Ch. 4Chapter 4 โ€“ The Mentally Ill

In this condition, I had a hard time controlling myself. It felt like I wanted to send a message to that person. But do I have to be this aggressive? Ah, fuck! From then on, I was indeed destined to continue to move forward without going backwards!

Nala gave me a piece of paper. Even though I'm not an art student, I can tell that the picture is getting better. Each of his simple sketches, which is only painted with pencil, has a life of its own. Somehow he always felt that his drawings were mediocre. What a silly girl.

I remember telling him that if one day he wanted to be a painter, I would support him. It doesn't matter even though he is now majoring in Indonesia Literature. After all, now there are many people who work outside the field of study that he took when he was in college.

Actually, whatever he wants to do, I will still support him.

"If there is a problem, you can take care of it quickly, Kesh, rather than the atmosphere being unpleasant." It was Bina who spoke, the Ice Monster.

"This time I agree with Bina. Nala is part of our gang. He is also less fun. I am a silent reader in the group."

Luckily, they didn't ask us why we were fighting. I am not used to lying, but I am reluctant to tell them. This is a disgrace, if possible, don't let anyone know. Especially my jealous girlfriend Rachel. It could be more complicated.

Ting! There is an incoming chat. It turned out to be from Nala.

"Sis, that part of my body hurts until now. I was confused about what to do. I want to go to the doctor but I don't know what to do. Fear too. Can you help me? Let's check it together. I'm afraid why."

My brow furrowed. Honestly, a little offended by the last sentence even though it was written as smoothly as possible. What should I do now? I'm one hundred percent sure I'm healthy so I won't cause him to get sick.

But if he was sick for something else, I couldn't ignore him. At least until he comes back fine. But do we have to stay away after that?

Without realizing it, I snorted in annoyance. My right hand scratched the back of my head that didn't itch.

"What's wrong, Kesh? Is there a problem?" Ical asked. His eyebrows furrowed.

"Nothing. You guys just eat together first. I want to find Nala."

"Okay. Do you want to go to the afternoon class? Do you want to leave your signature?" Bina chimed in.

"Yes, just arrange it. It seems like I skipped school."

Finally the message was sent. Frustrated, I threw my phone aside and closed my eyes. I didn't expect much. The message will most likely not be reciprocated. But unfortunately I still hope. Nala is stupid!

Don't forget the first common knowledge that sometimes the things we least expect can be easily achieved. My memory rang. Someone sent me a message: let's meet.

Excited, I jumped up and down on the mattress then woke up and headed for the closet. Ignoring that pain. As always, every time I would meet, I was confused about choosing clothes. Even though it was clear that we were not on a date.

Shortly after, there was a knock on my room door. I rubbed the cologne into my neck to make it fresher. Then walk to open the door. My heart was beating even faster. Happy but also afraid. No, I'm very scared. My hands even trembled when holding the doorknob.

"Let's check with a doctor. I will be responsible until you are fine," he said flatly.

"After that?" I swallowed.

"We can't be rich anymore," he said. It seemed like he wanted to be straightforward from the beginning.

"You mean it's done?"

"If that's the best...," he exhaled a little long.

Unlucky! My tears were dripping down. Don't forget the second common knowledge that expectations can kill you slowly. Expectations that are not in line with expectations will only cause problems.

"The result was negative for HIV. You guys are fine," said an internal medicine specialist.

Should I be relieved like Akesh? He may feel that he has no responsibility after this.

"In the future, please use safety guards. No, it's best not to do it with someone other than a partner."

My heart was wry. It feels like a wet catch.

"Thank you Doc, then we will excuse you now," said Kak Akesh after receiving our two medical papers.

Kak Akesh turned to me, giving me a code to get out of this doctor's room. I also followed this man wearing a black leather jacket. But I slowed down my steps, widening our distance.

"You can go back by yourself, right? I want to pick Rachel up now."

I didn't answer. Just staring at him. I saw him snorting harshly and shaking his head. Then he stepped quickly until his figure was not visible. It is unusual for him to leave me like this.

Reluctant to go home, I sat on the terrace of the hospital. Staring at passers-by in and out of the building. The air here is fresher than inside, although it still smells of medicine.

Soon, my eyes caught a figure that seemed familiar. Is that Marvin? He was taking care of a grandfather. As they walked, a bracelet fell. I got up from my seat and picked it up. But when he was about to call his master, the two figures disappeared.

I didn't want to go into the hospital again because it reminded me of what happened just now. Therefore, I chose to keep this thing temporarily. A wooden bead bracelet with the letter M. Vaguely my nose smelled the scent of sandalwood.

Judging from the strap, this thing has been used for many years. However, the condition is still strong. I also put this "M bracelet" in my jacket pocket. Then go to the gate because the online motorcycle taxi I ordered has arrived. Previously, I came here on a motorbike ride with Kak Akesh.
