I saw another strange creature right above me. Again a furry creature! It was huge, the size of a giant. Its fur was ivory yellow mixed with orange. Next to its right eye, there were three round red objects. I didn't know what they were. The creature's nose was exactly like a cat's. Its ears were pointed orange with fox-like eyes.
Whatever the creature in front of me was, I didn't feel good right now. The creature started sniffing the air and then turned to the ground. Damn! Why can't I move? I should be running right now. But, my legs are too weak to run. I froze at that very moment.
I closed my eyes. Honestly, I shuddered in horror at the giant before me. It got closer then when it sniffed my scent, it groaned. It took a few steps away then looked at me with its blue eyes. I held my balance as the ground I stood on shook. Gosh, I can't even think of anything right now!
Not long after, the creature growled, and sharp nails came out of its fingers. This is not good! The alarm went off loudly in the back of my head. Seeing that, I spontaneously ran past under its belly. Thankfully, I could move right now!
I ran as fast as I could. I hoped the creature wouldn't come after me. Who knew the giant could be as mindless as the birds? However, moments later the ground around me shook. Damn!
I kept running as the ground shook around me. That thing was chasing me! What did it want? At that moment, I realized. I took the wrong path. I returned to the place where the smoky plant was.
However, seconds later I thought of something. No! I didn't take the wrong path. The plant benefited my position. I had found a way to get past it that wasn't with that creature.
The lotus leaves came into view. I quickly ran and jumped onto them. Jumping from one leaf to another just like I did before.
Amidst the smoky grass, I almost fell over. Both my hands managed to reach the edge of the lotus-like leaf. Silly me, I returned to the surface of the leaf and quickly jumped to another leaf. At the last leaf, I jumped. As soon as my feet touched the ground, I didn't run anymore. I don't know what I was thinking. I stopped to see the success of my plan.
If I'm right, that thing is too big to pass through the lotus, right? Then the only way to reach me is to pass through the smoky plant. It might not die from the smoky plant given its large body. But, I'm sure it will get hurt.
The trees began to move roughly. The creature came into view. It was sniffing the air and the ground. I was sure it must be looking for me. As soon as it became aware of my presence, it growled again and its blue eyes looked back at me sharply.
Not long after, it ran blindly towards me. I held my breath hoping my plan would work. If not, I would die at a young age without anyone knowing. Remembering that made me hate Ursa Major even more. I looked back at the creature. In the middle of the grass, it stopped chasing me.
My plan worked! The smell of burning hair filled my nostrils. The creature was thrashing in pain. Perhaps the creature's hair was starting to melt just like my handkerchief. In a few moments, this creature would be on fire. Was I too evil?
I shook my head. No, I didn't! I was just trying to defend myself. This thing attacked me and probably looked at me as its food. So, what's wrong? I have to survive!
I watched the creature with bated breath. The round red object beside its eyes had turned into a white color. Why did it change color? But, that's none of my business. I breathed again, relieved to have survived for the second time.
"Aeru!" I heard a voice right from behind me.
I turned my head to hear the shout. The furry ball was back again. It floated quickly towards me and then stopped right in front of me. Its round eyes looked at me as if it was asking for something. I just kept quiet. To be honest, I didn't understand at all what the furry creature wanted.
"Ruru, help him please!" I saw its lips move.
"You can talk?" I asked in surprise.
The creature didn't answer my question. Instead, it flew up and pulled a vine and gave it to me with its small hand. I stared at the vine not understanding what this furry ball wanted.
"Pull it, ruru!" it said.
"Are you crazy? He wants to kill me. He's a giant after all," I refused.
Of course, I refused. Is it normal to help a creature that wants to kill you? Besides, I'm not sure I can pull it off given the size of the creature before me.
"Hurry up, Ruru!" urged the furry ball.
The furry ball continued to hover around me while saying the same phrase. I tried to push it away but it kept coming back and begging me.
"Alright, now move away," I said as I made a face.
Feeling annoyed, I began to form a knot from the vine and threw it at the giant. The creature bit the vine that I threw. I sighed and started pulling the vine. The giant moved little by little.
"I told you, right? There's no way I can pull it!" I said irritably while continuing to pull the giant.
Suddenly, the furry ball flew in front of me then sighed and exhaled right in front of me. Blue dust from its mouth danced around me. After that, I felt so powerful.
I again tried to pull the creature. Oh my! With my current strength, pulling the giant creature was exactly like pulling a piece of tissue. I pulled it out of the smoky grass.
The creature survived. I watched it with a sense of dread. But, the claws disappeared. I looked at the creature's body. I was right! The creature's fur was burnt in several places.
The furry ball flew around me while saying thank you and then approached the creature. Its shorthand touched the creature's nose. Step by step, the creature began to shrink to the size of a panda.
Not only that, its burnt fur slowly lengthened back to its original state. Can the furry ball heal someone?
The creature moved a little unsteadily. I snapped out of my reverie and immediately took a few steps back. I didn't want to take any chances. It could have attacked me again.
The creature approached me and then stopped 1.5 meters away from me as if keeping its distance. It looked at my face closely and then bowed respectfully. I looked at it in surprise. That thing wanted to kill me just now. Now, it was honoring me?
