CHAPTER FIVE
Henry elucidated his personality more intimate to Fiona. He divulged to her that he was the stranger who gave her the free ride that very night.
“Oh! It's you,” Fiona lamented, her voice raised barely above a whisper.
“Yeah, it's me Fiona. I've been expecting when I will see you again. You cut my attention rapidly since how encounter,” Henry chuckled, his eyeballs sparking with happiness, making Fiona's heart raced.
This was how Henry open a window of new relationship to Fiona. They began seeing each other and learn more about themselves.
As Fiona began rebuilding her life with Henry's support, she noticed a profound impact on her son David as well. David nodded in agreement, his eyes shining with happiness. "Yeah, Henry, you're the best thing that's ever happened to us."
Fiona knew that she had made the right choice, choosing Henry as a partner. He had not only helped her rebuild her life but had also become a loving father figure to David. Together, they were creating a new sense of purpose and happiness, one that they never thought possible.
Henry, now with the presence of Fiona and David in his life was exploring and doing absolutely amazing in
his company. He gained new insight from new clients and potential customers.
Within a period of one week, Henry, demolished his five biggest warehouses and build an enormous ones respectively.
Behind every successful man there must always be a good woman. Henry attested to this opinion, the very moment Fiona stepped into her life.
Henry's grew to be one of the most biggest and influential richest man in New York. Henry supported David more likely as his own biological son in all ramifications.
Nelly kept playing her role as a good friend she was. She even visited Fiona during the weekend. This is always when she's free from work.
One evening, Frederick went to a coffee shop to get some coffee for himself. He saw a lady approaching him from a distance. Initially, he had the premonitions that it was Fiona due to the similarities of Fiona's features he also find in the lady.
“Fiona”, Frederick yelled, his voice trembling with great phobia pondering inside him. The lady walked pass him without uttering an iota of words. After some moments, it dawned on him that he wasn't speaking to Fiona.
Frederick didn't mine searching more thoroughly for Fiona and his son David. He was living a luxurious life, enjoying everything he got from Fiona.
On the other hand, Frederick gave Sophia the lead role in his new movie production. As this escalated into a conflict between Frederick's mistress and Sophia the industry.
Frederick regretted his actions of succumbing to Sophia's amorous antics when he witnessed his mistress outpouring her rage on him.
He tried everything humanly possible to settle the conflict between his mistress and Sophia. Before they went into the movie production.
The movie industry aroused interest in the new movie Frederick produced with his crew members. They decided to host a movie premiere for it.
A lot of celebrities, fans, top political figures, richest, and influential figures in the state were invited to this great event. Henry was also invited to this great event. So, he decided to attend the event with Fiona his fiancee.
As Fiona stepped out of the sleek black limousine and onto the red carpet, the paparazzi bulbs flashed like a frenzy of fireflies. She was resplendent in a stunning silver gown, her hair styled to perfection, and her fiancé, Henry, the richest billionaire in New York, by her side.
Fredrick, standing at the entrance of the movie theater, felt his heart sink like a stone. He had thought he had moved on, but the sight of Fiona, radiant and happy, brought back a torrent of memories and regrets.
He remembered the way she used to smile at him, the way her eyes sparkled in the sunlight, and the way her touch set his soul on fire. He remembered the way he had hurt her, the way he had broken her heart, and the way he had lost her forever.
As Fiona and Henry walked towards him, Fredrick felt a sense of dread wash over him. He knew he couldn't bear to face her, to see the happiness in her eyes, to know that she had moved on and found love again.
"Fiona," he whispered, his voice barely audible over the din of the crowd.
She turned to him, her eyes locking onto his, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Fredrick felt his world come crashing down around him.
"Henry, darling, let's go inside," Fiona said, her voice cold and detached, as if she was addressing a stranger.
As they walked past him, Fredrick felt a hand on his shoulder. "You look like you've seen a ghost, buddy," his friend whispered.
Fredrick shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs. "I think I just saw my future walking away from me," he said, his voice laced with regret.
And with that, the lights went dark, the movie began, and Fredrick was left standing alone in the shadows, wondering what could have been...
