For days, after Albert had fallen in the fire of the prime minister's trap, he now had no one, only he lying stiff with blood now congealed, and a cold pale face in sight. Albert Scovict's eyelids suddenly opened and widened perfectly. His blue eyeballs turned into terrifying red eyeballs.
The bats that had been hanging around since noon now flew over Albert's still stiff body, fangs could be seen between his teeth and the body quickly rose to its feet.
Albert's shirt was unchanged with the same colour and a fitter-looking body. The originally stern face now looked pale and ghastly with red lips that no longer blushed and a faintly sharp gaze.
"What is all this?" Albert asked, and there was no answer at all. He tried to recall the events before this. But he was still having trouble.
"Albert Scovict." The voice came from behind Albert, with a black robe and an even paler face. Albert of course immediately turned his head but only a shadow he perceived, he did not see anyone until the shadow appeared in front of him.
"Who are you?" Albert asked with slightly gaping lips.
"You look fresher than ever," the man with the sharp voice said.
"What do you mean?"
"Don't you remember what happened to you earlier?"
The question made Albert furrow his brow. Confused and still wondering.
"Don't make me think, my head feels tired." He immediately sat down on a chair that was there.
"Yes, the side effect of becoming a vampire for the first time is like that."
"What?" Albert quickly got up from his seat, shocked beyond belief. "Wait, how... Vampire?"
"Albert, oh poor Albert. You should know that I have saved you from the fire that would have burned you."
And upon hearing the word fire, Albert's head ached and he remembered everything now. The prime minister, and the bodyguard who was with him. Then an incredibly brilliant idea was told to the prime minister who said that their meeting was secret, only he and the king knew.
But that was just the prime minister's idea. In addition, to pave the way for Albert's death, he accused Albert of investigating something that Albert did not even know about.
That was basically not true at all. The king did not know about Albert who had disappeared and tomorrow the king would be travelling again to the territory they were going to conquer.
Of course Albert felt strange about what happened to him. He thought that he could not have escaped the fire.
"I'm not sure that this is real." Albert complained, looking down at his pale palms.
"This is real Albert. You and I are the same thing." This man still stood before Albert.
"Hmm... But this is impossible."
A faint smile appeared on this man's lips, he then walked towards the window facing the burning building.
"You know too much Albert. It's your fault," he said. "That's why ...."
"Who are you?" asked Albert, cutting him off. The man then turned his head back and looked at Albert.
"Me? Cassa. You can call me Cassa. I am the reason how Richard was able to defeat his enemy, I have shown Richard to victory," explained the man who introduced himself as Cassa.
Albert's eyes lit up but was not convinced by what Cassa, the man with fangs between his teeth, was saying.
"No way," Albert said, "I can't be a vampire now." Albert shook his head evasively. His saliva was swallowed several times by him.
The smile on Cassa's lips was obvious, "You know many of the kingdom's secrets, Albert. And I have a task for you."
The voice was elegant, explaining things but Albert still did not understand any of it.
"I don't know anything, sir. Please let me go, or why don't you just let me die." Albert showed sadness on his face which made Cassa feel annoyed. Cassa in an instant, without taking any steps at all he arrived in front of Albert and his hand was strangling Albert's neck with a sharp look at Albert.
"Don't show me that miserable face. You are the cruel figure of the future. And within you... Is there no grudge?" Cassa seemed to affect Albert and Albert realised what the red-eyed man meant.
"I... Yes I think I have a grudge." Hearing what Albert said made Cassa loosen his hand, then smiled wryly thinking that Albert would burn with vengeance but in fact Albert was not the person Cassa thought he was.
"Good then, that will make it easier for me...."
"But I don't intend to avenge anything, sir. I just want to go back home."
Albert walked backwards and his feet were now in the doorway, Cassa nodded in understanding then said, "You can't appear among the living. Aren't you already dead?"
Realising that Albert was silent, and undid his intention of opening the door, Albert thought for a while but this man chose to just leave there. Leaving Cassa and exiting the building that turned out to be morning, and the sun appeared.
When Albert's skin was touched by the sun, it seemed as if the pale skin would immediately burn until Albert had to cover all parts of his skin with cloth, except for the hair with eyes to walk without being touched by the sun.
With Albert thus unrecognisable, this man walked towards the house where he lived alone but on the way he heard something that invited his reaction.
"Don't you hear?" The voice of a woman who squealed and walked straight towards a group of other women, "The king is gone!"
Albert slowly turned his head towards the group.
"How come?" Albert asked himself then he remembered about Jhon who was in the queen's room, planning something.
Albert walked swiftly towards the palace and from a distance he observed the sadness within the kingdom.
His hearing was even better than before, he heard some servants say, "The queen is pregnant."
Albert's eyes widened completely at the news. He swallowed his saliva and the chariot appeared, then the royal people came one by one to the royal courtyard, mourning the death of their king.
The carriage stopped right in the hallway leading to the palace, out came a person with a crown in his hand. Yes, it was Jhon who made Albert flinch. Jhon did not accept this, he knew that the king must have been killed by him and he would take over the kingdom. This cannot be allowed, the kingdom will be destroyed if it is led by a man like Jhon.
Albert quickly turned around, he was in the crowd now and tried to get out of there. He went back to the old building where he met Cassa. He went inside there, into the building, he was inside the building but found no one.
"Cassa!" Albert's voice grew louder, "Please show up, I'm calling you!" But there was absolutely no answer, "If you show up, then I'll do what you want!"
