La Rossa stared intently into the masked man's retinas, the look in his eyes reminiscent of someone La Rossa knew but did not know who. She tried to remember that person but La Rossa could not find it in her memory at all.
La Rossa remembered that the look in those eyes was also exactly the same as that of Gilbert, the target she failed to kill. Taoi Gilbert only had one eyeball, while the masked man before her had two. '
Are they the same person or are they two different people with the same eyes? But it's impossible for two different people to have the exact same look in their eyes.' La Rossa thought to herself.
La Rossa's gaze met the masked man's, she revealed a calm and soothing look. But a second later he changed his look to reveal a cold and cruel look. La Rossa felt confused by this situation, how could he change his appearance in just a matter of seconds.
La Rossa who has been in the dark world has just encountered a situation like this. In all her years as a hitman, she had never seen someone like the masked man, who had such good acting skills. La Rossa thought to herself, 'is it Gilbert? But it's impossible, Gilbert doesn't have an eyeball on his right side, while he has two perfect eyeballs.'
Lucas who saw the interaction of the two decided to leave the room, he felt like an invisible ghost, having been ignored by the two people in front of him.
"Uhmm...," Lucas cleared his throat "I'll be going now, if you need anything or have anything just call Doctor Aaron, I also sent Sister Rita to look after you," Lucas said to La Rossa who was answered with a nod of her head.
The masked man turned his body to face Lucas, he looked at Lucas and nodded his head. Lucas only smiled wryly in response to the masked man's attitude.
"Can't you thank me for saving the person in your heart?" Lucas whispered near the masked man's ear.
The masked man didn't say anything, he had a cold, flat look in his eyes, the expression on his face Lucas couldn't see because it was covered by the mask.
"Yes... yes... yes..., I know you're reluctant to say it, but I know you are," Lucas said then he walked away leaving the masked man and La Rossa alone in the VVIP room.
"Where is he going? Why did he leave me with another doctor?" asked La Rossa.
"He is going to America to see his family," replied the masked man briefly.
The masked man moved the chair next to the bed, he then landed his butt on the chair. The masked man stared at La Rossa without making a sound.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" asked La Rosa.
"It's okay," replied the masked man.
"Did you save me?" La Rossa asked the masked man again.
The masked man didn't say anything, instead he changed the subject.
"Do your wounds still hurt?" asked the masked man with a cold, flat look in his eyes, as well as his tone of voice.
"Huum, a little," La Rossa replied.
"What's going on? Why is there poison in your bloodstream?" asked the masked man.
"I don't know either, maybe that person smeared the knife with poison before stabbing it into me," replied La Rossa who was just guessing what happened to her.
"If it was someone else he would have died right then and there, but unlike you what made you survive the poison?" the masked man asked again about the poison in La Rossa's killer.
"I don't know either," La Rossa replied honestly.
She herself also wondered how she could fight the poison that was in her body and almost filled her bloodstream. La Rossa continued to think as her eyebrows knitted together.
"Is it because of that?" said La Rossa hesitantly.
"Because of what?" asked the masked man curiously.
La Rossa was surprised that the masked man's hearing was so sharp. Even though he only spoke very softly, the masked man was able to hear him.
"Nothing," La Rossa replied.
"Just tell me," the masked man urged.
"I really don't know, it's just my presumption," La Rossa replied.
The masked man seemed disappoint with La Rossa's answer, he was hoping she would tell him everything, but she was still trying to hide everything from him.
The masked man wanted La Rossa to put her trust in him, he wanted to be the one who continued to be close to her. But apparently La Rossa still needed time for that.
Seeing La Rossa close her eyes, the masked man pulled off La Rossa's blanket and fixed her. He looked closely at La Rossa's face and then smiled faintly. He kept her company until she fell asleep and then left, leaving her alone in the VVIP room.
The next day, La Rossa woke up she rubbed her eyes and circulated her gaze in all directions, she looked for the masked man but did not find in the room, what she found was the figure of a nurse who was curled up on the sofa in the VVIP room.
La Rossa tried to get up and get off the cage bed, because her body was still very weak she fell and the sound of the thud had awakened the sleeping nurse.
"Miss! Forgive me for neglecting to look after you," said the nurse whose name was Rita Permata Sari and whose name was pinned to her upper right chest. She ran to La Rossa and helped her to stand up.

Rita again carried La Rossa and helped her up to the cage, La Rossa did not want to lie down she just wanted to sit down. Rita helped La Rossa sit down by giving her a pillow that she piled up behind her back to make her feel comfortable.
