Ch. 2Secret

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Albert Scovict bowed his head after speaking with the king. And he was about to leave Richard's room.
Before he opened the door, the king called him back.
"Oh I forgot something," Richard said as Albert turned to face the king. "I want you to call me my prime minister, immediately."
Albert looked confused, how not, he didn't know where the king's room was, for fear of asking again, he chose to nod and just go from there. Looking for where the prime minister's room was. And that's why Albert chose to ask.
"Well I haven't memorised every location of this palace, so I'm asking you," said Albert who looked quite hurried.
"Hmm... You walk into this hallway." Pointing south, "Then turn to the left, the third room you find after the turn is the prime minister's room." The guard didn't even smile.
"Alright, thank you."
Albert walked slowly towards the room shown to him, he finally found the room he was looking for, with the door closed Albert knocked but there was no answer at all, then the door opened by itself. Albert went in there and looked around for the prime minister. Not finding him he chose to go out of there, but on the way out Albert found something, a secret door.
Albert grabbed the door handle, with his hand grasping the door hinges, and pulled gently. He went inside and walked down a long, slightly dark and dusty hallway.
Nevertheless Albert kept walking in there and he found a voice, "I can't wait when you get rid of him," said a woman. Albert pressed his ear against the wall and still listened.
"Take it easy, dear. In the next battle he will not survive," said someone, Albert knew this voice. The voice of the prime minister, there was no mistaking it. Albert was getting curious.
"Hmm... Yes I hope so."
Albert was still listening and the voice of the woman who spoke earlier now turned into a moan and also a sigh that Albert knew very well what that voice was.
The prime minister, no way. Albert thought that the prime minister was related to the queen, and they wanted to get rid of the king in the next battle.
Albert swallowed his saliva and his fingertips trembled as he realised everything that was happening. This was terrible.
Albert had to get out of there immediately. But because Albert was lost in his thoughts. He didn't realise that the prime minister, Jhon, was getting ready to leave. The secret door opened and Jhon walked into the long hallway.
Albert, moving swiftly and trying not to make a sound, was now in the centre of the hallway. However, Albert still left footprints amongst the dust which made Jhon feel suspicious.
"Who's there?" Jhon's voice echoed in the hallway and he chased after Albert who was now sweating coldly. Albert finally found the door to the prime minister's room. He finally managed to get out of there.
He stood in front of the door to Jhon's room after he got out and pretended that he was calling the prime minister.
Albert knocked on the door and a voice came from inside, "Yes?"
"I am Albert Scovict, My Lord."
Shortly after the door opened, Jhon stood in the doorway with an unusually charismatic face, at thirty-seven years old, he seemed quite handsome. Maybe that's why the queen fell in love with him.
"Why?"
"His Majesty the King calls you, My Lord."
Albert's head bowed, after he got the secret from the prime minister, of course he felt threatened.
"Oh, well thank you for telling me."
Jhon's gaze fell on the torn cloth on the wrist of Albert's shirt which was exactly the same as the cloth he had found in the hallway. While Albert chose to just walk away from there.
He was in a hurry, getting out of the palace and hoping not to get into trouble because he already knew everything. He certainly wouldn't dare open his mouth about this, but unfortunately the prime minister was already suspicious of Albert.
Jhon Melbourne appeared to open the door to the king's room and on the table was a map, presumably of the territory they would be travelling through.
The territory was soon to be conquered by the Lacivian kingdom that had occupied many large territories, but that was not enough for the king, Richard VII wanted something more. He didn't want to just conquer but build an industry for the conquered territory and also for the Lacivian kingdom to become the perfect superpower.
"I had a discussion with Albert, what he told me was brilliant," said the king, "What do you think of him?" asked Richard to Jhon who stood before the table.
"As you say, Your Majesty. He is a brilliant figure," replied Jhon which made Richard smile wryly.
"Hmm... I see. Well we should talk about our journey tomorrow."
So at that moment Jhon explained about the battle they were going to have, Jhon himself was a good speaker, he could give someone a great persuasion.
"In just one day of travelling, we can arrive at our strategic spot. And in just a few hours we can complete this mission victoriously, Your Majesty."
Jhon's battle tactics were great, so great that Jhon was able to fool the king, where he did not know that Jhon had planned something rotten for the king.
"It's amazing, it's amazing. Then you just think about it. I want to see my queen, you know that she has been waiting for so long." Richard stood up from his seat and allowed Jhon to leave, but Richard turned back to Jhon and said, "I was told today, that Alexa is pregnant. Ah so long I've been waiting for my heir, finally." Which of course made Jhon flinch. Suddenly he gaped thinly thinking that the baby conceived by the queen was his baby, but who knows.
Because of that news, Jhon felt that the mission to get rid of the king made him even more eager to realise that mission. In addition, he came into his room and called his men, it could be assumed that his men who came to him, were his right-hand men all along.
He walked in, with a dark black hat and a stern face, he asked the prime minister, "You called me my lord?"
"Come to Albert Scovict, tell him to meet me secretly, in the old building at the corner of the city street."
