Ch. 4Promise

"Where is Cassa!" Panic arose in the king's heart. Richard searched for a saviour who could help him win. But Cassa did not appear at all.
"That damn ethereal creature will not appear, Your Majesty." Jhon whispered, and he attacked left and right, trying to win the battle but the number of enemies was too great. They could not simply block their enemies without the magical assistance of Cassa the vampire.
"Then we are on our own!" The returning king drew his sword, and rifles then came into play in the battle. Cannons exploded and took many lives. Jhon was seen running towards the troops and leading them to victory.
Jhon Melbourne was the best at battle tactics, he might be the prime minister but the king often called him into battle, that was why the king was so fond of Melbourne as if Melbourn was the second option if Cassa the vampire did not appear.
"Your Majesty!" Melbourne shouted, "We are going to victory!" Then Melbourne's guns brought down the remaining enemy troops. They defeated the enemy by using hundreds of cannons as well as thousands of rifles to defeat an army that was only fighting to defend their territory.
And the king said, "Arrest all wounded, and surviving enemies," the king said which was then implemented by the prime minister.
In the end they won the battle without the vampire's help and at that point Cassa was no longer used which made Cassa feel unhappy.
Upon returning to the kingdom, the king Richard VII told Cassa to come, and asked what had happened to him. Cassa replied that there was something that needed to be done by him.
But the king did not accept any reason to be heard, which made Cassa to be locked up in a magical cage that could bring any magical creature to its knees and could not do anything.
The magic vampire was left scarred, and lived in anger for many years, until finally escaping and finding Albert, all of which was then told to Albert by Cassa who was now at Albert's side after Albert called him.
"Well... I don't care what happens to that bastard king!" Cassa stood up shaking his cloak, looked out the window, and allowed the sun to burn half of his face. "If you know Albert, I long for the sun to touch my skin without burning it."
Compassion arose in Albert's heart for Cassa.
"But what do you want from me?"
The question made the man in the cloak look back and turn to face Albert, then he said, "I want you to help me to enjoy the sun again Albert."
Albert frowned, but he didn't want to ask any more questions about Cassa's wish which made Albert just ask, "How can I help you?"
"Albert, I have received a curse from the king, that I cannot go near the palace or the kingdom even just a few metres because I will burn if I do," explained Cassa, once again Albert frowned.
"What do you mean?" Albert asked once again.
"The queen is pregnant. And I need that royal princess when she reaches fifteen, I need you Albert," Cassa explained further confusing Albert. And yes Albert certainly asked again and again, until Cassa explained everything. That he needed the heart of the royal princess to help him. But Albert was forbidden to ask more questions. And for, Albert will get the revenge he wants.
"But how can I enter the palace when people already know that I am gone?"
"That is why I ordered to eliminate Jhon first."
"Then?"
"I'll help you, you'll know what you're going to do after finishing him off."
***
"You don't have any more vampires to help you, do you Your Majesty?" Now Jhon stood before the king.
"What do you mean by saying that to me? I've calmed this battle down without that magic vampire!" Richard felt offended by what Jhon said. They were currently on their way home after gaining victory, but shortly after that something happened.
One of the soldiers shouted, "Bandits!"
The sound of rifles began to be heard everywhere.
"Protect the king!" One of their captains shouted. Richard VII's chariot was heavily protected, Melbourn who was with the king got out of the chariot and attacked, but soon after, Melbourn returned and said to the coachman, "Take us to a safe place, avoid all this!"
The coachman quickly received the order and the chariot moved away from the bandits. Now it was just Richard, Melbourn and the coachman.
"Thank you Jhon, but we cannot leave our troops with the bandits."
Jhon did not answer, he got out of the carriage and said, "I will check if there are no enemies approaching."
It only took a few moments, and made blood splatter everywhere, Melbourne's sword, he drew at the coachman who was now down on the grass.
"What happened?" Richard got out of the carriage. "You ...."
Of course Richard was flabbergasted to see that Jhon Melbourne, the prime minister he trusted the most had killed the coachman and Melbourne stared intently at Richard.
"Your Honour."
"What did you do?" asked a gaping Richard.
"I only did what I had to do your honour." Melbourne walked forward with his sword still drawn, of course Richard quickly drew his sword to block Melbourne who was about to attack him.
"Have you gone mad!" Richard began to panic, Melbourne was a skilled sword user, even the king could not beat Melbourne's skills.
"I went mad when I fell in love with your wife, Your Majesty."
"My wife?"
"Yes, the baby in your wife's womb is mine."
The king was shocked, and Melbourne took advantage of Richard's moment of silence, so he stabbed Richard in the stomach and the king's body fell.
Which made Richard VII lose his life at the hands of the prime minister who was infatuated with the queen.
As Melbourne knelt and grieved beside the king, he looked back after some troops finally found them.
"My Lord, what happened?" asked the captain of the troops standing behind Melbourne.
"The coachman was part of the bandits, he managed to finish off the king, before I managed to find them."
A lie that managed to trick the palace troops. They all knelt beside the king who lost his life until the news finally reached the kingdom.
