Returning to the past was a gift for Yua, where he could write a new story that was better than the previous one. He could also use past experiences as lessons so that they wouldn't happen again and become a second regret.
Like this morning, Yua returned to school, more precisely, went to school as usual. Carrying her favorite purple bag, she walked happily down the corridor. Yua's friends, whom she previously thought were good, now revealed their true nature, so Yua would be more selective in making friends from now on.
Yua was about to pass Abra's class, her husband, or not because on this date, he and Abra had not yet decided to have a love affair. What was certain was that when he was at the entrance to Abra's class, he saw the man joking with his friends as if he had no burden, very different from what Yua had seen so far.
"Yua!" a voice screamed her name. Yua turned around and saw Kylla running towards her.
Kylla, Yua's friend, had proven to be a good friend during that incident. Therefore, he would treat Kylla similarly.
"Good morning, Kylla," said Yua when her friend was in front of her.
"Why didn't you go to school yesterday? Are you sick?" Kylla asked worriedly and checked Yua's body temperature using the palm of her hand. "Normal, really."
Yua laughed a little. "I just wanted to skip class," she answered as she continued her way to class.
"By the way, you have a match tomorrow, right? Which high school is that at?" Kylla remembered the name of the high school that Yua had mentioned last week.
"Bakti Jiwa High School," said Yua in response to Kylla's words.
"Yes, that high school. They say the basketball kids there are good. But I'm sure that our high school will definitely win. There's Yua," Kylla's words made Yua remember the times when she made everyone in the stadium feel disappointed because of her. Yua knew that many people hoped that her high school would win, but because her teammates lacked focus, they ended up losing in the final round. Yes, that incident would happen next week, which meant Yua could still write a new chapter in her life.
"Cheer up, Yua!" Kylla said again while clenching her fists towards Yua, showing her enthusiasm.
After going through a series of lessons today, the school bell finally rang, like a beautiful tune. All the students in their class breathed a sigh of relief because they were free from Mr. Jafar's lessons, which were able to make their brains boil.
After saying hello, Mr. Jafar left the class followed by the students, except Yua and Kylla, who were currently planning to go together because there was something she wanted to buy for Kylla's mother's birthday.
"What's good to buy, huh?" Kylla asked Yua, who was currently packing her books into her bag.
"Mmm," Yua thought for a moment. "How about giving her shoes?" she suggested.
Kylla nodded. "Yes, that's fine. I also saw yesterday that Mom's shoes were starting to wear out."
The two of them left the classroom after deciding what things they should buy. Previously, they ordered a taxi to take them to their destination.
When they arrived at the school gate, Kylla's cell phone suddenly rang, and it turned out to be her mother who was calling.
"Hello, ma'am?" Kylla greeted after pressing the blue button on the cellphone.
"Hello, son. Where are you?" her mother asked on the phone.
"Kylla is with Yua, ma'am." Kylla answered, not providing more details about where they were going.
"Oh, okay. I'll pick up Yua later. Mom will go to the restaurant with my sister and father. You can go straight there, okay?" said her mother, to which Kylla nodded, even though Kylla knew for sure that her mother would not see her response.
"That's it, son. Mother hangs up the phone."
"Okay, ma'am."
Kylla put her cellphone back into her backpack and walked again towards the school gate, where the taxi she had ordered was waiting.
After traveling approximately 10 minutes, they arrived at the shopping center. Yua and Kylla immediately went to their regular shoe shop to save time.
"Good, isn't it?" Kylla showed off brown loafers decorated with ribbons on them.
"Good. Suits your mother's gentle character," said Yua, which made Kylla smile happily.
"Okay. Buy this one, okay?" Kylla went to the cashier to pay. Meanwhile, Yua was still paying attention to the rows of loafers specifically for men. He remembered that he had bought one for Adra because the man felt he had to be responsible for himself and the baby in her womb by looking for a job. Yes, their relationship used to be that harmonious.
"That's it, here." Kylla's words made Yua wake up from her reverie. Yua glanced at the handkerchief that Kylla was carrying and immediately left the shop.
"Where are we going?" Yua asked when they were outside the shopping center.
"Mom wants to invite us to eat together. You're coming along, okay?" Kylla's eyes lit up, so Yua felt sorry for following her. Yua, who was aware of this, nodded her head, which made Kylla happy.
"Yes! Thanks, Yua," Kylla took Yua's hand towards the public transportation stop. Because their position is not too far from the restaurant, it would be a shame to use a taxi at a slightly higher price.
On the way, Kylla kept talking about her beloved dog, which made her more and more excited every day. From riding on his little brother's toy troll to obeying his words to stand and sit. Even though Yua doesn't really like dogs, the result of Kylla telling it enthusiastically made Yua feel a little annoyed.
"What does Yua like?" Kylla asked after ending the story about her dog.
Yua paused for a moment to think about what animal she liked. Because she rarely interacts with animals, Yua herself doesn't know what her favorite animal is.
"Um-" Instead of finding his favorite animal, he thought more about the gerbera flower that he really liked. With so many flower petals, gerbera is very beautiful to look at, especially since the flower also has a deep meaning.
"Butterflies. I like butterflies," Yua answered suddenly, making Kylla a little surprised.
"Butterfly?" Kylla asked because she was surprised by the answer Yua gave.
"I like flowers and usually flowers have butterflies flying freely on them. It's very beautiful," answered Yua to which Kylla nodded.
After that, there was silence. Yua circled the entire contents of the bus she was on, it was a little quiet. He opened his backpack intending to take out his cell phone, but his eyes were locked on a brown book that he found yesterday in his room, which he believed could grant his wish. Gerbera, Yua decided to name it because books were like flowers in her opinion. Beautiful but mysterious.
As he was about to close his backpack, suddenly a restless movement next to him made him look. Yua was shocked when she saw Kylla's shocked face.
"Why, Kyll?" Yua asked worriedly. Kylla looked at him with slow movements and with an expression that was much more worried than before.
"Mother-" Kylla's eyes filled with tears and if she continued her words tears would surely fall, "Mother had an accident."
