He then performed surgery and asked the other doctors to help him, it turned out that La Rossa not only had stab wounds, she also had symptoms of poisoning.

"Doc, this patient has not only lost a lot of blood but he is also poisoned, and the poison has almost spread throughout his blood,

" said one of the Doctors in the room.

"Have you neutralized the poison?" asked Lucas.

"We have, it's just that we have a problem that there is no AB- blood stock, we have contacted several hospitals and they don't have it," said the doctor explaining the patient's condition.

"Is there any left?" asked Lucas.

They all shook their heads, their faces already showing indescribable worry.

They had all imagined the worst that would happen to them, while everyone was tense and worried, the door to the operating room opened and in came a doctor with a tired face.

He carried a blood bag in his hand. Seeing him carrying a blood bag everyone breathed a sigh of relief, without waiting any longer they performed surgery on La Rossa, if not treated quickly the stakes were life.

For two hours they had been struggling in the operating room and finally with a shabby face Lucas came out of the operating room and gave news about La Rossa's condition to the masked man.

"How is it?" the masked man asked in a worried and anxious tone.

"Everything is fine, but___"

"But what?" the masked man asked impatiently.

"But he's in a coma," said Lucas.

"What do you mean by coma?" the masked man asked anxiously.

"Who is she?" asked Lucas, "Why are you so worried about her?"

"Nobody," the masked man coldly replied.

"Come on, I know who you are, why keep it from me," Lucas urged.

"Now move him to the VVIP room, and don't let a fly know about him," ordered the masked man trying to change the subject.

"Do it yourself!" said Lucas in an angry and annoyed tone, and he walked away from the masked man.

'Huh! It's so easy for him to give orders, when you can just do it yourself,' Lucas snorted in annoyance.

He left the hospital without looking back, he had known the masked man for decades, so he wasn't afraid of him. Only a few people knew the real identity of the masked man including himself.

He asked the nurses to move him to the VVIP room and brought all the equipment in the ICU room to be moved to the VVIP room.

During La Rossa's coma, he was always by her side. He faithfully accompanied La Rossa even though it was only at night.

It had been a month since La Rossa was under treatment at the hospital, during which time she had no signs of regaining consciousness, and the masked man always accompanied her faithfully.

"Hurry up and wake up, don't you want to see the beauty of the world again?" said the man softly in La Rossa's ear.

"Don't you want to see me?" the man continued to ask La Rossa who was lying motionless.

"I miss you," said the man as he grasped La Rossa's hand tightly, then he came closer to La Rossa's face.

He leaned down to bring his head closer to La Rossa's face, he gently stroked her smooth cheek then he also touched La Rossa's pale lips with his fingertips. She then brought her face closer and kissed La Rossa's thin lips, suddenly the door to the room opened.
The masked man was startled when he heard the door to the room open and spontaneously looked back to find Lucas coming, he had surprised him.

"Don't take any chances," Lucas said as he stepped forward to the masked man.

"Why did you come in without knocking?" the masked man said irritably.

"Suit yourself!" replied Lucas casually.

"Move aside, I want to check it out," Lucas said sternly.

The masked man tilted his body, he moved out of the way of La Rossa and made room for Lucas to examine La Rossa.

"It seems she is reluctant to wake up, most likely there is a trauma that makes her not want to return to this world," Lucas said explaining La Rossa's condition to the masked man.

"Trauma?" repeated the masked man.

"Huum," Lucas replied briefly.

The masked man wrinkled his forehead, his eyebrows knitted together. He seemed to be deep in thought.

"What made you afraid to return to this world? What was the tragedy?" the masked man murmured softly.

"I'm here to say goodbye to you, that I'm going to America tonight and that my work will be handed over to Doctor Aaron," said Lucas.

"Why all of a sudden!" said the masked man, annoyed by Lucas' explanation.

"Everything is sudden, I also just got news from Papa that Oma was hospitalized," said Lucas in a sad tone because his uncle was sick.

"Go away!" said the masked man.

"Can't you turn into the person you used to be, the person I knew with that warmth, that smile, I miss her," Lucas said sadly.

"He's dead! Don't ever remind me of him," the masked man fumed.

"But...," Lucas stopped himself as he stared into the masked man's retinas.

There was hatred and anger in his gaze, he stared intently at Lucas with eyes filled with rage.

"I'm sorry," Lucas whispered in a sad tone.

While they were arguing, La Rossa moved her fingers. "Water," she whispered.

Lucas who was close to La Rossa heard her soft voice, he immediately turned his body to face La Rossa who was lying helplessly. The masked man approached and just as Lucas was about to give her a drink, he was suddenly stopped by the masked man.

"Let me do it," the masked man pleaded.

Lucas handed the masked man the bottle of mineral water he was holding and he also stepped back to make room for the masked man.

The masked man grabbed the mineral water in the bottle and dripped it on La Rossa's lips drop by drop using a straw, La Rossa whose lips were wet tried to sip the water with her eyes still closed.

The masked man continued to give La Rossa water through the straw little by little as she was still not fully recovered. Seeing La Rossa take a sip of the water, the masked man turned up the corners of his lips, a happy twinkle in his eyes. Unfortunately, Lucas did not see that.
