"This is my mansion, and that means everything in it too. Why are you kicking me out? I own it." Justin said equally flatly.
Laura was stunned by Justin's words. True, this wasn't his mansion. But why did he seem to be in charge here? Laura really felt rude and felt like an authority figure. She stood up and put her novel on the table and looked down in front of Justin.
"Hmm... I apologize for my behavior just now Justin. Then you'll have to excuse me."
After saying that Laura left. She went back to her room and laid down on the bed. Laura realized that she hadn't opened her phone in a long time. She picked up her phone and opened it. Many notifications came in from Gabriel and Samuel. To be precise, Gabriel had the most notifications. In fact, they both called her many times.
Laura had no intention of opening their messages. Instead, she turned off her phone and closed her eyes. Her tears fell again, her heart felt very painful because she was betrayed. Moreover, she was betrayed by the two people she loved the most in this world. Laura only had them, but they betrayed her like that.
"I hate you," Laura said quietly with tears falling.
"Who do you hate?"
Laura quickly wiped away her tears at the sound of a voice. She turned around and widened her eyes to see Justin by the door leaning against the wall.
"How did you get in?!" Laura shrieked.
Justin just put on his innocent face. "This is my mansion, I can come in anywhere." He replied lightly.
It looked like she was going to be tortured for two years. Living with that man made her high blood pressure rise every day.
Laura looked at Justin sarcastically. "Suit yourself. I'm not kicking you out but I want to sleep."
Justin rushed over to Laura who was already sitting on the bed. "You haven't answered my question."
"Which question?" Laura asked patiently.
"Who do you hate?" Justin repeated his question.
Laura's face immediately changed drastically. From her upset face to a very flat face. But underneath it all, she was in deep pain.
"None of your business." Laura said.
Justin ignored Laura's sarcasm. "I ask you again who do you hate?"
"You! I hate you. Satisfied?"
Justin raised one eyebrow. "Really? I heard it with your words."
Laura took a breath and let it out. She really had to be extra patient with a guy like Justin. The first time she accidentally bumped into him, she thought Justin was a horrible man. It turned out that he wasn't so much horrible as annoying!
"You have to tell me Laura." Justin said, getting serious.
"It's none of your business." Laura replied curtly.
Justin sighed. He actually knew who Laura hated. In a day he was able to gather a lot of information about her. Unfortunately, Justin didn't know that not all of Laura's secrets were known to him.
"Are you going to tell me now or am I going to find out?"
Laura's eyes turned sharp. "What do you want and what do you know?!"
Justin just put on a casual expression. "I just want to know the origin of my personal maid. As well as the problems she's facing. So that when you work you can take it seriously."
Laura stood in front of him, "You can rest assured that I will take my work seriously. You don't have to worry about me anymore."
"Who's worrying about you? You're so confident."
Laura immediately realized what she had said. She felt very embarrassed and her cheeks must be red right now. She shouldn't have uttered such words. She couldn't say anything else now.
They were silent for a long time with an awkward atmosphere until Justin finally broke the silence between them. "Tomorrow you're coming with me."
"Where?"
"To my office and remember at 6:00 am you have to be ready."
Laura nodded slowly. Then Justin walked out of there, allowing Laura to breathe freely. She held her heart which was beating very fast when she was close to him. God, Laura was so nervous around Justin.
....
The next morning, as per Justin's orders last night, Laura was ready and dressed at 6:00 am. She only wore dark blue jeans with a white t-shirt. She left her brown hair untied.
Laura went downstairs to the dining room where Justin was waiting for her. She looked at the man in the suit who was having breakfast there. Laura walked over to Justin and sat down in front of him.
"Good morning." Laura greeted him.
"Hmm..." Justin said briefly.
He took a piece of bread in his hand and spread it with blueberry jam. He ate it slowly.
Laura felt mischievous when Justin kept looking at her while eating.
"You're not going to offer me?"
Laura rolled her eyes, "do you want to?"
"No."
Gosh, Laura was getting really annoyed now. "Then why would you ask me to offer you?"She was annoyed.
"I just want to be offered, after all, I just want to feel offered, not that I'm asking for it."
"Whatever you want!"
"Of course it's up to me. Because I'm his employer." For some reason Justin liked it when she was upset. Maybe making her upset would become his new hobby.
"Of course you're the master or do you want us to switch positions? Come on I'm happy to accept." Laura hissed.
Justin chuckled at the hiss that came out of her mouth. "If swapping positions means I become your subordinate, that's quite interesting. As long as you can take good care of my company."
"But too bad you can't take care of the company well." Justin teased with the rest of his words.
"I really can't. So if you want to ruin your company, just give it to me and don't blame me." Laura joked.
Laura didn't feel offended at all by Justin's teasing. She couldn't manage a company, so why should she take offense?
Justin sighed. "Have you finished eating?"
Laura nodded slowly.
"Then let's go now."
