The time had passed midnight, and the handsome man seemed to still be awake. The baby's cries echoing a few times prevented him from sleeping.
"Olsen, what's wrong? Are you thirsty?" Moran asked gently to the tiny baby who was crying again.
Moran got up from the bed and went to the table next to the bed, where all the baby's necessities were placed. Carefully, he prepared milk for his son and then returned to baby Olsen, whose face was starting to turn red.
"Darling, I'm here. This is milk for you, little master," Moran said as he gently handed the bottle to the baby, who could now hold it himself.
"Nggh..." Olsen groaned while sucking on the milk with his still wet eyes.
"You are very restless. It's okay to wait a bit. There's no need to scream until your face turns red like this," Moran chided while gently wiping the small tears off his little baby's cheeks.
"Are you mad at me too?" Moran asked, seeing Olsen's sharp gaze.
With the tiny baby, Moran, who was usually cold, became very warm. He asked many questions, although the baby could only cry without giving an answer.
However, this actually made Moran talk even more. Olsen was the place where Moran showed another side of himself. With this little baby, Moran seemed like a crazy person who laughed and talked to himself every day.
He gently stroked his son's fine hair, locked eyes with the clear eyes that had the same blue gems as his.
As he tried to calm the baby, the shadow of someone returned to his memory. Since that day, Moran had visited the hospital where he met Sean several times. However, every time his efforts failed; their schedules always clashed. Although he had tried to wait patiently, Sean never appeared.
Moran went back to the days before the painful parting. One day, when Sean was still a high school student at the same school as Moran, who was already a senior college student, Moran intended to visit the place.
While waiting for Sean's class to finish, Moran sat in the school cafeteria, watching teenage kids who seemed to be arguing.
Moran smiled and shook his head, remembering how often he observed little Sean in this place.
The school buildings welcomed students from various levels. Sean, who was still in the first level, while Moran was almost graduating from the middle level. Time passed quickly, and now Sean had become a handsome young man in the middle level.
After waiting for quite some time, Sean finally appeared, dispelling the boredom that had crept up on Moran. With a sweet smile, Sean approached and sat in front of Moran.
"Moran, sorry for making you wait so long," Sean said.
"Are you done?" Moran asked.
"Yes, I don't have tutoring today either," Sean replied, placing his bag on the table.
"What do you want to do?" Sean asked hopefully.
"It's up to you. You're free to decide where we'll go," Moran said.
"Mm, I just want to wander around," Sean replied.
Moran smiled and shrugged. He already knew Sean, the astrophile who loved the sky and its contents.
"Alright, let's go. We don't have much time if you want to wander around," Moran said as he got up from his seat.
Moran opened the car door for Sean. After they both sat inside, Moran started the engine and began to drive.
"Are you ready?" Moran asked, turning to Sean.
"Hurry up and get out of here,"
"Alright," Moran said, stepping on the gas pedal and leaving the city center.
The vehicle headed to the harbor and stopped at a famous building. The Oslo Opera House, with its white and glass design, was their destination. However, Sean preferred to go to the harbor. They found a cafe not far from the dock to relax while watching the passing ships.
After enjoying seafood at the cafe, Moran and Sean chatted.
"How's your college?" Sean asked as they waited for their food to arrive.
"Good, everything is going smoothly,"
"Are you sure you want to stay in the apartment?"
"Yes, I think it's the right choice. You know what's going on at home," Moran replied, gazing out towards the sea.
"I hope you'll reconsider," Sean said.
Moran chose not to respond, enjoying the food in front of him. When the meal was finished, Moran suggested continuing their journey.
"I still want to take you somewhere after this,"
Sean nodded, and they returned to the car, leaving the cafe and heading to a hilly area.
Moran took Sean to a dome-shaped building, a former American defense fort that had been converted into an observatory.
"Let's go in, the weather is clear enough to see what's up there," Moran said.
Sean looked amazed and followed Moran inside. Moran took him to the telescope, and Sean looked very excited.
"Moran, do you want to try it?"
"Mm, no. You like this kind of thing,"
"Really? Is it because I like it and you brought me here?" Sean asked.
Moran just observed with a gentle smile. The stiff expression that had appeared some time ago now disappeared, replaced by a sweet smile.
"I found you," Sean muttered, pulling Moran's hand to see what he saw through the telescope.
"The moon?"
"Yes, that's the moon," Sean replied cheerfully.
Moran stepped away from the telescope, looking at Sean with confusion.
"What's up?" Sean asked, laughing softly.
"What's so interesting about the moon? Just a solid colorless object.”
"Step away," Sean said, returning to his position.
"You're too easily moved. Just enjoy the moon to your heart's content,"
Sean continued to smile happily, while Moran could only smile seeing the young man's happiness.
After spending a long time, they returned to the car. Sean stopped for a moment, gazing at the building with admiration.
"Moran, I have something for you," Moran said, getting out of the car with something.
"What is it?" Sean asked, turning to Moran.
"Look, I still have another one in the car,"
"What's this for? Just seeing it already makes me happy," Sean said when he saw the camera given by Moran.
"You're too easily moved. Quickly look at the others," Moran said, pulling Sean into the car.
Sean examined the camera, then looked up at the moon.
"What are you doing?" Moran asked, avoiding the camera's view.
"What's wrong with you?" Sean asked, laughing.
"No need to try it on me," Moran replied, turning back to the car.
"Hey, that's not you. Try lifting your gaze up,"
Moran followed, raising his face and seeing the beautiful shining moon in the night sky. Moran smiled sweetly, holding back his embarrassment over what had just happened.
That day, besides wandering with Sean, Moran gave a camera and a telescope as gifts.
Uhukk!! Uhhukk!!
The coughing sound from little Olsen interrupted the father's reverie.
The little baby had already fallen asleep with the empty bottle still in his hand.
" . . . "
Moran smiled, seeing the small mouth still trying, the empty bottle making only air audible as he sucked on it.
