Ch. 8Eleana Is Causing Trouble Again

"What do you think I came for? I was surprised to hear that my innocent sister wanted to jump in because of yesterday's thing. You have to have an open mind; you want to continue to mourn fate as if God will complete you again like an unmarried woman? I don't like women like you, thinking the world ends after something like this. You think the world will pity you? You think you'll find peace by dying today?” Eleana kept scolding Katherine instead of encouraging Katherine with gentle words.

“Katherine. You must rise. This is not an easy thing for you, but many women out there who are more unlucky than you even make this their job. This will pass, and it won't be as terrible as yesterday." Katherine massaged her temples; she was dizzy because these two people were taking something lightly that had traumatized her so much that she disgusted herself.

This may be a common thing for those who are willing to give a body as long as it is rewarded with a fantastic amount of money; unfortunately, Katherine is not that kind of woman. "Eleana, you better go home." It was Katherine who spoke; she didn't want to burden her mind with Eleana and her mother's words.

"You kicked me out at my mother's house?" Eleana protested; she was often like this with Katherine, protecting and guarding each other in an attitude that was far from harmonious.

“Eleana, Katherine needs some rest. Let's go outside and talk," said Rowena.

"You should feel grateful if there is no mother; maybe you've broken a bone down there." Eleana stuck her tongue out at Katherine while Kathe just chuckled at her.

"Come on, mom," Eleana got up; she took Rowena's hand to get out of Katherine's room together.

“Ah, it looks like you'll be surprised by tomorrow's news. I hope you are more excited to live after hearing about it tomorrow,” Eleana said while looking back.

"Don't tell me that tomorrow there will be a letter that is astonishing as a result of your actions," Katherine prodded.

"Just watch tomorrow; you'll think I'm really good at overcoming this."

"Oh my God, Eleana. You're going to trouble me again?”

“Katherine, take time to rest!!” Rowena snapped because she felt Kath talked too much; moreover, Kathe always blamed Eleana for what she did, even though Eleana always did everything right and right. After all, we have to bully if we don't want to be bullied; we have to pounce if we don't want to be pounced on; that's what Rowena taught her two daughters; unfortunately, it never reached Katherine's ears.

Eleana and Rowena left Katherine's room, and while clinging to her mother's arms, Eleana said that her plan would work now. "So you've spread the bad news about that woman?" Rowena asked with a proud look at her daughter.

"I'm sure after this Thomas will be provoked to go home," guessed Eleana. Rowena stroked Eleana's head, which was on her shoulder.

“I always believe in you; do whatever you want. Make the Orva family regret daring to play games with you. Your title is higher; I hope you can use this opportunity properly and correctly. Don't be a weak woman like Katherine; she was never on our side." Rowena took Eleana to sit on the sofa in the living room.

"I'm sure Katherine will come to my house tomorrow; she will ruin my plans. But I've made it as thoroughly as possible; Katherine can't thwart it. At least this will make Katherine excited to live her life again. I hope that gradually she will be on our side and think the same as us.”

"I can't let go of wishing for that; to love her fully, we need to keep her on the same path as us."

"That's right, mom, sometimes I am grateful because she always fixes my problems, but most of the time she thwarts the plans I have made as thoroughly as possible. This time I will be stronger than Katherine and make Lady Darrellyn Orva miserable by repeatedly snatching my husband."

***

That morning, Sir. James Orva's family was struck again by a disaster, which again dragged away the name of his first daughter. Rumors circulated that the princess was again the third person in the relationship between Viscount Thomas and his wife Eleana Russell. The news in the newspaper written by Mrs. Margareth said that Darrellyn Orva received Viscount Thomas into her house every night when the Viscountess was pregnant.

Katherine put the newspaper down on the table, hot chocolate that had steam steaming on top of it. Kath had not had time to drink at all. Kath's thoughts went far away while biting her fingernails. She tried to think of something that could silence the public about something involving her sister.

It's been three days since Kath has just been at home and done nothing after yesterday's incident, which kept her awake every night because she was forced to remember the disgusting incident she had experienced. Eleana's words yesterday really proved true; this exciting news appeared today, and Kath had to act again, forgetting yesterday's events and even all her bad thoughts to end her life. Returning to her duty of living in this world, Kath must return to save Eleana from various kinds of scandals.

Oh my God, she don't know how many times her older sister has been in the newspapers with unpleasant titles. Shouldn't one's life be a private thing that doesn't need to be consumed by the public? but Eleana paced the newspapers. Kath rose with all the determination that she should not sit idly by lamenting fate; she must protect the people she has as much as possible to make them realize their mistakes and change for the sake of a calm and normal life like what she had dreamed of all her life.

She reached for the red robes that hung on a wire hook beside the door. It was so cold Scotland for winter had come that Kath and Rowena had purposely kept several robes beside the entrance so they never went out without forgetting extra clothes. The sound of the door closing at the same time as Rowena stepped into the living room and saw Kath's back walking out of the house in her robes. Rowena's eyes found the hot chocolate on the table Kath had not touched at all.

Rowena decided to move closer to the table and saw the newspapers that had just come out today. "Darrelyn Orva is again the third woman in the relationship between Viscount Thomas and his wife." The title that was printed clearly on a newspaper made Rowena smile. Eleana was indeed the best at getting revenge. Rowena indifferently threw the paper back on the table and walked away with the news.

Rowena immediately returned to her room, shouting a little to her maid, "Joe, go and convey my message to Sir. Bertie to come here because Kath is out, and I'm free to make love again because now Kath is fine."
