Ch. 36Do you love her?

"What should I do? If I go to that woman's place, she won't just let me go."

Indra let out a long sigh as he leaned his back against the shoulder of the taxi seat he was traveling in. Even though they had arrived at their destination, the man just stayed silent as if it were hard to get out of there.

"Sir, are you coming out? I have to find another passenger," said the taxi driver, who had been wondering about his passenger.

Indra gasped and got up from his seat. "Sorry, sir. I'll get off here."

Indra got out immediately after handing over a few bills for the taxi fare, and as soon as he got out, the taxi hit the gas again and left the area.

Indra just stared at the departing taxi car with a flat stare and then turned his face to stare at the towering apartment building in front of him.

"You're really troublesome. Even after Dinda gave you a decent place to live like this, you still want me, Sonia."

Indra paused again, seemingly unsure whether she should step into the building or even decide to leave according to her heart. But if she followed her heart, the situation would certainly get more complicated, and Sonia would not hesitate to make calculations with her and Dinda. Moreover, Dinda would also feel disappointed because Indra did not follow the flow of the agreement.

For a while, the man remained where he stood with his hands clenched, cursing the situation that was now suffocating him.

Drt... Drt...

In the middle of it, the vibration of a mobile phone managed to break his reverie. Indra reached for the phone, and immediately his face turned grim. He stared wide-eyed at the phone screen, which revealed a name he didn't want to see.

"Tsk! Impatient!"

Putting the phone back in his pocket without answering it, he began to walk into the building even though his heart and mind didn't want to go there.

Meanwhile, in a room, Sonia looked annoyed at the mobile phone screen that was emitting the operator's voice instead of the voice of the man she was waiting for.

"Where is he? How dare he wait and ignore me like this?"

She threw her mobile phone on the bed and grunted in annoyance at the anger welling up inside her.

"Maybe they tricked me! And they're together right now!?" She shouted in a trembling voice, shaking her head in an attempt to dismiss her own conjecture, even though it only made her situation worse.

"No, no. There's no way they could fool me. I have to make sure!"

The woman quickly got up and grabbed her small bag to walk towards the door, but the moment she opened the door, her movement stopped with both eyes widening.

"Y-you!?"

"Where's your husband? Papa needs to  talk."

Bathump!

For a moment, Dinda gasped at her father's question regarding the whereabouts of Indra, who was currently not with her.

"Ah! I-indra... Indra is still bathing, Pa. What's wrong? I'll tell him later," she replied slowly, trying to master the situation.

But Anggoro could be heard snickering as if annoyed, "No, Papa has to talk to him directly."

Dinda's tension was growing, she couldn't possibly give him her husband's mobile phone number because Indra was currently with another woman, nor did Anggoro ever have her number. She also didn't expect that her father would question her so soon.

Trying to control her thundering chest, Dinda replied, "I think it's still a while, Pa. My husband just came in when Papa called Dinda earlier."

"What a hassle! Yes, Papia will go there."

"What!? But. Pa-"

Pip!

Dinda's words were stifled when the phone line was cut off just like that. At that moment, panic began to engulf the woman.

"Shit! Why did Papa have to come here at all?" she grumbled as she got up from her seat.

She paced back and forth in front of her bed, biting her finger as if she were thinking hard about how to solve the problem.

"I don't want to get into trouble with Sonia if I contact Indra now," she murmured. "But what do I do!?"

Dinda continued to think with an occasional glance at the moving clock, but she never found a solution to the problem.

Meanwhile, in a different apartment, Sonia grinned as she saw the man standing in front of her room when she opened the door. Although the man's face looked grim,.

"You've finally come. Come in," Sonia invited as she moved to make way.

Without saying much more, Indra immediately stepped into the place with slow and cautious steps. Sonia noticed this and gave her a sardonic smile.

"This place is safe, you don't need to be afraid," she said, half annoyed.

Indra glared and chuckled. "I won't be here long, I'm just..."

"Tsk! You're overreacting, Indra. Did you forget that your own wife sent you here, so we have nothing to fear?" Sonia said and approached Indra, who was still standing there staring at her. "Isn't this a good opportunity for us?"

She slowly moved closer to him as her hands began to fumble with the buttons of his shirt. Sensing this, Indra swiftly brushed the hand away and immediately distanced himself.

"I told you not to mess with me, Sonia. I would never do that with you," Indra said firmly.

"Why!? After all, you wouldn't do anything with that woman either. You're just fake married, Indra!" Sonia responded to Indra's words loudly, making the reality of what was happening clear.

But Indra just smiled sarcastically and chuckled, looking at Sonia, who seemed to patronize the relationship between her and Dinda.

"You're wrong! Dinda and I did reach an agreement about our relationship. But the marriage is still valid, in the eyes of both the law and religion. So, don't expect me to betray that."

That remark made both of them silent for a moment. Sonia felt surprised and did not expect that Indra would say something like that about his marriage to Dinda. But she understood a little about Indra's nature, who never opposed anything related to law or religion, which made Sonia always feel admiration and regret her separation from him.

"You fool, Indra, you fool..."

Sonia's gaze towards Indra turned wide. Even though the woman had prepared herself to spend the night with the man she craved, she was also overconfident that Indra would not be too serious about his marriage to Dinda.

But it turned out that her assumption was wrong. Sonia saw a slight difference in Indra at this time. Especially when he mentioned his wife's name.

Sonia then narrowed her eyes and asked, "Do you love her? The woman who carried someone else's child?"
