"So he's the one?" Anggoro looked at Indra with a sharp look in his eyes, "Papa almost killed the wrong person."
"P-papa?? what are you doing here?" asked Dinda stammering, "And... what does Papa mean?"
Anggoro then snorted with unbearable anger. He then looked at the restaurant area which was now crowded with diners who were enjoying their lunch. That's right, the situation had turned tense, even with everyone's eyes currently on Anggoro and Dinda and Indra who were inside there.
"Damn! this isn't a good place," he muttered to himself.
The man then sighed trying to hold back his emotions and then said, "Dinda, and you!" while raising his eyes to look at Indra, "Come to the office. I think you have something to explain."
Indra suddenly turned to Dinda while raising both eyebrows as if asking a question, but Dinda, who did not understand the situation, could only shake her head. At the same time, Anggoro, who had a face like a boiled crab, quickly turned around and began to leave the place.
"Come on, Indra," invited Dinda who then got up from her seat.
"But, Lady. I don't want to be accused."
"Tsk! I'll explain it to Papa later ... you need the money too, right?"
Indra was silent, the situation seemed to suffocate him to the point that he could do nothing but obey the woman he had recently met. Until without much more comment, Indra automatically got up and followed her.
In the car park, Anggoro was waiting in his car, expressionless. Just a thousand words of silence with the sardonic gaze of a cold-blooded killer.
"Don't you sit in the front, Pa?" asked Dinda hesitantly.
Anggoro glared with a frown on his forehead that was clearly visible, "Do you think Papa will let you sit at the back alone?"
Dinda fell silent, bowing her head as she grumbled to herself, "It's okay! After all ... who would want to be alone with him."
Indra, who understood the situation, was even more frightened after she found out that she had to sit next to a man who seemed authoritative and cold to his since the first time they met at the hospital.
"I'll take an taxi then," Indra said awkwardly and managed to stop Dinda from opening the front car door.
"What? Just go together," Dinda snapped.
Anggoro then coughed harshly and said, "Why? I won't bite you."
That one remark managed to make Indra feel confused and awkward again, even though he didn't mean it to. Even with Dinda who suddenly chuckled trying to hold back her laughter because of her father's words which were fairly ridiculous for her.
Dinda also hinted at something with her eyes, until finally Indra just complied and quickly got into the car. But this trip turned out to be a long and tense journey for Indra.
Because as long as the car was moving, Indra could not do anything. It was as if someone was watching his movements, even breathing felt so heavy. The same was true for Dinda, who sat in the front seat. The woman constantly looked at the front mirror to check the condition of the occupants of the back seat.
With a long sigh, Dinda muttered to herself, "I feel so guilty about Indra..."
Time seemed to slow down, and so did the speed of the vehicle, until moments ago they arrived at Anggoro's company office. Indra looked stunned when he saw the luxurious building that towered so high that it dazzled him.
"Ah! What a skyscraper," he murmured.
Indra's reverie was instantly interrupted when something elbowed him, "Shh! Ordinary ... don't be so daft," he whispered mockingly.
"Ekhem!" Anggoro suddenly cleared his throat with a sharp gaze as if he felt uncomfortable seeing Dinda and Indra who seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Anggoro then shuffled into the large building, suddenly his arrival along with Dinda and Indra became the focus of the company's employees. Yes! They were constantly staring at Indra, who was walking behind Anggoro and Dinda in his unchanged uniform.
But Dinda and her father certainly didn't mind, it was just that the lobby was instantly filled with whispers about the strange man and his clothes.
They arrived at Anggoro's spacious room, which must have made Indra wide-eyed at its size and beautiful layout.
"Alright, let's get this over with," said Anggoro who quickly sat down on the guest chair followed by Dinda and Indra who sat down slowly.
Anggoro let out a long breath while observing the man who was with them.
"So, is it true that you impregnated my daughter?" Anggoro asked straight to the point, making Indra flinch as he was about to deny it.
"Sorry, not-"
"Haah... how come, Dinda?" Anggoro shifted his gaze to stare at Dinda with a look mixed with disappointment, "Even though Papa thinks your cowardly boyfriend did it."
Dinda only looked down to hide her embarrassment, but in fact she was currently feeling confused about the situation. Even with the first thing she should do right now. In addition, Indra was made even more confused by the offer Dinda had made moments ago.
"If I refuse, pity her ... I also need money for my mother's treatment in the village," he muttered to himself.
Anggoro, who was starting to get annoyed with the not-so-satisfactory situation, grunted again when he saw Indra and Dinda who were silent.
"Don't just stay silent, please explain your conversation at the restaurant," Anggoro ordered and then sharpened his gaze on Indra, "About you being responsible for my daughter."
Indra felt more and more pressured, the trembling in his body was inevitable. Until finally...
"Y-yes, sir. I did it," she replied suddenly, "I will take responsibility."
Dinda suddenly widened her eyes, feeling unexpected by Indra's statement. Even for a moment she herself was not sure that he would accept her offer.
As for Anggoro, the middle-aged man was now infuriated by Indra's answer. Yes! His anger suddenly peaked as if he was ready to pounce on the prey in front of his eyes. But the tense atmosphere was quickly realised by Dinda.
The woman racked her brains.
"Ah! I-it's my fault too, Pa," she stammered, "I actually broke up with Kevin and to vent my frustration... I went drinking at the club until I got drunk, without realising I was already in Kevin's apartment building and met Indra. But at first glance I thought Indra was Kevin, so-"
Dinda's frustration stopped when she saw her father who then patted her forehead, "Aish!!! That's it, that's it. Just stop your regret, Honey. Papa already knows the situation," Anggoro interrupted Dinda's explanation, "It's very embarrassing..."
Anggoro then shook his head as if he couldn't understand his son's behaviour. In contrast to Indra, who seemed surprised by Dinda's story, which was completely fabricated.
Until the next minute Anggoro again exhaled his rough breath trying to control himself. He looked at Indra with scorn, feeling so sorry for his only daughter who was impregnated by a man like Indra.
"Never mind, there's no more time. You have to get married," Anggoro ordered and then glared at Indra, "And you! Prepare yourself to work in this company."
