Ch. 32sacred promises and warnings

"Wait! He's-" Indra's words trailed off as his gaze continued to narrow in an attempt to clarify his vision.

For an instant, that pair of eyes turned perfectly round as they realized something.

"S-sonia!?"

Indra immediately gasped at the sight of the woman who was wandering around the event hall wearing the same uniform as the catering staff.

"What is she doing here in that outfit!?" he screamed to himself, "Is she trying to..."

The man then shook his head as if to dispel the strange thoughts in his brain.

"No, no. She can't be planning something here, right? I have to make sure."

Indra was about to move away from the table when she heard the voice of the host, who was about to start the program.

Indra grunted in annoyance as she clenched her fists. "Damn it! I hope he doesn't mess up, especially in front of Mr. Anggoro's family," he muttered to himself.

"Alright, since the groom-to-be is hardly here, we'll start the main event soon."

The master of ceremonies then invited the invited guests to sit comfortably for the duration of the event. At that moment, Indra's face turned pale, along with the pounding of his heart.

Yes! The man looked a little nervous as all eyes were on him, so the trembling in his body was inevitable.

Indra then adjusted his breathing, which was choked up by some remarks from the headman. But Indra was relieved that his behavior would not be noticed by Dinda.

"I should still be grateful that Dinda chose to show up when the contract was over. I don't have to worry about her witnessing my stupidity," he mused.

Meanwhile, in the bride's dressing room, Dinda couldn't sit still at all, especially when she heard the host's voice saying that the ceremony was about to begin.

"Can Indra do it?" She murmured in anxiety, "Don't let him get nervous in the middle of the ijab. Papa will be disappointed."

Her anxiety grew as she imagined how disappointed her father would be if his future son-in-law showed any hesitation.

As the seconds and minutes passed, there was silence as Anggoro walked with his only daughter's hand towards the wedding altar. He gazed at his waiting son-in-law with a beaming face.

Dinda, meanwhile, continued to walk with her heart beating wildly while holding her father's arm tightly. As if trying to hide the nervousness that ran through her body.

Until a few moments later, after Anggoro escorted Dinda and left her to be with her future husband, they began to recite some sacred words that sounded so deep and romantic, and with the silence that was created,.

Immediately, there was clapping and cheering from the invited guests, who filled the entire event area. They seemed to rejoice as if they were happy with the marriage.

As for Anggoro, the middle-aged man looked downcast with tears streaming down his face. He was pensive and thought to himself, "Did you see this too? Finally, our daughter is getting married, darling. I'm sorry, I'm a bit whiny because I'm really happy that our little Dinda is all grown up and will be leaving me."

***

"I-sense... it worked?" Dinda seemed to raise both eyebrows as if to confirm this with the wedding organizer. officer who had been accompanying her in the room.

The officer just nodded and smiled, as if he were happy with the current situation.

Instantly, Dinda expressed her gratitude, unconsciously rubbing her stomach. "Thank God... you'll finally have a father, son," she said, unable to hold back the tears of emotion.

"Come, Miss. They're waiting. Now it's our turn to come out," the officer invited, extending his hand.

Dinda then immediately raised her head, trying to hold back the tears that were about to fall. Along with that came the voice of the host, who invited her to immediately present herself at the event.

With a long sigh, Dinda left the room by slightly lifting the dress she was wearing to make it easier for her to walk.

The pounding of her heart accompanied her steps towards the event hall. She descended the stairs accompanied by several attendants and the W.O., who held the tail of her dress.

Instantly, all the guests' eyes were on her.

"Ah! Those people are making me nervous," she thought to herself without fading the sweet smile she had been wearing.

Not only the guests... because even the man who was still at the ceremony table was now mesmerized by the bride's appearance. Yes! Indra reflexively got up when he saw the woman coming down the stairs with a deep gaze.

"Beautiful," he murmured involuntarily.

Indra, who had been mesmerized by Dinda's beauty since they first met, even though Dinda didn't wear much make-up, And now? The man was even more fascinated by Dinda's appearance, wearing a luxurious ivory-white dress, a neat hairdo with a luxurious Siger adorning her head, and makeup that was not so flashy. Anyone would be mesmerized by her, even women.

"Tsk! My daughter is indeed beautiful, and even though you are now legally husband and wife, I will not let you touch my daughter when she is pregnant with my grandchild."

Bathump!

The sound of that voice made Indra gasp! He turned his face away and stared at his father-in-law in astonishment.

But Anggoro just snorted harshly without speaking again. He then looked back at Dinda with teary eyes, feeling the emotion that continued to overcome him.

I don't know what was going through the old man's mind about what he had said, because no matter how old his daughter was now and even though she already had a husband, he was still not willing to hand over all of his daughter's responsibilities to a man of Dinda's choice.

Anggoro lowered his head and reached into his coat pocket for a handkerchief to wipe away his stagnant tears. Then he stepped back and approached his son-in-law.

"I'm warning you! don't think you have my daughter completely. Because if you hurt her in the slightest, I'll make sure you never see your wife or child again," he whispered.

That startled Indra again, but the man didn't seem the least bit threatened. Instead, he returned his smile and looked at his father-in-law with confidence.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of your daughter and grandchildren with my whole life. I'll guarantee it," he replied.

Anggoro stared intently at his son-in-law, not seeing the slightest hesitation in him until the old man returned with a sardonic smile and said, "I hope you hold true to your word."
