"It's done," said Professor Huang as he tidied up all his medical equipment.

"I need money to look for medicinal plants in Borneo," continued Professor Huang.

"You're going to Borneo?" wondered La Rossa.

"Yes. Apparently there are many rare plants there, especially in the deep forest. And you know that medicine I gave you the other day? I found it there," said Professor Huang.

"You mean the medicine to counteract the poison?" asked La Rossa.

She remembered the words of the doctor who treated her at that time, if it wasn't her then that person would have died, but it was different with her. He was able to get through everything.

"Yes. That medicine that I concocted with various other types of poison, did you feel the effect?" Professor Huang couldn't wait for La Rossa's answer.

La Rossa did not answer immediately, she was silent. Her mind drifted far away somewhere. Professor Huang's words snapped La Rossa out of her reverie.

"How?" asked Professor Huang impatiently.

"What?" replied La Rossa.

"The cure!" snapped Professor Huang irritably.

La Rossa laughed so hard at the look on Professor Huang's face, she forgot about her stitches. Her laughter made the wound painful, she hissed while holding the wound on her stomach.

"Taste it! You qualify!" teased Professor Huang with a twist of his mouth.

They stared at each other and locked gazes, none of them willing to budge. They were all great people in their respective fields, but a second later they were laughing together.

They stare at each other and lock gazes, no one willing to budge. They were all great people in their respective fields, but a second later they were laughing together.

"Ha ... ha ... ha ...," they laughed together, looking so happy. It's like there's no burden, it's free. Free.

La Rossa breathed heavily, she exhaled roughly. "hmmffpp,"

"I'll transfer the money. Do whatever you want to do, make your life happy by doing what you love. Don't forget to tell Old Bandot Jhonny after you get to Kalimantan and meet him,"

"I'll give you his address, remember! Don't forget to meet your best friend," La Rossa threatened.

"Yes... yes! Chatty," snapped Professor Huang.

"Thank you," La Rossa said as she hugged Professor Huang's old body.

"Don't push too hard if you can't anymore, I don't want to lose my loved ones again," La Rossa whispered.

Professor Huang was moved by La Rossa's words to tears. She wiped them away with the back of her wrinkled hand.

"Don't forget to bring a solid team, I'll ask Miller to prepare it for you," La Rossa said without letting go of her hug.

Professor Huang did not say anything, he only returned La Rossa's hug even tighter. La Rossa broke the embrace, she looked deeply into Professor Huang's old eyes.

"Take care of yourself, if anything happens to you let me know!" said La Rossa.

She did not wait for Professor Huang's answer, La Rossa immediately left the old man in the darkness of the night, her shadow was no longer visible. She left Professor Huang frozen in silence.

"That child," muttered Professor Huang softly.

Then he left his small research room. He walked away from the room where he had spent most of his time.

Professor Huang sighed heavily, he felt the burden on his heart that had been settling felt lifted little by little when he was with La Rossa.

His sadness was relieved when he was with La Rossa, he recalled the incident that had taken his son and wife. "If only I hadn't done it then, maybe I'd still be with you," he mused, sadness radiating from his old eyes.

Meanwhile La Rossa had now arrived at the door of her room, she was already feeling very tired and wanted to immediately go in and lay down her body that she felt so tired.

When she opened the door to her room, how surprised she was to find a familiar figure sitting on the edge of the bed with her legs crossed. A cold aura immediately emanated from her body when she saw La Rossa coming. Her face covered in a silver mask added to her cold and cruel aura.

La Rossa approached him, standing right in front of him. Fearlessly, she looked deeply into the masked man's eyes until they penetrated into his blue retinas.

"Gilbert," La Rossa called softly. Without looking away from his eyes for a second.

The masked man didn't answer, he stared back into La Rossa's honey-brown eyes. Suddenly, without La Rossa expecting it, he immediately pulled La Rossa's body in front of him into his arms.

The masked man's movements were so fast and sudden, it made La Rossa immediately sit on his lap. La Rossa's eyes were wide.

The masked man's movements were so quick and sudden, it made La Rossa immediately fall onto his lap. La Rossa's eyes were wide.

She was frozen in the masked man's lap. It took her a while to gather her consciousness. La Rossa's heart was racing, this was her first time interacting with a man outside of her duties.

La Rossa turned her face away when she realized she was sitting on the lap of the masked man. Her face already red with embarrassment, she pushed the masked man's chest, but to no avail.

"Where did you come from?" the Masked Man asked with emphasis.

"None of your business!" snapped La Rossa equally coldly.

"It will be my business if it concerns you!" said the Masked Man.

La Rossa was silent, trying to digest what the Masked Man had said.

"What do you mean?" curiosity made La Rossa choose to ask.

The Masked Man removed his mask, revealing one side of his damaged face. His eyes glared sadly right into La Rossa's retinas.

"Gilbert!" snapped La Rossa.

"So it's really you? Then how did you get here?" asked La Rossa, her hand reaching out to touch the wound on Gilbert's face.

"I couldn't rest easy when Jonathan told me that you went alone to meet the Vangsed group leader," explained Gilbert.

Gilbert was silent, he seemed to be thinking
