Laura knew Justin was speaking his planetary language again. She didn't understand and chose to remain silent. Laura released his embrace. Their eyes met, Justin rubbed Laura's eyes gently.

"Let's start the show now." Justin said quietly. Then suddenly all the lights went out leaving only the lights around the stage and there came some people with a cake. Not only that, William, Ethan, Sarah, and Lidya also followed behind.

They started the event with a bang until the end where Laura was told to blow out the candles. She blew out the candles on the count of three along with Justin because Ethan, and others told Justin to blow out the candles. And all the guests knew that it wasn't just Laura blowing out the candles because each of them had a mic near their mouths. So did Justin and Laura who had just had their flavors installed.

Everyone clapped when they blew out the candles. After blowing out the candles, it was time to cut the cake. And this time, Justin was going to cut it too. But he refused.

"Never mind, you just cut it." persuaded Ethan.

Lidya advanced towards the guests. "How about Justin cuts with Laura, do you agree?" she asked.

There was an uproar from the guests. Some agreed, some disagreed because they were not willing.

William put his arm around Justin's shoulders and Sarah put her arm around Laura's shoulders, she handed Laura the knife and told her to hold it. They took each of Justin and Laura's hands and brought them together.

"Why do I feel like I'm at a wedding?" Ethan teased, not caring if everyone heard him. Because of his words, everyone became boisterous and many cheered to help Ethan tease them. Laura hung her head in shame. Meanwhile, Justin smiled and accepted what they all said to tease him and Laura.

In one fell swoop, the sound of applause returned. Sarah took charge of the hubbub by making it quiet again. "Now, Laura has to feed Justin."

Justin frowned, honestly this wasn't in his plans. The cake on the stage was the plan but not the candlelight vigil and cake cutting that included him. He had no idea what his friends were planning.

Justin's hand closed on the mic and then approached Ethan. "What are you guys planning exactly?" he whispered softly.

Ethan also closed the mic and smiled. "Just go along, it's our plan, so let's just say you're in for a surprise.

"Don't be like that!" warned Justin.

"Of course man."

Laura didn't know what to do, she just went along with everything they said even though she had to endure the embarrassment. Especially feeding Justin? God, she must be so embarrassed. Laura approached Justin with a plate that already had pieces of cake on it. She and Justin faced each other. When she wanted to feed him, she hesitated because she was embarrassed.

"Feed!" Lidya cheered.

"Come on, no need to be shy!" William added.

Gosh, what are they planning for me? Laura thought.

She moved her hand and fed Justin, who was immediately welcomed by the man.

After that, there was the usual clapping again. Then suddenly a song came on that made the ball room mellow.

"Dance?" Justin asked and held out his hand. Laura glanced around as if he was forcing her to accept. Laura accepted and they walked off the stage together.

Laura looked down in embarrassment as she danced with Justin. This was her second dance with him and this time it was on her own birthday.

"You must be embarrassed, right?"

They had removed the mics so they could talk freely.

"You think?" replied Laura, looking up.

"Yeah." Justin laughed softly. "But, I didn't know this would happen either."

"You're lying, you must know that you organized this surprise."

Justin shook his face slowly. "I did make the surprise. But I didn't take part in the blowing, cutting and all that. It was all their doing."

Laura nodded in understanding. Then there was silence between them again. The only sounds were people talking and the music playing beautifully. Suddenly the music stopped and a voice came from the stage. Justin and Laura looked at the stage where Justin's two best friends and their partners were already there.

"So, we as mc are suddenly here." Ethan said with a soft laugh.

Lidya nodded in agreement. "That's absolutely right! So we're going to ask a question! And the one who can answer it..."

"Will get a prize." William continued.

"That is... A photo with Mr. Watson and Ms. Anderson or our best friends Justin and Laura!" said Sarah.

Everyone was busy whispering. Ethan tried to calm everyone down. "This sounds like teenage or child's play but..."

"We never grew up to have fun, did we?" William said wisely.

Sarah advanced towards the end of the stage. "Alright, we have a lot of questions here, but there's a bonus. Those who can answer the first question not only get to take a picture with them but..."

"The guys will have the chance to have dinner with Laura and the girls will have dinner with Justin."

From downstage, there was definitely someone who disagreed. Who else but Justin. He wouldn't let hers go out with anyone else. Never and never!

Justin pulled Laura's arm and walked towards the stage. They set up the mic first because Ethan said 'If you want to go up you have to set up the mic first'. After that, Justin went up with Laura.

"I disagree!" he said immediately.

"Now for all of you to enjoy the show and for those who want to congratulate the birthday person, please do so." said Sarah and smiled at everyone. They all went downstairs leaving Justin and Laura still confused on the stage. Suddenly, some guests came on stage and greeted Laura.

Laura returned all the handshakes and smiled slightly. When no one approached them, Justin and Laura took off the mic and gave it to the attendant. Then they sat on the chairs provided on the stage.

"Justin!"

Justin turned to his side. A middle-aged woman with a middle-aged man beside her was approaching him with a big smile. "Lina, Lucas."

The man stood up and hugged Lina and Lucas in turn. Laura, meanwhile, just smiled at the sight.

"Ah, you must be Laura. I'm Ethan's mom, Elina Wellington and this is my husband Lucas Leonardo." Lina extended her hand to Laura.

Laura took it with a smile and then also introduced herself to Lina's husband. "Nice to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Leonardo." she said politely.

"You must be Justin's girlfriend and it's his birthday. You're so beautiful! Happy birthday." Lina praised and hugged Laura.

Lina nodded. "Yes, you made it look like a wedding."

Justin laughed softly. "You should ask your son and the others, they organized it. I don't know anything. They're just impromptu mcs."

"Really? Looks like they want you to get married quickly." Lina teased while glancing at Laura who was already blushing.

"And it looks like you're going back on your word not to marry Justin." Lucas laughed.

"Really?" Justin laughed too.

"Then we'll leave you two alone, and happy birthday Laura." Lucas said. They hugged for a moment and then left the stage.

Laura and Justin sat back down. Laura's face was already red with embarrassment and Justin knew it. He looked like he wanted to prank and tease Laura.

"Ra, you know what? I don't think it's a problem if I marry you right now. This is like a wedding too."

Laura rounded her eyes and hit Justin's arm as hard as she could. "In your dream!"
"Gosh, you're so fierce. You change so easily too. You were so shy before and now you're so fierce."

Laura's eyeballs rolled in annoyance. "Whatever!"

"Alright, alright I'm just kidding." Justin laughed and kissed Laura gently on the forehead. "Happy birthday Ra."

Laura smiled. "I don't know how many times you've said it, but thanks again Justin. What an unexpected surprise for me."

Justin laughed to himself. Laura was so changeable in a second. It was funny, she had gone from shy, to fierce, to very calm.
