06.00 AM
Justin is over with his suit clinging to his body. He would be attending an important meeting at his company in a few hours. Justin walked from his room to the next room. Where Laura was sleeping.
At the door, Justin opened it without knocking. He frowned as there was no sign of Laura there. Justin groaned angrily at the thought that she had run away. He grabbed his cell phone and called someone.
The first call came in.
BYUR!
Justin who heard the voice immediately turned off his cell phone and headed to the source of the sound. He was surprised to see many servants surrounding his pool. Justin was confused, he didn't see anything in the pool. Moreover, the pool was very deep, not just 2 meters, it was even deeper than that.
"Sir... Sir..." Called one of the waiters.
Justin turned around and looked at him. "What happened?"
"Miss Laura, drowned."
Hearing that, Justin immediately cursed his own stupidity. He stood there for 10 minutes without realizing the situation. What would happen to that woman? Justin took off his jacket and jumped inside. He looked around for Laura in there. After finding her, Justin brought her to the surface.
The waiters went straight to their respective tasks. Some took the towels, some took the water, and each of them did their job. They already knew what they had to do.
Justin laid Laura down beside the pool. He received two towels from a waiter and used one for his body and the other for Laura.
"Laura... Lau... Wake up." Justin patted Laura's cheeks repeatedly and gently to get her to wake up.
There was no reaction, so Justin pressed lightly on her chest. Not long after, Laura spurted a lot of pool water out of her mouth. Justin immediately helped her up and gave her some water brought by the waiter.
"Are you okay? Justin asked.
Laura felt very weak. She shook her head slightly and closed her eyes.
Justin picked her up and carried her to Justin's room. He let her change her clothes first with the help of the maid. After changing her clothes, Justin laid her down on the bed.
"You rest." Justin said to Laura.
Laura smiled slightly. "Thank you." She said sincerely.
As if Laura's smile was magic, Justin felt hypnotized by it. He nodded slowly and stroked Laura's hair, which was still a little wet because it had been dried earlier.
Just as Justin was about to leave, Laura held his hand, stopping him. "Where are you going?"
"I have a meeting, I better get ready." Justin replied in a flat tone.
Laura nodded slowly and let go of his hand. She cursed herself for losing her balance when she woke up earlier. So she got into the pool, plus she couldn't swim. She felt very scared when she saw that the pool was very deep. But Laura felt very grateful that her illness didn't recur.
What a bad luck she had. Now Laura didn't want to think about it anymore, so she decided to just sleep because her head was also dizzy.
......
It was evening, Justin had returned from work and Laura was feeling better. Laura was in the library with some novels. Her favorite thing to do was to read novels. It was like they were her world.
Justin approached Laura in the library. He found out when he asked one of the waiters. He looked at Laura from a distance with a faint smile. For some reason seeing her always made him smile.
"Laura."
Laura raised her head and turned to Justin. "What's wrong?"
"I've made the appointment letter."
Those words managed to put Laura out of her mood. She'd forgotten about the agreement. And now he was innocently reminding her and making her mood disappear.
"You can read it first."
Laura took the letter and read it. She didn't read the top part because it was just names and stuff. She read straight to the numbers of the rules. Laura was the second party while Justin was the first party.
1. The first party and the second party have no right to interfere in each other's affairs.
2. The second party must always be available when the first party needs them.
3. The first party must always fulfill the needs of the second party.
4. The second party must not refuse any request of the first party.
5. The first party is allowed to manage the second party.
6. The second party must always comply with all requests of the first party.
"I disagree!"
Laura immediately tore up the paper. She disagreed with numbers 4, 5 and 6. What kind of rules were they? No, no, especially number 5. She would never want her life to be regulated.
"Justin, I'd prefer if this agreement was less formal. I will fulfill my debt to you by becoming your personal servant for 2 years. But there's no need to use rules or agreements like that. I'd rather be free than bound by that agreement."
Justin raised one eyebrow. "You prefer it that way but what if you run away?"
"I promise I won't run away." Laura replied not to be outdone.
Justin moved closer to Laura. "But I still want you to obey all my orders. Do I need to remind you? You're my personal servant so you must obey all my orders."
Those words managed to pierce Laura's heart. Indeed, she was only Justin's personal servant. Did that mean she had to obey his every command? Laura closed her eyes briefly and then opened them. "Well, I'll do anything you ask as long as it's not something outlandish."
Justin made a thoughtless gesture, "hmm... We'll see."
Laura let out a rough breath and walked away from Justin and sat down on the sofa. She picked up the novel she had been reading on the table and continued reading.
"If you're just going to stand there, you better get out. You're disturbing my peace." Laura said flatly.
