That night, Kavita faced the lit laptop with a serious face, she had to quickly draft a new contract that was more lucrative for both parties.
Kavita would do anything in the contract except have intercourse, as Ezra had also agreed not to include it in the obligations.
Since their contract, marriage had to be kept a tight secret from the public, including family and work colleagues.
“What new advantage do I have to give Mr Danadyaksa?” murmured Kavita as she played with her hair. Having interacted with him for so long had made her understand that everything sometimes had to be calculated.
Even in a domestic relationship, a husband is able to protect, and a wife will be devoted.
“I can’t possibly give Mr Danadyaksa his rights as a husband, no ... we agreed ...” Kavita’s fingers repeatedly typed and re-deleted her previous post, until she felt like her head was going to explode soon.
In the midst of Kavita’s brainstorming, the mobile phone on the table suddenly rings loudly.
“Hello?”
“What time is it, why aren’t you home?” Deryl’s voice greets Kavita’s ears.
“Still working,” Kavita replies flatly.
“Seriously, your contract should be over, right?”
“Yes, but I need an official termination letter because the money isn’t too bad, right?”
Deryl sounded excited. “Then get it over with, and come home-I’m waiting for you, darling.”
Frowning in disgust, Kavita pulls the phone away from her ear.
“Don’t you have Yura by your side?”
“Indeed, but of course it wouldn’t be complete if you weren’t here ....”
Kavita shook her head at Deryl’s attitude as if nothing had happened, simply because he thought it was justified to remarry without his wife’s consent.
“Deryl, let’s go to bed now ....”
Suddenly, a female voice entered their conversation.
“Ah, one second! Kavita, I’m closing up first, don’t forget ....”
Tut! Kavita disconnected the call right then and there, disgust and disgust mixed together in her head.
“What am I lacking as a wife ...” Kavita lamented as she slumped on the floor.
If the standard of a good and dutiful wife was always measured by their consent when their husband took another wife, there would definitely be some women who would choose to separate.
The next day, Kavita went to Ezra’s room as usual to take care of his business.
“I’m going to the office today, Sir.” Kavita informed him as she prepared Ezra’s briefcase. “I’ve prepared breakfast in the kitchen, you can eat right away.”
Ezra only responds with a brief nod, his five fingers busy combing the front of his dark hair until Kavita holds out a real comb to him.
“Sir, I have something to ask you.”
“What else?”
Ezra, who was ready to get into the car, turned to look at Kavita, who was driving him.
“If I’m ready with a new contract, do I also have to write a termination letter for the old one?”
Ezra thought for a while.
“You just make the new contract first,” he said. “If I agree, you can add a clause stipulating that the old contract is no longer valid.”
“Yes, Sir.” Kavita nods politely, and waits until Ezra’s car drives away from the Danadyaksa residence.
With half an hour left before office hours, Kavita chooses to use it to double-check the new contract letter she spent the night drafting.
As she checks, Kavita’s mobile phone keeps ringing, breaking her concentration.
“Deryl again ...” Kavita glared at the screen of her mobile phone with no interest in answering the call, she had to finish the new contract letter quickly before the rest of the old contract ran out.

“How was it?”
Deryl said nothing when Karin asked.
“I need to pay the tuition fee, you said you’d give it to me if Kavita transfers the money?”
Deryl waved his hand. “I’ll ask your sister-in-law first ....”
“Didn’t Kavita give me any money in the past?” Karin commented in surprise. “Doesn’t Kavita always transfer regularly?”
“I used it for the shop’s capital, it can be replaced by Kavita later too ....”
“Yes, if Kavita transfers again, if not? What will happen to my tuition fees?”
Deryl chuckles, he’s been trying to call Kavita, but she hasn’t picked up since earlier.
“Didn’t you see that your sister-in-law didn’t come home last night?”
“Yes, that’s your risk, who told you to use my school money for shop capital?”
“You’re so smart!”
“That’s right, even though Kavita always transfers for all our needs – why did she use my tuition money too?”
“Karin!” Deryl glared at his sister. “I’ll ask Kavita when she gets home, it’s so noisy. Go help Yura cook!”
Karin pressed her lips together. “I’m going to school.”
Deryl continued to grumble, regretting not asking Kavita for some money as soon as his first wife returned home.
“Maybe she’s still busy,” Deryl mutters as she smokes a cigarette in the backyard. “It’s a good thing she can take a lot of money from her rich boss.”
A smile mixed with billowing smoke filled the air as Deryl imagined how much money Kavita would give him later.
“Hello?”
After a long period of ignoring her husband’s messages and phone calls, Kavita is ready to answer when office hours are over.
“Why didn’t you come home last night?” Deryl asked once the line was connected. “I was lonely waiting for you at home ....”
Kavita had to fight the urge to vomit right then and there.
“I had to work anyway, the contract with my boss is another matter.” Kavita explained lazily.
“Oh, okay! The important thing is that your boss has paid everything, right?” Deryl asked enthusiastically. “Can you transfer it now?”
“What?”
“The money!”
“You mean my money?” Kavita emphasized, so Deryl could be a little embarrassed.
“Yes, that’s usually the case, isn’t it, darling?” Deryl laughed obnoxiously. “The husband’s money is the wife’s money, and vice versa-the wife’s money is the husband’s money.”
Kavita wanted to scream at that moment, but she struggled to restrain herself because there were still a few employees nearby who were clearing the tables.
“The shop you manage should generate a turnover that you can use for your daily needs,” Kavita reminds her. “Can’t you just manage it?”
“Ah, this has nothing to do with the shop’s turnover, darling!” Deryl said anxiously. “But I’m asking about your usual transfer money! This month you haven’t transferred at all, that’s why I reminded you—because Karin has to pay school fees ....”
“Tell Karin to call me herself,” Kavita interrupts irritably.
“But, darling ....”
Again, Kavita cuts the connection before Deryl can finish speaking.
“Karin, you need school fees for this month, right?” Kavita says when Karin calls her.
“Yes, but the problem is that my tuition fees have not been paid for three months ....”
