Ch. 6Help Me!

Hearing the sentence, Mahendra immediately asked them to return home. He didn't want to spend time cleaning the mosque here.

The three girls were forced to leave at Mahendra's request. They understood the fear of the man, who had only been on the island for a few hours.

"I need to be cautious in this case. Numerous regulations exist. To avoid complications, I have to put in an effort to find out." Mahendra said from behind the door after forcing the three women he had brought into the room out of fear that Bahari would expose him to his father.

“Or... I could use a pretty way to play with them. Ah, if it wasn't like that, there's no way I'd feel at home here. Haha, can't I just stare at nature every day?” He thought slyly with a mischievous smile.

After that, The many noises outside disturbed Mahendra's sleep before daybreak.

The heat had driven the man to sleep unclothed all night, and he was now forced to cover his face with a pillow to block off the sound waves emanating from outside the room.

However, Mahendra had lost his sleepiness and spontaneously got out of bed. Standing on his knees on the mattress, he was angry at the people who had woken him up.

“Ah! Why are they up so early? I still want to sleep,” he protested, unwilling to lose the moment of sleep he loved so much with his eyes still closed.

As soon as he opened his tightly closed eyelids, Mahendra came face-to-face with a snake in his room.

“Oh my!” The words spontaneously escaped his lips. There were many things he was not afraid of, but this time his nerves were frayed by the slithering animal staring at him.

“Should I just scream?” She asked herself, still frozen and not daring to move.

The snake didn't seem to lower its body, even though Mahendra had stayed still according to the knowledge he had gained from the film. Feeling fooled by the film, Mahendra immediately shouted loudly for people outside to help him.

"A SNAKE IS HERE!"

"HELP ME!" I hope not to perish here! He yelled again and again.

Everyone in the health facility could hear her voice because it was so loud. The disturbance that was occurring there abruptly subsided, and one of them was prompted to investigate the source of the noise.

Even though he was still busy with the accident victim, who was being treated at the health center, the man tried to invite other residents to find the source of the sound.

“Where did that sound come from?” he asked.

“It seems to be coming from the empty room behind the health center, sir!” replied an old man.

“If I'm not mistaken, there's a newcomer there, right?”

“Right!”

The health center was suddenly a little quieter than before as the residents split into two to rescue Mahendra based on the sound of his screams and accompany the patient who had fallen from the tree while sleepwalking.

“Is there anyone inside?”

After hearing it, Mahendra responded to the query.

"Sure, I'm inside. Please, there's a snake here!"

The men at the door exchanged quick looks. The door was opened right away, but it remained in place.

"Please open the door," the tenants begged.

“How am I going to open the door with that snake standing in front of me?” Mahendra looked at the slithering animal and replied irritably, wanting to swear but finding it impossible.

The locals screamed, "Next, we're going to smash the door!"

“Yes, break it! Furthermore, bun-” Mahendra was distracted by the long, black beauty, resulting in an inadequate response.

Mahendra was stunned and fell unconscious. The villagers brought his body to the medical hospital. Creating new excitement at the health centre. Mahendra was lying on a mattress, and the locals called the doctor on duty.

“Doctor! Help this man!” said a villager who picked Mahendra up.

“Astagfirullah! What's wrong with him, Sir?” asked the 35-year-old doctor.

“He was bitten by a snake!”

“Huh?” The doctor was shocked to hear the villager's answer.

Abruptly, Mahendra was inspected and asked about the kind of snake that bit him, so that he might receive treatment right away.

The doctor said, "I hope we have some in stock; there aren't many snake venom antidotes here."

Mahendra had received no care at all and was still seated. A woman watched in silence, deep in thought, from a distance.

"Bitten by a snake?" he wondered, coming up with a different solution.

The woman was Sofia, who was accompanying her sick neighbor. Sofia gets permission to go outside the health center for a while and hurries to look for something in the yard.

She remembers that a few months ago, when the village organized planting and landscaping in various places, she had planted onions in front of the health center.

Sofia takes out a few cloves of garlic and briefly rinses them under the tap. Sofia walked into the clinic and asked the nurse for a tool.

The nurse asks Sofia, who has a beautiful face, "What is it for, Sofia?"

"To mash up the garlic."

"Garlic?" The nurse seemed perplexed.

Sofia grabbed it fast. She saw it on the shelf. She took out an onion, quickly crushed it, and brought it to Mahendra's side.

Sofia placed the garlic on the side of Mahendra's leg where the nurse had previously cleaned the snake bite, without patiently awaiting the doctor.

"What are you doing, Sofia?" The nurse enquired once more.

She retorted, "Garlic can relieve the symptoms of snake bites."

"Is Sofia being serious?" The male nurse gave off an opinionated look.

"True, Sir. I read in the book that particular thing," answering the inhabitants' questions, Sofia keeps applying the medication.

The doctor, who had overheard from inside the medicine room, immediately ran to bring a medical drug that was thought to inhibit the spread of venom.

“What are you doing?” the doctor asked.

“I'm just helping the doctor,” Sofia replied casually, then forcibly gave Mahendra a drink even though he was unconscious.
