After 20 minutes of waiting, a waiter came up to Laura with some bags in his hands. "Miss, this is the order."
Laura accepted the bags and smiled at the waitress and thanked her. She stood up and walked out of there looking tired. She had tried to look fresh. But tired is still tired.
At the door, Laura froze when she saw the couple who entered there intimately. Her tears fell again when she saw the intimacy. The couple accidentally saw Laura. They immediately approached Laura and were immediately avoided by the woman.
"Laura!" Gabriel shouted trying to stop Laura from leaving.
Laura didn't turn around at all, she didn't want to see them for now. She needed time, she needed time to accept everything that had happened.
Samuel held back Gabriel's hand that wanted to chase Laura and shook his head softly. "She needs time, trust me." He said softly.
Gabriel hugged Samuel tightly and held back his tears. "I'm worried what's wrong with her Samuel! I'm afraid of a relapse of his illness! I'm afraid of Sam! I think of him as my own brother."
Samuel's hands caught both of Gabriel's faces, he looked at him closely. "Trust me dear, she won't be a problem. She's a strong woman. Okay?" Gabriel nodded slowly and hugged Samuel tightly again.
At the same time, Laura had entered Justin's company again with tears in her eyes. All the way, she held the tightness in her chest. Laura opened the door to the fire escape and went in quickly. She sat behind the door crying. Until her mind dawned on her, she couldn't go on like this, she had to stand up and be strong to face all those who had betrayed her and broken her heart.
Laura wiped her tears and stood up. She climbed the stairs with her remaining strength. Not wanting to be exhausted, Laura climbed them slowly. It took her quite a while to reach the 35th floor. Before entering Justin's room, she straightened her clothes and hair first. She didn't want Justin to ask her too many questions later.
He knocked lightly on the door and went inside. "Here's your order. Anything else you need?"
"No, no, no. You should rest. I know you must be tired and you must have cried recently."
"No." Laura said flatly.
Justin looked at Laura flatly. "You're lying."
"What business is it of yours." Laura hissed.
"I've already said that I don't want my servants working with no-"
"I also said that you have nothing to worry about." Laura interrupted.
Justin still ignored Laura's words. "Laura!"
"What's wrong with you? I'm already tired of going up and down 34 floors twice because of you! So now you can't force me to talk!" Laura shouted.
Justin was speechless at Laura's words. That woman really didn't use the elevator. Well, at least why didn't she use the escalator? Or maybe she didn't know there was an escalator? God, Justin felt stupid now. It was like he was torturing a woman.
He unceremoniously lifted her up which made her squeal. "You're so stupid! You didn't use the escalator?"
Not to be outdone Laura said, "You think I know there's an escalator here?"
Justin relented, he had guessed that Laura wouldn't know there was an escalator here. Justin set Laura down on the sofa. He took off her shoes slowly and massaged her feet. Meanwhile, Laura looked at him in disbelief. When Justin looked up, their gazes met. Laura immediately turned her gaze in the other direction.
"You'd better go back to the mansion. I'll -"
"No need! I'm fine." She snapped.
"Suit yourself!" Justin retorted and stood up to leave Laura. Before that, he turned to look at Laura. "I'm going to have a meeting and it might take a while. So if you want to eat, just eat."
She nodded slowly and closed her eyes for a moment after Justin left the room. She wasn't hungry, but she felt very tired. Laura decided to rest. She closed her eyes slowly until she finally fell asleep.
....
Justin returned to his room late in the afternoon. He was used to this. When he saw Laura asleep on her couch Justin went straight to her.Staring at the still intact food on the table made him think that Laura must not have eaten at all.
"Hey wake up! Waiter get up, it's already time!" Justin called out.
Laura just wriggled out of her sleep.
"Don't pretend to be asleep! Wake up!"
There was no answer, so Justin carried her out of the room to the elevator. Laura didn't even wake up at all, she was sleeping so soundly. When the elevator doors opened, Justin headed to the parking lot for his car, ignoring the stares from the employees. He laid Laura down in the driver's seat. Then he stepped on the gas and drove to his mansion.
On the way, Laura woke up and looked around. She looked to her left and found Justin who was focused on driving. "Did you finish the meeting?"
"If not, why am I here?" Justin replied coldly.
Laura nodded slowly and turned her gaze to the road. Suddenly she remembered something. Laura looked at Justin with some hesitation. She wanted to ask a question but she was hesitant.
"What are you thinking about?" Justin asked without looking at Laura.
"Umm... Can I take a little vacation tomorrow? I have to go somewhere."
"Where?"
"I can't say."
"No."
Laura nodded in understanding and looked back at the road. She sighed softly and closed her eyes briefly. She had to find the medicine, whether it was still there or not. If it was still there then Laura was grateful, but if it was gone then she had to find a way to get Justin to let her go to the hospital without him knowing.
.....
It's been a month since Laura lived with Justin, and he's been a real pain in the ass. Just imagine if you were Laura, every day you'd have to put his tie on because you forgot how to do it. For Laura, living with him is like hell. She was always told to do this and that when she could have done it herself. Like when Justin was working, Laura was told to pick up the pen that was right next to him.
