"Do you need anything?"
Justin shook his head slowly. "Thanks."
"For?" He asked confused.
Taking care of me." Justin said.
Laura smiled softly. "Now you go to sleep. Rest so that your pain will go away soon."
Justin unconsciously smiled slightly at that. He closed his eyes and went to sleep. And Laura? That woman was confused about what to do now. Instead of being bored, she chose to sleep. Laura got off the bed and sat on the floor next to the bed with her hand holding the bed which she used as a pillow.
.....
"Justin, you have to eat! Come on..." Laura coaxed, to no avail, to get Justin to eat.
"I have no appetite and I can't even walk." Justin said.
Laura sighed, she had woken up earlier and it happened to be noon, so she woke Justin up and told him to eat. But he kept refusing to eat. Justin was like an unruly and spoiled little boy. Laura couldn't even believe whether he was Justin or not. He was so different when he was sick and when he was healthy.
"At least you can eat here Justin."
"Okay."
Laura breathed a sigh of relief.
"But..."
God, Laura wanted to break the man's head. With a but-tapian.
"You feed me."
Indeed, this man was very spoiled. But Laura tolerated it. Sick people are usually like this. They are spoiled and must be fed when they eat. But he wasn't like that. Who would feed him when he was sick? In the past there might have been Gabriel and Samuel. But he also rarely told them if he was sick because he didn't want to trouble them.
"I'll get the food first."
Laura got up from her seat and left the room to get the food that Justin was going to eat. She was hungry herself, but Justin was more important because he hadn't eaten since morning. Once the food was ready, she returned to Justin's room with a plate of food and a glass of water.
"Now you eat." Laura said as she placed the tray of food on the table.
Laura helped Justin to sit down and lean against the headboard. After that, Laura took her plate and started to feed him. However, Laura fed him while playing with him. She moved her spoon around when he wanted to eat.
"Do you want some? Here, eat!" Sodor Laura.
Just as Justin was about to put it on, Laura moved the spoon again. She laughed out loud when she saw the man's silly face as he opened his mouth.
Laura smothered her laughter. "Ok ok, I mean it. Are you eating?"
"No." Justin refused.
"Why else Justin?" Laura asked patiently.
"You don't seem to have any intention of feeding me." Justin made a sullen face.
Laura scratched her head that wasn't itchy. "Oh my gosh Justin! I was joking earlier. You eat, right? Then you take your medicine."
Laura went back to feeding the man. While Laura was feeding Justin, Justin's eyes kept looking at her intently. Laura realized it and became a little stiff and nervous, but she tried to ignore it.
Justin caught Laura's hand as she was about to put another spoon into her mouth. He and Laura stared at each other for a long time until Laura let go. She was taken aback by the man's actions.
Laura quickly stood up. "I'm going to the kitchen first to put this down."
Laura was finally free from the man's gaze. Without realizing it, she didn't see the plastic underneath. She stepped on it and slipped. Laura felt her body for pain, but she frowned. Why didn't anything hurt?
She looked up and saw Justin above her. Justin caught her? Oh my God, her heart was beating so fast. Even Justin's heart was racing too. They stayed in that position for quite a while with Laura's back on Justin's arm and her hand on his shoulder.
"Be careful where you walk." Justin said to Laura.
"Justin, you still hurt." Laura said.
"No, I'm not. I've actually recovered."
Laura widened her eyes. "What? So fast? You little shit."
"Hey! I saved you. Next time, walk with your eyes and feet."
Justin laid Laura down and unconsciously intertwined his fingers with Laura's tiny fingers. He led her by the hand out of the room to the dining room. Laura didn't even realize it. Maybe it was because she also felt comfortable with the grip. So Laura didn't realize it.
Arriving at the dining room, Justin stopped his steps and pulled Laura's shoulders so that she was facing him. He gently pushed away the strands of hair covering her eyes. "I know you haven't eaten yet. You must be hungry, right? Now you eat."
"Laura replied with a faint smile on her lips. "Thank you."
Justin accompanied Laura to eat. Suddenly he remembered what happened this morning. Justin immediately turned his face serious.
"You know William?" Justin asked.
Hearing that, Laura immediately choked and coughed. She accepted the glass of water Justin gave her and drank it right away. "Why are you asking me that?"
Justin jumped to conclusions. "Well, you know each other. So what's your relationship?"
Nervousness was written all over Laura's face. She didn't know what to answer. "No. We don't know each other. I just met him earlier." She said.
"Hmm... You're not good at lying Laura. I even know about Gabriel and Samuel."
Laura coughed again at the name. How did he know that? Laura stared intently at Justin. "How did you know?" She snapped.
"I told you, I don't want any problems with my servants so I'm looking for all the information."
Deg.
Laura was shocked to hear that. She just hoped Justin wouldn't find out about her dark past and her illness. Especially since she hid her past from the public. So Laura just hoped that no one would find out.
Laura doesn't even know where her father, mother and brother's graves are. After running away, she never came back. Laura left when she was 17 years old from the city where she used to live. From California to New York, the city where she lives now. She has been living in New York for four years now.
