Ch. 5Handsome Men

Scarlett was with Frank on the crew for almost two months until the closing party. Kristin knew the play would become famous so that the crew would say good things about her. Kristin used her money to take the crew to a famous fancy restaurant in London.

Scarlett wanted to take advantage of this enormous meal opportunity. She only ate two buns this morning to eat more in the evening. Then she put on her best outfit.

At this moment, Kristin was leaning back on a chair in a slightly intoxicated state. Even the male lead, who usually did not interact with others, chose to drink quite a lot tonight. Scarlett, who saw that, shook her head. Besides that, her head was dizzy, and she saw some condiment stains splashed onto her long-sleeved dress. Then, choose to go to the bathroom to clean it up.

Because this outfit was the best thing Scarlett had, she had to take good care of it.

Luxury restaurants are different from ordinary restaurants. The male servers wore white shirts and black vests, and the female servers wore cream-colored dresses covered with black blazers. Scarlett even thought the clothes the servers wore were more expensive than hers.

Upon reaching the bathroom, Scarlett walked to the sink. She used the liquid soap that was there to wipe the oil on the sleeves of her dress. Then Scarlett heard a loud noise from outside. She took out a piece of tissue that had been provided near the sink, wiped the dress sleeve, and checked the noise.

Scarlett saw a drunk man lying on the floor, groaning in pain. He looked like an influential person had beaten him. Moreover, three steps away from the middle-aged man, a man in a blue shirt and black vest stood on the bathroom wall. The man noticed Scarlett's gaze on him.

'That man is very handsome, but his complexion is too pale; even the color of his lips looks unhealthy.' Scarlett thought.

Scarlett did not expect a man with such good looks and noble temperament to be hotel staff.

Before long, Scarlett instantly understood what was happening. Moreover, she heard footsteps coming from the hallway towards the bathroom. Scarlett reached out to pull him behind her, seeing the handsome man's eyelids drooping.
'This man didn't react when I pulled him back. That's good!' Scarlett thought.

"Do not be afraid, and I will get this done." Scarlett then patted the man's arm, smiling at him, adding, "I have good acting skills."

The man stared at Scarlett for ten seconds, then a voice was heard,
"Sir."

Three prominent men in black suits ran towards them. Then they looked at the man lying on the floor before glancing at Scarlett.

"Is this man with you?" Asked one of the men. Scarlett, who heard that, was full of worry.

"This waiter took me to the bathroom, and then we saw this man suddenly fall on the floor. We would help him, but you guys showed up first."

Who was the most competent person today? It was Scarlett Adams.

They stared blankly at Scarlett. Scarlett stepped forward, let these people focus on her, then smiled and said, "The wine served at the restaurant is good, but it is easy to get drunk. Maybe he fell because of that."

The faces of the three men became flat.

Perhaps it was because the expression of the man behind Scarlett was too cold, causing the atmosphere to be different. Only the middle-aged man lying on the floor dared to make a sound of pain. A few seconds passed, and when Scarlett thought they doubted her, it was not long before the two people in front of her bent down to take the arm of the middle-aged man lying on the floor and thanked her.

They did not take the man far enough because Scarlett saw the legs of one of the bodyguards stumble, and the middle-aged man's head hit the wall. This time, the middle-aged man fainted instantly.

'The bodyguards of the rich are so tough!' Scarlett thought.
Scarlett could not breathe, so she took three steps back and accidentally hit the man, who she thought was a waiter.

"Seeing that, I almost fainted." Scarlett rubbed her forehead. She had drunk a few glasses of wine, so her head was dizzy. She patted the man on the shoulder and said, "We had better get out of here."

After a few seconds of silence, the man saw his shoulder being touched and wordlessly followed behind Scarlett.

"Fortunately, they didn't find anything strange. I'm afraid we can't beat the three of them." Scarlett breathed a sigh of relief, then added, "If someone asks you about what happened just now, you should answer that you don't know anything, okay?"

The man stared at Scarlett for ten seconds before nodding slowly.
"Yes." Scarlett, who saw him, smiled happily.

"We came here to make money. At times, we have to pretend to be stupid and thick-skinned." Scarlett said.
The man listened in silence. Scarlett entered the private room provided by Kristin, and laughter emerged from the half-closed door.

"You wait for me here. I'll say goodbye to my friends and then accompany you." Scarlett finished speaking and saw the man looking at her flatly. The man was trying to understand why Scarlett wanted to accompany him.

"Have you ever seen a drama or a movie with a crime theme?" Scarlett walked closer and whispered to the man, "If a suspect doesn't want to be caught, he needs an alibi."

The man's eyes trembled slightly when he heard that.

"Do you understand what I mean?" Scarlett winked before adding, "I can be used as evidence that you didn't do anything."
The man did not react, so the drunken Scarlett immediately said, "Do not worry. I will be right back."

The man saw her stepping into the room and talking to a few people sitting in the main seats.

Scarlett poured some wine into a few glasses before walking out. The people behind her did not care about her early departure. They chose to surround the young woman in the center.

"Let's go," Scarlett said, wiping the wine stain on the corner of her mouth with a tissue.

"I'll take you to meet your boss and tell him how much you've helped me. That's a good idea. Praising the performance of the staff." Scarlett added.

The man looked at Scarlett, whose cheeks were slightly red, took off his vest, put it on his arm, revealing a slender waist in front of Scarlett's eyes, and then said, "It is okay. I will not show up again tomorrow."
