed a smile as he stared at the front page of the file. It had his face on it. He glanced through the file and shook his head before he returned it to me.
“I can't sign it.” He said confidently.
“Why?” I asked after my face darkened.
“I can’t sign the contract because you want me to be submissive to you. You have to be kidding me? Are you an Alpha or a dominant Luna?” Gabriel said, flinging the file on the tiles.
I picked it up and locked my eyes with his. “I am Amanda and I have my own rules. Rule number one, I don't take orders from anyone and all the content of the contract agreement aligns with my terms, rules, policies, and conditions. Therefore, you will sign the contract.”
“What do you mean?” He bawled.
“Nothing much,” I unlocked my phone and showed him a video.
“What!” He shouted and tried to snatch the phone but I was fast enough to move my hand.
He rolled his eyes and huffed. “Are you going to hurt her?” He asked.
As they say, even a lion has its fears. The devil included, if people don't commit sins, he feels restless. How more thoughtful can I be? I kidnapped his grandmother earlier and now, she's my jackpot. He loves her a lot and would do anything for her.
‘Those who fail to plan, plan to fail'.
I'm not a failure but a winner, especially not after what happened to me three months ago. How can I forget what those beasts did to me and who suffered in return?
I was lucky to have escaped death only because of one person. Had she not saved me, I don't know what could have happened. I'm extremely grateful to her and with this new life, I will take revenge for myself and avenge her death and that of my mother too even if it will cost my life but my enemies will go down too.
“Will you sign the contract or I will send her to the world above?” I asked.
Gabriel stared at me blankly. All his confidence and enticing attitude seemed to drift away and that is what I love.
“But I'm getting married to Ava.” He protested.
I shrugged and responded, “When Ava is hurt, her mother who is crazy about her will suffer as well. Everyone will suffer.”
He collected the documents from me and signed them with a bright smile on his face. “Looks like we are on the same page. I also want to make them pay for the troubles they brought to my life. It all started some…”
He was about to say something but he stopped. I urged him to tell me but he refused and said he would tell me in the future. He asked if I could release his grandmother and I called my men to do that instantly.
“I have released your grandmother, will you do what I want?” I asked.
“Haven't I? I signed the contract already.” He said.
“Ouch! Make an official announcement that you are married to me.” I chimed. Gabriel stared at me for a while before he proceeded to bring his phone out.
Without wasting time, I yanked his head downwards and kissed him on the lip. I turned on my phone's camera and took a photograph.
“Sent,” I remarked, looking into my phone.
“What's the need for doing that? It's enough if I don't show up at the wedding. What else do you want?” He questioned.
“Sometimes, the truth needs evidence or backup. What the eye sees is not a lie. And as for the damage, wait till it hits the target. It is some person's doom's day.”
Like Ava said, ‘Defeating an enemy is called a strategy.’ The fire my enemies once quenched will be reignited by me.
This is indeed the era of Amanda Romanus. I shook my head slightly in disagreement. Amanda Slade, that's more like it.
