At the hospital, it had been more than an hour since Viana woke up from her long coma. After being examined by the doctor and eating breakfast, Ellie gave her some light snacks and a book to keep her from getting bored.
"Miss Ellie," Viana called out.
"You can just call me Ellie, no need to be polite," Ellie replied casually.
Viana nodded. "I heard the doctor say that I have temporary amnesia. No wonder I don't remember anything about myself. What's my name? Where am I from?"
Faced with that question, Ellie was momentarily confused. "I really don't know anything about Miss’s identity," she answered honestly.
Viana looked at her expression carefully and found no lie in her movements. "Then how did I get here? What happened to me?"
Ellie shook her head no.
"Do you know my family?"
Ellie shook her head again.
Viana frowned. "You really don't know anything about me? Then how did you get here and take care of me?"
Ellie replied, "I'm just an orphaned country girl. At that time, someone came to our village and opened a job opening for a maid. I happened to be very short of money and immediately volunteered. The man chose me, and I was sent here to take care of Miss."
Viana was intrigued. "Who was the person who hired you?"
Ellie replied, "I didn't know him. He didn't tell me anything about his identity and just gave me half of the wages to start working. So I didn't ask any questions and started taking care of Miss."
Viana was even more astonished. "Then that person didn't tell you anything about me?"
Ellie shook her head innocently.
Viana sighed.
Her mind immediately started spinning. What had happened exactly? Who was that person? Why did he hide himself like that?
Her head was filled with a myriad of questions.
As Viana was deep in thought, there was a sudden knock on her bedroom door from outside. Ellie rushed to open the door and saw a rather handsome young man.
That man was Dean. He had come to replace Alen because his commander had other plans.
Meanwhile, Viana didn't know Dean at all, so she just watched the figure at the door.
Ellie also hadn't been told about the man before and spoke up. "Who are you?"
Dean looked at Ellie and smiled faintly. "I am your master."
Ellie was surprised. "Ma-master? You're the one who recruited me?"
Actually, it was an order from Alen. But Alen ordered him not to divulge his identity first. So Dean just nodded.
Ellie lit up slightly and turned to Viana on the bed. "Miss, he's my master. Maybe he's also the one who saved Miss."
Viana also thought it made sense, so she immediately forced her body to sit upright on the bed, bowed her head, and greeted. "Welcome, sir."
Dean immediately shuddered all over his body and approached Viana on the bed. "No-no, I'm not the master you're referring to!"
Viana was stunned.
Dean sucked in a cold breath. This girl was the daughter of Harveina's royal family. Her status was definitely higher than his. How dare he make this girl call him master!
Dean quickly explained again. "I also have a master; he's the one who saved you. I'm just his assistant. My name is Dean."
Viana's eyes widened slightly. "So, it was your master who saved me? Thank goodness!"
Dean smiled.
Ellie placed a chair on Viana's bedside and invited Dean to sit down. "Mr. Dean, please take a seat."
Dean sat down and placed his small luggage on the table near the patient's bed. Then he said it with a friendly and smiling face. "This is a little gift from my master. He hopes that your condition will get better in the future. Now, how are you feeling? Are you feeling better?"
Viana nodded and replied, "I feel better, Mr. Dean."
Dean. "Just call me Dean. You can think of me as a friend. There's no need to be polite with me."
Viana nodded and smiled back. "Alright then, Dean, you must know something about me, right?"
"I know a little," Dean replied. "Your name is Viana. A week ago, you had an accident and were found by my master on the road. That's how you ended up here."
"Viana..." Viana repeated her own name in a low voice. "Do you know my family?"
Dean shook his head.
Viana was like being struck by lightning.
Yes, Dean and his master were passersby who just happened to help her. How did they know who her family was?
"When you found me, did you find my ID or anything like that?" Viana asked again.
"Miss, when we rescued you, you and your entire car fell into a ravine. Just being able to save you was very lucky back then," Dean replied.
Viana gasped. It took her a long time to accept this fact.
Dean scrutinized Viana's entire expression. The look of confusion and sadness was real. The doctor was right, Viana really did have temporary amnesia.
Dean also felt a little sad to see it.
But Alen decided this to protect Viana. Alen covered up the true identity of the girl and from the outside world so that danger would not come near her. No one knew that the daughter of the Harvey family was still alive here.
By forgetting her past temporarily, Viana could also focus on recovering herself. Then, after recovering and regaining her memories, she had the strength to fight back.
Viana's eyes were slightly puffy. "So, I don't know who to turn to?"
Dean shook his head. "For now, you have no place to return to. Maybe once your memory is restored, you'll find your true purpose."
Dean thought, who could Viana go back to? Back to the capital and then to the Harvey family? Dean is afraid that the person who could potentially do this to Viana is someone from the Harvey family.
Judging from the accident and the falsification of the news, the perpetrator has great influence. The Harvey family had that possibility.
Hearing Dean's words, Viana looked down. Ellie, who was listening, also felt sad.
Dean comforted her. "But don't be sad. My master has decided something for you."
Viana raised her head slowly. "What is it?"
"For the time being, you should recuperate well in the hospital. Don't worry, the hospital fees and such are already covered by my master. All you have to do is recover well."
Viana was a little surprised by Dean's words. His master was... very kind.
Viana slightly wiped the water from her eyes. "Dean, who is your master? Why is he so good to me?"
Dean didn't answer right away. He was also a little confused and didn't understand why Alen cared so much about this girl.
But Dean smiled anyway. "Maybe you'll find out after meeting him later."
Viana's eyes lit up a little. "Oh yeah? I can meet him? When will that be?"
After all, this person had saved her life. Viana felt she should thank him sincerely no matter what.
Dean replied, "Of course. But not now. When the time is right, you will definitely meet him."
Viana finally smiled again.
Dean sat in front of her. Seeing this beautiful girl who finally smiled again, he could hardly keep his hand from touching Viana's head.
Even though she was injured now, the number one girl in the capital was still beautiful as ever.
"Well, is there anything else you want to ask? Or do you need anything?" Dean asked considerately.
Viana had just woken up from a coma and hadn't thought about anything other than her identity. So she didn't have many questions yet.
Seeing that the girl was silent, Dean understood. "Then I'll go first. I have other things to do. I'll be back as soon as possible," he said as he got up from the chair. "Remember, you have to recover well. Don't think about anything. Perhaps after this, my master will see you."
Viana nodded. "Very well."

After leaving Viana's room, Dean went to a quiet place outside the hospital. He took out his cell phone and dialed Alen's number. It didn't take long for Alen to pick up the call.
"Commander..."
"How is it?"
"Miss Viana really has amnesia. She doesn't even remember her own name and that of her family. I've already said things about her identity as per your instructions. What do you want to do next?" Dean asked.
Alen was silent for a moment.
Across the phone, Alen was sitting on the couch facing the window. The sunlight gently shone on his handsome face. Hearing Dean's report, his heart involuntarily moved a little.
Viana couldn't stay in the hospital for too long. After the doctor allowed her to go home, Viana had to go somewhere. If Alen didn't help her, the girl would be stranded alone in a wounded state and might meet danger from the enemies who were after her.
Alen sighed softly. Somehow, his heart couldn't bear to leave her at that.
"Find two houses in the countryside close to our branch headquarters and rent them. It doesn't have to be nice, just comfortable to live in," Alen said.
Dean was a little flabbergasted. "Two houses? For whom?"
Alen clicked. "For us and the girl, of course."
Dean was dumbfounded for a moment, thinking he had heard wrong. "Two houses, for us and Miss Viana? Oh, alright. I'll look into it right away."
The call was disconnected.
Alen stood up, walked to the window, and observed the blue sky.
For some reason, his heart felt a little warm this time.
