Axel is surprised to meet a woman he never expected to exist. He wanted to avoid her, let alone see Blair's unhealthy condition. The girl was still feeling nauseous. Axel quickly whispered something to Blair.
"Oeek!"
Blair could no longer contain herself. She puked all over Axel's clothes. The woman in front of Axel waved her hand and turned her face away in disgust.
Axel was sick of the disgusted look. He was still holding Blair's shoulder and whispering something. "Go to the toilet. I'll catch up with you. If you are in pain or having trouble, tell Carlos or Marco."
Blair immediately ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Axel's two bodyguards followed the girl according to the instructions from Axel's gaze.
"Is she your lover?" The woman standing in front of Axel stared sharply with a cynical voice. "You can only cause trouble."
"What business do you have here?" asked Axel. "Didn't the waiter in front say that I ordered from this restaurant?"
"I know. I wanted to know who was the person who ordered this restaurant and made me have to turn around to find another place to eat. I didn't think we would meet in a place like this, Axel."
Axel responded calmly and tried not to be provoked by the woman.
"You're an idiot, Axel. You rent an entire restaurant to have dinner with a girl like that? You don't even understand her situation. You better get over it and get rid of her, or else she'll cause trouble for your future. I know she's not a girl who comes from high society."
"Stop it, Cammile! Don't go too far. Even after my dad died, you are not worthy of being called mother. And don't interfere in my life."
Axel clenched his fists at his sides very tightly. His jaws tightened, but he said nothing and watched his stepmother walk past him.
Blair drained her stomach in the women's restroom until nothing was left.
"This is so embarrassing! I've soiled Axel's clothes in front of that beautiful woman. Is she Axel's girlfriend? Or is it his wife?"
The thought sent Blair into a panic.
"What if she thinks we're having an affair?"
Blair's body went limp. She leaned against the sink and wiped her mouth with water. She was trembling to imagine the problems that she never wanted to be present in her life.
"This pregnancy tortured me. What should I say if Axel asks me why I threw up? I can't go to the doctor, or he will find out I'm pregnant. I don't even know what Axel will do if Axel finds out I'm pregnant. What if he orders me to abort this baby? Not! I don't want that to happen. I wouldn't say I like the situation that happened to me. Why do I have to be bound by that goddamn contract?"
After tidying up, Blair walked out of the toilet and was greeted by Axel's two bodyguards. The women's restroom became a bit tense as only three were there.
"We have to go to the hospital, Miss," Carlos said politely.
Blair raised her hand and shook her head. "No, I just need to rest."
At that time, Axel was standing in front of Blair. He also just came out of the toilet to clean clothes.
"If you refuse, we return to the room now!"
"That's better," Blair answered awkwardly.
Axel threw a coat over Blair's shoulders and accompanied her out of the restaurant.
"Forgive me."
"What for?"
"I've embarrassed you in front of the woman earlier."
"She's my stepmother," said Axel, suddenly carefree.
Blair stopped and bowed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or to get in your way."
Axel pulled Blair's shoulder, so she lifted her head. "She's been rude to you. I didn't expect to meet her here, either. Tomorrow morning we leave this town. I don't want you to run into her again at the hotel."
"She's staying here? But I'm used to receiving that kind of treatment from people. Homeless life almost made me accept other people's insults and insults for me.
Suddenly Axel held Blair's arm and turned the girl so that she could look into his eyes. "Abandon such thoughts. From this moment on, you are Blair Tanzel, a girl of great worth and honour."
Blair would almost be moved if she didn't remember that maybe this whole thing was an act because Blair realized that a billionaire man like Axel Barney would not have done such a thing to her, who was just a poor bum.
Blair repeatedly instilled in her self-awareness that Axel wanted to play games with her. Maybe Axel will kick Blair back on the street if he's bored.
"So until the contract expires, I have to endure."
They went back to the hotel room. Blair refused to enter and froze at the door. Blair was about to turn around when Axel opened his bedroom door.
"Where are you going?" asked Axel.
"I thought this was your room. So I had a better sleep somewhere else. I can sleep in the lobby if you don't mind."
"I object! Are you crazy?" Axel looked annoyed. "You want to embarrass me by sleeping in the hotel lobby?"
Blair stuttered. "Then rent a hotel room for me at the cheapest rate. Put the bill in my debt." Blair tried to sound as calm as possible to cover up her nervousness.
Axel grinned as he pulled Blair into his room.
"What are you doing? I don't want to go in!"
"Your place is here!" Axel hissed. "Beside me!"
Axel locked the door and began to untie his tie. Blair recoiled in fright.
Axel took off his shirt one by one while walking closer to Blair, who kept dodging.
"Why do you think I bothered to bring you here?" grinned Axel.
The girl backed away in fright. She knew something like this would happen, and Blair wanted to avoid it. She tried to buy as much time as possible if she couldn't. She had to save her baby's life.
"I... I thank you for all your kindness, Axel. But, please don't forget I never wanted any of this. It was you who forced and trapped me into this situation."
Blair kept backing away until she stepped on the hem of her long dress and almost toppled over.
"No, you've already signed the contract. Then, according to the agreement, you must do whatever I order you to do. Including tonight, you have to sleep here with me."
Blair's face went pale. She had nowhere to retreat. Her back had hit the edge of the bed. Axel continued forward while throwing his shirt on the floor. Blair didn't know what to do until she fell onto the soft bed.
"I… I..." Blair was shaking violently.
"Should I tell him I'm pregnant?" Blair shook her head. "Not! He probably already knew I was pregnant and was purposely doing this to torment me. He is the meanest man I have ever met."
"You made me miss dinner. You've wasted my time and kindness, Blair," said Axel, who was now starting to take off the belt on his pants. He was standing right before Blair, trembling like a cold kitten.
"I have to do something," thought Blair.
She is looking for a way out of the situation. Blair closed her eyes and thought of all the things she could do.
"Should I pretend to vomit again?"
Axel was one step ahead of Blair.
"Tonight, you must satisfy my hunger!" Axel grinned. He lowered his head and brought his face to Blair's lips.
