King Arthur raised his eyebrows in astonishment, quite surprised to hear the news about Prince James practicing swordsmanship. King Arthur kept several people eyeing Prince James' every move while he lived in the castle, without other people's knowledge. Even the Queen didn't know about this.
In many people's eyes, King Arthur's indifference to Prince James is the most prominent aspect of their view. How firm he was in educating his son until James felt cooped up in his own house.
Prince James was not allowed to meet others except Jasmine, including his family. The Queen's illness and her move from the main palace still did not move King Arthur's heart enough to stop the punishment of Prince James.
Even so, King Arthur is still a father. Prince James is his flesh and blood. No matter how hard he raised Prince James, King Arthur still thought of him every day and cared for him. Therefore, he always asks people to watch and protect him from a distance.
King Arthur would get information about Prince James daily, even though what they reported was always the same and always stayed the same. King Arthur always listened to make sure Prince James was okay. That way, he could always see his son's progress daily.
Today's news was very different from what he usually received.
"What is the thing that made him suddenly want to play swords?"
"Sorry, Your Highness. I do not know why Prince James suddenly started playing swords. Since yesterday, Prince James has behaved the same as any other day. There shouldn't be any outside factors influencing it; it could be his own decision," answered the aide.
King Arthur took a deep breath, not knowing it was because of the relief inside him that hearing good things about Prince James' change pleased him quite a bit. Or maybe it was because he felt guilty for pushing Prince James so hard that his son eventually got tired and changed his mind. He was starting to want to learn what had been demanded of him.
King Arthur thought that if Prince James' change was because of him, he might have self-reflected enough and finally realized that what King Arthur had wanted from him all along was true.
"Keep watching over Prince Arthur as usual and updating me," King Arthur ordered.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"Go."
The aide bowed his head, paying respects before resigning from the King's presence.
"The child is finally making progress as I expected. The Queen should be happy to hear this," King Arthur muttered, thinking how excited The Queen would be if she learned of this news. Little did he know that Jasmine was the first person who had told the Queen beforehand.

"Mother, where do you want to go?" Jasmine asked.
"Of course, to meet your Brother."
"But, ma'am. Father will not allow you to go see James."
The Queen's radiant face vanished in the twinkling of an eye, replaced by an unsightly frown. Thinking back on King Arthur's unreasonable ban, The Queen felt angry. He still doesn't understand The King's purpose in locking up his son like this.
Now that Prince James had finally shown some of the progress and change King Arthur wanted, The Queen was still determining whether she had heard the news. I don't know what his reaction was when he heard good things coming from Prince James.
"Don't mind your father; Mother will take care of it herself later. Dare he scolds Mother, see what will happen."
Jasmine subconsciously swallowed hard. She knew and was keenly aware of how superior the Queen was to the King. King Arthur could have been a state leader whose people were highly respected. He was famous for his firmness and authority and always received praise and sound views from the people.
They all did not know that King Arthur, greatly admired, would lose all his authority in front of the Empress. There is a saying that a great man will submit and obey someone he loves. You can imagine how much King Arthur loved Queen Anna.
"Then I will accompany Mother there as well."
The Queen nodded her head in agreement. There was nothing wrong with Jasmine coming with her. Besides, the girl had been there more often than he had. The Queen can't wait to meet James soon.
Her heart involuntarily beat faster than usual. The Queen did not know what kind of reaction James would have when he met her again after such a long time. Has his son changed significantly, or is he still the same as the James he used to know?
But the punishment and the pressure he got changed the man's personality a little. Even so, The Queen did not mind or think about it any further. It didn't matter anymore to him. What he was feeling now was to meet James soon.
"Okay, let's go now."
The Queen walked first, followed by Jasmine, who walked by her side, and several maids of the two noblewomen, who immediately followed the two of them with the same pace of footsteps.
They walked leisurely and not too fast, but some people had lived with The Queen for a long time. Be aware that The Queen is running faster than usual.
They could imagine how impatient the Queen was as she walked. Even Jasmine had to follow in his footsteps. He understood. After all, the Queen had not seen James for a long time. His enthusiasm was understandable for now.
Several Shadow Guards ordered by the King to watch over the Queen's residence left from where they were standing guard. Some followed The Queen in silence without being noticed by anyone, while others went to visit The King and provide information about what they saw.
The Shadow Keeper didn't take long to arrive at The King's place. In just a few minutes, he had arrived at The King's study with one knee on one knee and a respectful attitude.
The King listened to the report calmly. He had already expected that something like this would happen sooner or later, and he knew the Queen could not be stopped.
"Let The Queen go to Prince James' residence, but keep an eye on him from a distance as usual. Go."
The shadow guard received The King's order without lifting his head, rose to salute, and quickly withdrew.
"It is time for him to return."
