Ch. 5Catrin's mother searches for her missing daughter

The woman continued to listen to Lorena's mother's explanation until suddenly she screamed hysterically and cried out loudly as she fell to the floor. Lorena's mother and Roy were shocked to see this and tried to calm the woman's heart.
"Be patient, Catrin! Calm yourself!" shouted Lorena's mother as she held the woman's shoulder.
"I can't bear to see Inggrid die like that!" Catrin shouted as she struggled to release her shoulder from Lorena's grip.
Roy panicked and brought a glass of cold water, which he gave to the woman. After drinking the water, Catrin's feelings calmed down a bit and she began to tell Lorena about something unknown to her.
Catrin began to tell about her daughter who had left a week ago with a handsome young man, and she didn't know where her daughter had met this young man. The last time Inggrid asked for permission to go to Cardiff with the young man and promised to return before nightfall, Catrin forbade her daughter to go with a man she had just met. However, Inggrid remained firm in her decision, and reluctantly, Catrin gave her permission. That was the last time Catrin saw her daughter alive, and now she heard the news of her daughter's tragic death.
"Maybe that young man killed her," Catrin said, tears streaming down her face.
"I also suspect that," Roy replied, nodding his head.
"We have to investigate this slowly," Lorena said.
Roy said that in any case, this mystery had to be solved so that it wouldn't spread and claim more lives. Both women agreed with Roy's intention.
As the night approached, Lorena asked Catrin to stay overnight at her house, and the woman agreed. Tonight, the full moon appeared, and the village of Hogan seemed somewhat bright with the moonlight shining. Lorena, Roy, and Catrin were still talking when suddenly they were startled by the sound of a long and mournful wolf howl.
They got up from the sofa and approached the window. Coincidentally, the lights inside the house were dim. They widened their eyes as they peeked outside, where two Werewolf humans were running towards the village of Hogan, chasing a man who was screaming for help. However, none of the villagers dared to go out and help. They didn't want to face those ferocious creatures and suffer the fatal consequences.
Roy couldn't help the man. His weapon wouldn't be able to kill the Werewolves, so he intended to meet with a pastor who was his friend to seek a solution to this case.
"We can't help him," Roy said, looking at the man being chased by the two supernatural creatures.
"His fate is the same as my daughter, who was devoured by them," Catrin replied sadly.
"I have to meet Pastor Albert tomorrow," Roy said as he closed the curtains and sat back on the sofa.
"Can he find a solution to this case?" Catrin asked hopefully.
"I don't know yet," Roy replied.
Then the young man explained that he would tell his friend about the case that had happened in this village and ask for guidance. Hearing the young man's words brought a glimmer of hope to escape from the deadly terror that now plagued the once peaceful village.
The man had been captured and taken by the two werewolves, so all the villagers knew that the man's life would not last much longer. All the lights in the villagers' houses went out, making the village look like an uninhabited silent area. Seeing this, Catrin's mother looked very scared and sad, and she intended to move far away from the Swansea area.
"I will not stay in Swansea anymore," said Catrin's mother.
"Why?" asked Lorena's mother, surprised.
"I want to forget the past and live with my brother in West Germany," Catrin's mother replied, shedding tears.
"Alright then, we can only pray for you," Lorena's mother said with a smile.
The next morning, Roy accompanied Catrin's mother back to her house and then continued his journey to the Bradford church in West Yorkshire. When he arrived there, the atmosphere in the church seemed quiet. Roy entered the large church courtyard with enthusiasm.
He knocked on the door several times, and a monk opened the door. The religious servant asked about the purpose of his visit.
"I want to meet Pastor Albert, is he here?" Roy asked hopefully.
"Of course he is, come with me," Rudi replied, leading the way to the office.
Roy followed the monk, and when they arrived, he saw his friend sitting there, watching Roy's arrival. Pastor Albert was very happy. It had been several years since they had last met, and now they were able to meet again.
"It's been a long time since we last met, is there anything I can help you with?" Pastor Albert asked.
"Of course, I need your help," Roy replied with a smile.
Then, Roy told him about the incident of Inggrid's death in the forest in a horrifying way. Pastor Albert and monk Rudi were very shocked to hear the report.
They empathized with the grief experienced by Catrin's mother, and Pastor Albert promised to help Roy solve this problem.
"I have heard of a plant that can ward off werewolves," Pastor Albert said.
"What plant is that?" Roy asked eagerly.
"Wolfbane," Pastor Albert replied.
"Where can I find that plant?" Roy asked again, becoming more curious as he listened to the explanation from his friend.
Pastor Albert said that the plant was located at the peak of the Cambrian mountains and they had to make the journey tomorrow morning. Hearing the good news, Roy's spirit was reignited and he would convey the good news to his family and the villagers.
Shortly after, he immediately returned to Hogan village with the news and called all the villagers to gather and announce the news.
How joyful all the villagers were when they heard the good news. They had always been haunted by fear because of the werewolf's actions, which had been slaughtering people in several villages in the Swansea region.
The next morning, Roy left accompanied by all the villagers who escorted him to the village border. They hoped that the young man would successfully accomplish his mission and make the village lively again without fear.
Pastor Albert had prepared his horse along with Rudi, while the other monks stayed behind to carry out their church duties as usual. The three of them went to the Cambrian mountains with enthusiasm to find the useful antidote plant to fight against the werewolf pack.
