"No more pretending Laura, I know you're lying."

"Justin... I-I'm not lying! My head hurts so much!" Laura said while holding back the pain in her head. However, she couldn't hold it in anymore. Laura's body collapsed in a faint. Fortunately, Justin caught her right away.

"Shit!" cursed Justin. He thought Laura was manipulating him. It turned out that she really had a headache.

Without thinking, Justin carried Laura's body to her room and laid her on the bed. Justin grabbed his cell phone and called William. His personal doctor and best friend. He also didn't care if he called his best friend early in the morning.

"You're disturbing my fucking sleep!" cursed William as soon as he received the call from his best friend.

Justin chuckled amusedly. "You come here, now!"

"William, I'm not kidding! Laura fainted!"

Oh my God! Justin felt like cracking his best friend's head open. "No! You're coming!"

Justin then broke the connection. He looked at Laura who was lying in front of him unconscious.

"I won't let my sister drive my favorite car, I'll ban her." William said then his gaze shifted to Laura who was lying there. "When did she faint?"

"A few minutes before I called you."

William approached Laura and checked her condition. Actually, there was no point in checking on Laura like that. It was certain that Laura's condition was getting worse until she fainted. He wanted to tell Justin about Laura's condition, but he had promised Laura.

"How is she?"

"Just sick."

What? Justin was stunned by William's answer. It was unusual for the man to answer so briefly.

I don't know why Justin didn't believe the answer given by his best friend. Moreover, William answered very briefly without other words such as 'he' or 'patient'.

Justin's question managed to make William who was tidying up his tools stop. He looked up and saw Justin who was staring at him with a waiting gaze. God, William was really stuck now! What should he answer? He knew the man didn't like people who lied to him.

"I was just checking on you earlier, when he called me this early in the morning. I'm going home then." William said.

Justin and Laura nodded slowly and let the doctor go home. Laura breathed a sigh of relief.
