Ch. 3Let's Get Married

The Leon family estate was vast, encompassing not just the main house, but also individual villas and courtyards for each family member.

Chrystal, taking advantage of her perceived "simple-mindedness," pretended to be confused as she took in her surroundings. She deliberately noted the details of the various buildings on the Leon estate as they made their way through.

Not long after, Valdo led her into a separate villa. As they passed through its gate, Chrystal noticed a young man seated in the garden.

He was strikingly handsome, with a mix of fair skin and prominent features. He wore a thin white shirt and jeans that clung to his long, straight legs, giving him an impressive height even while seated.

It seemed the young man had heard their footsteps, as he slightly turned his head in Chrystal's direction. His deep blue eyes, tinged with gray, resembled mysterious sapphire gems veiled by a thin, transparent layer. Though his expression was minimal, there was an undeniable sense of distance and detachment in his gaze, signaling that strangers couldn’t easily approach him.

Chrystal raised an eyebrow slightly. Without much thought, she recognized the young man as Samudra Leon, the Second Young Master of the Leon family.

Tsk.

He had the looks worthy of a main rival to the story’s male protagonist. Even in a calm seated position, his unmatched charm radiated from him!

If Chrystal had been a neglected supporting character in the original story, then the Second Young Master of the Leon family was undoubtedly the primary antagonist.

Putting aside the complicated and intrigue-filled background of his wealthy family, Samudra had chosen to join the family business after graduating from a prestigious university. In less than three years, he had developed his investment projects to nearly ten billion.

Wealth, looks, power—he had all the attributes that made him seem invincible.

However, like many "antagonists," he also harbored a dark side with the potential to worsen. Two months ago, Samudra, once the center of attention, had a sudden car accident and lost his eyesight in both eyes after waking from a coma.

According to the story’s narrative, under pressure from his brothers in the Leon family, he quickly fell from his status as a lauded young entrepreneur and potential heir to the company. Losing his wealth and reputation, he faced condescending looks and scornful words that rained down on him. All of this slowly changed him, altering his nature and his heart.

However, the larger Leon family remained unaware that there was a plan in motion to restore Samudra’s eyesight, and he was still set to become the family’s heir. As a result, the burning resentment in Samudra’s heart went undetected. And now, with his future position as heir, he was planning to exact revenge on those who had once belittled him in ways they would never expect.

Valdo took two steps forward, breaking the silence. "Sammy, I’m glad to see you here. Grandfather asked me to bring Little Miss Chrystal to meet you, so you two can talk."

He glanced at Chrystal, a smirk curling at the corner of his mouth. "The elders of both families want the Little Miss to stay with you tonight. As for the marriage certificate and ceremony, those can be arranged later."

Samudra took a calm sip of his coffee, then turned his gaze towards them. "Brother, are you joking? What can I do as a blind man? I can’t even take care of myself right now, so I’ve become a burden on both families."

"My words were too harsh," Valdo offered a casual apology, then continued with feigned reassurance, "Sammy, it’s only been three months. The doctors say there’s still hope for your vision to recover. So don’t lose hope."

Samudra lowered his eyelids slightly, staring darkly into his cup. "I heard that Little Miss Hermann has mental issues. If she doesn’t want to marry a blind man like me, would the two families still force this marriage?"

The surrounding servants began casting furtive glances at them.

Amidst the exchange between the two cousins, Chrystal grasped the situation more clearly than anyone else.

On the surface, Valdo may have appeared polite and courteous, but his words carried an undercurrent of malice. Meanwhile, Samudra, despite his eye condition, managed to maintain his composure and respond wisely.

The difference in hierarchy between them was obvious and easy to see.

"Sammy, you’re always so smart. Marriage isn’t about likes or dislikes. If the two families form a strong bond, everyone benefits, and everyone will be happy." Valdo toyed with his watch, his expression smug as he masked his venomous words with a silky tone. "Besides, how do you know that Little Miss Chrystal doesn’t like you?"

As he spoke, Valdo turned and approached Chrystal. He asked, "Little Miss, the man before you is your future husband. You’ll be moving into the Leon residence and living with him. How do you feel? Do you like him?"

He had done some digging and knew that the Little Miss Hermann had previously gone mad upon hearing about the marriage, crying that she didn’t want to leave the Hermann estate, and screaming that she didn’t want to marry the Second Young Master of the Leon family.

However, regardless of what happened, the marriage between the two families was already a done deal.

Valdo wanted to provoke a reaction from Chrystal, this so-called fool, and create a public scene so that all the Leon family’s servants and the entire social circle would know that the Second Young Master of the Leon family was now so pathetic that even an idiot would disdain him!

Intentionally, Valdo pressed further, "Don’t worry. Little Miss, take a good look. Do you like my cousin?"

"......"

Samudra sensed his malicious intent, and a faint cruelty gleamed in his pale, sightless eyes.

Chrystal quickly understood the game being played, and she clearly saw through Valdo’s provocative intentions. With a steely resolve, she decided to change the rules of the game.

Previously, Chrystal had resolved to go through with the marriage and live with the Leon family. However, at this point, she realized she couldn’t continue being the 'silent and obedient' girl. She knew it was time to 'explode.'

How does a fool express approval or disapproval?

If she didn’t like him, she would reject him, and if she did, she would show interest.

After making up her mind, Chrystal suddenly made a surprising move. She shoved Valdo with all her strength, pushing him away. She didn’t miss the chance to deliver a sharp, loud remark for everyone around to hear, "Get lost! You’re too awful, I don’t like you!"

The nearby servants were stunned.

But Chrystal wasn’t finished. After pushing Valdo away, she ran towards Samudra...

And kissed the corner of his lips!

After the kiss, she still pretended to be shy and enamored, as if she had discovered a priceless treasure.

"I like you. Hubby, let’s get married ~"

"......"

Samudra’s hand, holding the cup, trembled, and in his cold, sightless eyes, there was a flicker of shock at the sudden kiss. "What did you just say?"
