Ch. 40PICK UP AMELIE'S MOM

This morning, the air was so fresh as I walked slowly through the beautiful campus park. Being a student in a beautiful campus is my dream since I was in high school. I always imagined being able to enjoy the green and fresh campus environment, as well as the cool air when walking to the classroom. In addition, I also aspire to study at a reputable university, a college that has a good reputation, so that I can feel comfortable while studying.

However, after graduating high school, reality went beyond the plan I had neatly laid out. A series of bad events destroyed my dreams and plans. I had to accept the fact that fate was not on my side. My dream of going to college that I dreamed of is gone.

Time passed, and the dream slowly faded away. However, one day, an impulse that was originally just for fun sparked the courage that suddenly appeared to make me try to apply for college. Although not in the college I ever dreamed of I feel very grateful because it turns out this campus is no less magnificent than the college I dreamed of. In fact, I just found out this university also has a very prestigious reputation.

At first, I just wanted to experience college life to overcome boredom. Sometimes I think, if I could have accepted the reality more quickly that did not match expectations, maybe I would have continued my studies earlier. However, reality told me otherwise; I had to go through various unpleasant things first.

My decision to go to college was like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert. The new campus life gives color to my life that previously felt bleak. The campus is very beautiful, almost like I Dreamed a few years ago. I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of a green and beautiful campus environment, as I always imagined.

As I walk through the park, a cool breeze whispers beauty. This morning's lecture schedule is on the third floor, not bad as a form of light exercise. From the hallway, I could see the beautiful view of the park I had just passed. A couple of students sitting under a shady tree, engrossed in conversation, caught my attention. The romantic scene somehow made me think of the figure of Sebastian, which seemed to be a cure for my dry heart, which had never been touched by the feeling of love.

"Hey, again see what?"Amelie's voice shattered my daydreams. I turned my head and smiled at him.

"I'm looking for someone," I answered honestly. Amelie looked in the direction I was looking. "Oh, you must be, too," she laughed.

"What the hell, Mel ..."I grabbed his arm slowly. The two of us walked together to the classroom.

"How is your mother, Amelie?"I remember Amelie's phone call last night telling me about her mother's condition.

"My mother's plan is to go home today. You want to come and pick up my mom at the hospital?"Amelie suddenly offered a rare opportunity.

"Is it possible?"I asked a little incredulous.

"Does anyone forbid it?"Amelie pretended to be confused.

"I was afraid that it would be annoying and uncomfortable."

Amelie then laughed a little, "that's weird, El. Why would you think that?"

"I mean it, Mel. Did your sister come too?"

"Sebastian? Of course, he brought the car. So, how's it going? Will you accompany me? I'll introduce you to the mother, " replied Amelie sounding a little pushy.

I finally nodded, "All right, I'm in."Hearing my answer, Amelie smiled happily. "What time are we going to the hospital?"

"After school hours are over."

Suddenly, I couldn't wait for college to end.

By half past twelve, all the lecture schedules had been completed. Amelie and I immediately sorted out the things that were scattered on the campus table.

"Raveline, let's just take a taxi, you're fine right?"Amelie, who seemed to have just received a message on her cell phone, looked at me. "Bastian has business, so he can't pick us up at campus. We have to go to the hospital ourselves. How, no problem, right?"

Actually, I was a little disappointed that I couldn't meet Sebastian. However, what can do? Did I withdraw my statement just because of that? I promised to accompany Amelie. It would be selfish of me to cancel my trip just because Sebastian didn't pick up Amelie.

"Oh my God, Mel, I think something's wrong. It doesn't matter, as long as you get to your destination safely. I'm flexible, as long as you don't just ride a tricycle," I replied, to which Amelie burst out laughing.

"How about we have lunch before we leave? I'm hungry, " said Amelie while advancing her lips like ornamental fish in the campus pond.

"So, shall we eat first?"I asked to make sure.

Amelie smiled and replied, " Yes, let's eat first, so that later we will not starve when looking for a place to eat at the hospital."

However, when we arrived at the campus cafeteria, we found long lines everywhere. The dining tables were also full. Amelie and I looked at each other with understanding.

"It's going to be a long, long wait," I said.

Amelie immediately sighed slowly. "Yes, it is. So what do you think? Want to go straight to the hospital?"

"I have an idea, how about later in the hospital, while you're busy with this business, I'll find the lunch? How?"my proposal.

Amelie seemed to think for a moment before finally agreeing. "Yes, well, it's better that way. Instead of having to wait in line for a long time and the time to be late for a long time."

We walked to the campus gate, waiting for a taxi that would take us to the hospital.

While waiting for the taxi we ordered, Amelie and I sat in silence. In my mind was busy thinking about how to be sweet in the presence of Amelie's mother. I don't want to make a bad impression on. The first meeting with Amelie mother is important for me. Doesn't Amelie's mother mean Sebastian's mother too. I pray that her mother is not a typical woman who likes to grumble and make scathing comments when she doesn't like someone.
