It had been a week now since Blessing's mother and Victoria hadn't set their eyes on Blessing and had looked everywhere they could for Blessing and still hadn't found him which made both of them worried. Blessing's mother could not return home because she promised herself that she had to see Blessing before she left even though Blessing's father had told her to return.

Victoria was about to enter the hospital where Blessing's grandpa was admitted when a little boy stopped her and gave her a wrapped paper saying to Victoria that he was told to give her the paper and the boy left. Victoria watched as the boy left wondering who could have given the boy the paper to give to her. When the boy left Victoria wondered what could be the context of the paper and unwrapped the paper to know what could be written on the paper.

Victoria read the context of the paper and realized it was Blessing who told the boy to give her the paper and the context of the paper says about a place and time where Blessing's mother is to come meet Blessing if she still wants to see him. Victoria was glad to hear from Blessing and the fact that he wanted to see his mother, and then looked around for Blessing knowing he would be close around since he was the one that gave the boy the paper but couldn't find him no matter where she looked.

Victoria gave the paper to Blessing's mother and she was so happy that Blessing wanted to see her and that he was fine where he was. Blessing's mother thanked Victoria for her help and promised Victoria to make things right.

NIGHT

Blessing's mother got to the address written inside the paper and it was a restaurant. Blessing's mother entered the restaurant to see people eating, talking, and smiling and walked forward looking for Blessing. As Blessing's mother walked forward looking for Blessing inside the restaurant, a waiter came to ask her if she was Mrs. Adewale and she said yes, then the waiter told her to follow him and she did.

The waiter took Blessing's mother to a private space (VIP) only meant for two people to eat and there she saw Blessing (seated) waiting for her. Immediately Blessing saw his mother he stood up and gave the waiter a tip then the waiter left. Blessing told his mother to sit as he was about to sit and they both sat down opposite each other. Blessing's mother said with a smile to Blessing "Wow. This is a nice place. How were you able to afford this place?".

"I guess that means you don't know anything about me. And do you really want to know how?" Blessing asked his mother.

"Yeah, if you want to tell me" said Blessing's mother with a smile.

"I came to know the owner of this place because I was once one of those who sold drugs to him and he owes me one" said Blessing.

Blessing's mother was shocked and couldn't believe her ears that Blessing once sold drugs.

Seeing his mother's reaction, Blessing asked his mother "are you surprised?".

"Tell me you are joking. Do you know how dangerous that is? Why will you sell drugs?" said Blessing's mother worried.

"Don't act like you are my mother or care about me because you aren't?" said Blessing with annoyance, and that made Blessing's mother realize how furious Blessing was.

"I am your mo..." said Blessing's mother.

Blessing's mother was cut short of words as Blessing cut in saying to her "what do you want?".

Blessing's mother sighed and said with guilt "I know you will be furious about how we treated you because what we did wasn't good and was worst. We abandoned you and see you as someone insignificant even though you are our son. We failed you as your parents and we deserved to be punished for that. But am here to make things right, Blessing. I want to be close to you son".

Blessing smiled and his mother wondered why he did that and then Blessing said to his mother "first, am not your son, and let me ask you. How are you going to make things right and what do you want to make right?".

"Don't say that, Blessing. You are my son and you will always be, just like I always will be your mother. I know we offended you greatly and asking you to forgive us will be the hardest thing to ask you to do. And If you don't forgive us I will accept that until the day you decide to. I know I wasn't the mother you always wanted me to be but right now I am here to be that for you. Am here to make you part of my life because I want you to be part of mine. I want to spend the rest of my life making up for all those times I abandoned you. I want to be close to you and take care of you like a mother should take care of her son. I want to be there for you. Please let me be part of your life, Blessing" said Blessing's mother with guilt.

Blessing smirked and said "why now, mother? Why now?".

"I know it shouldn't...." said Blessing's mother.

Blessing's mother was cut short of words as Blessing cut it saying out loud "Why now?", hitting the table in front of them very hard and that startled his mother.

Blessing's mother looked directly into Blessing's eyes and saw how hurting and furious he was. Water gathered around his eyes as Blessing said to his mother "I always thought you guys are the best parents anyone could ever wish for at the beginning because you acted like one and then this happened".

Blessing removed his mask and his mother was surprised by the way his scars now look after seeing it years ago.

Blessing continued "all because of this scar you both abandoned me when it wasn't me that did this to myself. You both see me as a shame to the family. You sent me out and now you are back asking for my forgiveness. I thought it was said that a mother would never abandon her child no matter what but you did all that because of my scar. And even though you sent me out, I waited for both of you all those years but you never showed up. I refuse to believe that you sent me out and abandoned me, and believe that you never could do that to me but years made me realize that you both actually did that. You have no idea how I survived from then till now. You have no idea what pain I had to go through and what that had made me become. I waited all those years for you guys because I needed you and wanted you but you didn't and never show up. You made me a fool for thinking that someone who abandoned me would show up loving me. You have exceeded the time that I needed you. I no longer need you in my life nor do I want to be part of your life".

Blessing said all those words to his mother with anger in his voice showing how hurting and furious he is. Blessing's mother said with guilt "you need to calm down, Blessing. This isn't like you".

"What do you know about me? You know nothing about me. The son you had and knew years ago is dead. Am no longer that son and I don't want you in my life. Go back to where you come from" said Blessing with anger.

"Am sorry, Blessing. I know we hurt you badly but we are very sorry. I am sorry. I failed you as a mother but please let me be part of your life" said Blessing's mother, as water filled her eyes.

"Why now? Why now? I waited all those years but where were you? You never called or showed up to check up on me. You rejected me and you want to be part of my life now? I don't want you and I never would. I am not your family. Go back to your family, mother" said Blessing, and stood up to leave.

Blessing stopped upon seeing his mother fall to her knees crying and she said to him "Please, Blessing. Am not asking you to forgive me but just let me be part of your life. I failed as a mother but I want to make things right and care for you now. I want to be a mother to her son. Let me be that for you. Please, Blessing".

Blessing looked at his mother crying without saying anything to her as he also held in his tears. Blessing realized his mother was being sincere about him allowing her to be part of his life but Blessing didn't know if he was ready to let go of the past and forgive his mother. Blessing asked his mother "where is father?".

"Your father?" said Blessing's mother looking at Blessing, as she stopped crying.

"Yes. Why isn't he here with you?" asked Blessing, but there was no response from Blessing's mother because she couldn't tell him and she raised her head down.

"I thought as much" said Blessing, and wore back his mask and then left the restaurant.

Blessing's mother tried to call back Blessing as he left but he didn't answer her which made her cry more.

After Blessing left the restaurant, Blessing went to the abandoned building to be alone and began to cry.

Blessing's mother gets home and meets Victoria who asks her how the meeting with Blessing went. Blessing's mother makes Victoria realize that she didn't know how much they had hurt Blessing and Blessing said no to her so she is leaving. Hearing that, Victoria ran out of the house to the abandoned building which is where her heart told her Blessing would be so she could see him.

Victoria stopped running when she got to the abandoned building rooftop where she saw Blessing on his knees crying in pain and that made her quickly run to Blessing and hug him. Immediately Victoria hugged Blessing, Blessing hugged her back as he continued crying saying to her "they hurt me so bad. They broke me".

"I know" said Victoria to Blessing, feeling very sad for Blessing.

"They abandoned me" said Blessing still crying.

"I know and I promise never to abandon you no matter what" said Victoria.

"I want my mother back but I also don't know if I want to" said Blessing still crying.

"It's okay. Together we will find a way to solve that and I will abide by your decision" said Victoria.

Blessing and Victoria remained in the position as Blessing cried out his heart. Victoria realizes Blessing has been holding his cry inside for a long time until now.

Blessing's mother was at the train station about to enter the train when she heard someone call her name from behind and she looked back to see it was Victoria who was running toward her that called her name so she stopped. Blessing's mother waited until Victoria got to her and Victoria had to catch her breath upon getting to Blessing's mother who asked Victoria "is everything all right?".

Victoria was unable to answer Blessing's mother because she was still catching her breath and Blessing's mother curiously asked her "Is my father okay?".

Victoria fully caught her breath and said with a smile to Blessing's mother "grandpa is okay. It is just that…."

"It is just that what?" asked Blessing's mother curiously and worried.

"Someone wants to see you" said Victoria with a smile, and pointed forward.

Blessing's mother looked in the direction Victoria pointed to and only saw people who were walking around the train station and then she looked at Victoria who was smiling and still pointing in the same direction. Blessing's mother looked in the direction again and suddenly saw Blessing running toward her. Blessing's mother was shocked to see Blessing running toward her but she ran toward Blessing.

Blessing and his mother hugged each other happily upon getting to each other. Immediately they hugged, Blessing said to his mother "I want you, mother. It is what I have always wanted. A mother that would cherish and want me no matter what. I want you to be part of my life".

"Am sorry for all those times I left you. I promise to be the mother you have always me to be and I will never abandon you again or leave you no matter what. You are part of what is most precious to me" said Blessing's mother, now crying.

"I have always loved you, mother, and always will" said Blessing now crying.

"I love you too, son. You have always been in my heart. Not a single day has passed by that I never think of you. I would never hurt you again" said Blessing's mother still crying, while Victoria continued to smiled.
