As the man took off his glasses, Laura gaped in surprise at the man in front of her right now.
"You're so stupid! Why did you just stand there as they ran towards you?"
Laura blinked her eyes then looked at the other person sharply. "Why would I run from them? And what are you doing here Justin?"
Justin chuckled. "They're reporters posing as regular mall visitors. Why can't you be a little smart? What an idiot! What the hell are you thinking?" Justin tapped Laura lightly on the forehead.
Annoyed, Laura brushed Justin's hand away from her forehead. "I don't know! I want to get out of here, bye!"
"That's exactly what I'm telling you and you're sure you want to go out alone?"
Laura's steps were stopped by Justin's words. Right, there was no way she was going out in such a dangerous situation. Embarrassed, Laura turned around and walked towards Justin while looking down. She shook her head softly when she was right in front of him.
Justin chuckled and pulled Laura's hand away. "That's why, next time you shouldn't just walk away. Look at it like this, right? If you had asked permission, I'm sure you would have been safe and there wouldn't have been a situation like this." Justin said as he walked with Laura.
Laura frowned in confusion. "What does it have to do with me telling you I'll be safe?"
"There is of course. I'll come with you and protect you," he replied lightly.
In Laura's opinion, over time Justin's character had completely changed one hundred and eighty degrees. His level of stubbornness was also very high. She just rolled her eyes lazily at the man's overconfident words.
"So how do we get out of here?"
The man didn't answer, he just walked while pulling Laura's hand. The woman snorted in annoyance, she finally decided to keep quiet and just followed Justin where he went.
Without realizing how long they had been walking, Laura didn't realize that they had arrived at the parking lot safely even in front of Justin's car until Justin finally called her name. When he opened the door for her and let her in, she got in and thanked him. Then she glanced at the driver's seat to her left that Justin was sitting in.
"So... why is it like this?" asked Justin with a serious face.
Meanwhile, Laura, the woman had covered her face and raised her hand to her hair and pulled it back. She shook her head, not intending to tell him.
"Laura, tell me. Who you bumped into and whatever it was explain it." Justin urged.
"I... I can't tell-"
"Aren't you going to tell me about your encounter with Gabriel and the public misunderstanding?" Justin interrupted.
Laura's face looked shocked. "How did you know?" she asked.
"Of course I know, my boyfriend has made trouble so I have to solve it," Justin said with a smile and pulled Laura's nose.
Immediately she blushed, somehow Justin's words managed to make her blush and blush at the same time. Justin pulled Laura into his arms and stroked her hair gently.
"What are you doing to me Laura?" Justin whispered.
"Hm..." Laura just mumbled under her breath because she didn't understand what he meant. Did what? She didn't feel like she did anything to him. Why would Justin ask her that? What was the meaning of Justin's question?
Well, she would know the answer in the future.
.....
Right now, Justin and Laura were enjoying their talk at the back pool. Justin and Laura were sitting on the couch where Laura had once fallen and drowned and Justin had come and saved her life. If not, Laura was sure she wouldn't be in this world anymore. She wouldn't be with Justin right now. Earlier, he had invited her to this swimming pool and they ended up talking and laughing.
"What, so you had a fight with a boy? Hahaha, come on Justin! Do you have to fight with a boy?" laughed Laura.
Justin rolled his eyes. "I had to you know, that boy kept challenging me saying if I didn't fight him, I was scared of him and blah blah blah. When he fell down, he asked me for compensation. Very cunning of him, because he even asked for compensation for a ferrari sports car and then if I refused he would take me to the police. Actually, I wasn't afraid because I could get away easily. But at that time I was lazy to deal with the police so I just followed the boy's wishes."
Laura's applause confused Justin. "Wow, what a cunning brain that kid has haha, but how did you meet him?"
"That time, he hit my car and then blamed me and that's it, weird."
"Oh I see, be patient Justin haha."
"Ah yes, what about your past? And your parents and brother or sister? I've never heard of them before."
Damn!
Laura immediately wanted to get out of there or run away. But that would make Justin suspicious of her. Should she lie to Justin? But Justin had been good to her, even if sometimes he wasn't. Laura wanted to cry but she couldn't, the memories of her past replaying in her head. How her father died, her mother, and her brother were the worst experiences of her life, even more than bad. She couldn't explain how she felt at that time. She couldn't even bear to meet the man who had killed her family. She didn't know if he was alive or dead. Laura just hoped she would never see him again.
"No?"
Laura's reverie was broken when she heard Justin's call. She fidgeted and turned to Justin, looking like a fool.
"From?"
"Are you okay? Did you have a bad past?"
Laura tried to remain as smiling and excited as before. "What? Of course it's fun, just like your past was fun when you told me about it. Fun!"
Justin raised one eyebrow and looked at Laura suspiciously. "So we both have fun pasts?"
"No! It's your past that's fun not mine, uh I mean yes both of our pasts are fun. Um, yes both of our pasts were fun." Laura said with a slight stutter.
"Really?"
"No, uh yes yes yes!"
Oh my! Laura really wanted to kill herself or at least disappear from the scene. This mouth of hers really couldn't cooperate. Maybe what people say is true, the heart and mind if when lying are not in harmony will be caught. Because our hearts don't want to lie, but our mouths tell lies. His history is finished if it's like this. No! No! No! Laura tried to convince herself that she could handle this! She had to keep her secret that she had kept tightly closed.
"You lied Laura and again!" scolded Justin.
"Jus... Justin I... I didn't lie to you." denied Laura.
"You've had enough of hiding it from me Laura! I know you sometimes dream about your parents or your brother, but somehow I can't find any data about them. I'm your lover Laura, tell me."
Laura's eyes glazed over. "Justin... I-"
"What am I Laura? Why have you never been honest with me? I just want your honesty Laura." Justin said in a tone that was getting a little emotional.
Laura bowed her head. "Justin... I'm sorry. I'm not ready to tell you."
The man sighed, he smiled slightly and stroked Laura's hair. "I understand, but whenever you're ready, tell me. I'm always ready to listen."
At Justin's words, she smiled and nodded her head slowly. "Thank you."
