Knock, knock, knock!
"Dinda? Are you asleep?"
Dinda, who was still lost in her reverie, suddenly blinked and tried to wake up as she turned her eyes to the door of her room that her father kept knocking on.
"I-iya, Pa? Not yet. Just come in."
But at that moment, Dinda gasped again, she certainly couldn't show that she was thinking about something. Until finally, the woman racked her brains and looked for something else to do. Just as she turned her head to the side, she saw a novel book lying on the nightstand that she occasionally read in her spare time.
"Ah! Right..." Without thinking, Dinda quickly grabbed the novel and opened it as if she were reading it.
Soon the door opened and revealed a middle-aged man still wearing his work shirt. He stepped into his daughter's room with a warm smile, despite being tired from a long day of managing the company.
"What are you doing? Why aren't you sleeping?"
Dinda, who seemed to be engrossed in her reading, turned her head and immediately smiled. "Papa!" she greeted, and she glanced at the wall clock to make sure. "Did you come home late?"
Anggoro pulled out a chair from his daughter's dressing table and sat down. The man sighed as if to express the tiredness he was feeling.
"Yes, Papa has been busy meeting with clients lately," he replied briefly.
"Oh! The one from out of town?" responded Dinda, which was confirmed by Anggoro's nod.
Then Dinda immediately bent her eyebrows with a regretful look on her face, "I'm sorry, Pa... when the company was busy, I couldn't even help Papa."
For a moment, Dinda's mood didn't seem good and her face looked depressed because of it, but a moment later Anggoro smiled warmly and rubbed his daughter's back while saying, "That's okay , Honey. Don't think about it too much, just think about your wedding and... take care of your health."
Dinda just nodded slowly and fell silent, even though Anggoro didn't mind it but still Dinda felt uncomfortable if she made her father struggle alone and she was only busy taking care of personal matters.
In the midst of Dinda's silence, Anggoro remembered something and quickly said, "That's right, how was the event this afternoon? Everything went well, right? Did you get the dress you wanted? And what about the service at Papa's friend's boutique? Were they rude to you?"
"Erm, it's going well, Pa," she replied in surprise. "They're friendly and... nice too."
Yes! Anggoro seemed to be in good spirits as he asked several questions that seemed to go on and on, leaving Dinda confused instead of answering them immediately. Although the wedding seemed impromptu and quite complicated, especially since Anggoro didn't really like his future son-in-law, it was clear that Anggoro was enjoying every bit of the process because this was the wedding of his only child that he had always wanted.
"Ah! That's good." Anggoro nodded, indicating that he was satisfied.
But despite that, there was still something that made his mind feel stuck. Yes! It was none other than Indra, who suddenly excused himself to leave for a while but never returned.
Dinda let out a long sigh while muttering to herself, "Yes, although I don't know what made Indra leave just like that."
For a moment, Dinda was silent. She still did not understand what had happened to her future husband. Although it was none of her business because Indra was only her fake husband, it still made Dinda feel curious and want to know.
"Dinda?"
Anggoro suddenly waved his hand when he saw his daughter, who was lost in her reverie, so in that second, Dinda blinked her eyes and glared as if very surprised.
"Ah, yes! Papa..." The woman was instantly unable to control herself, her gesture looked very strange until finally, only a rough exhale was all she could do.
Anggoro, who seemed to understand the situation, decided to give in.
"Alright, it looks like you're tired," Anggoro said, then got up from his seat and said, "Stop reading it and rest."
Without lingering any longer, Anggoro hurriedly left the room, even though he still felt worried about his son. Meanwhile, Dinda just smiled and stared at her father's back as he moved further away and stopped right at the doorway. Her smile returned just before the old man closed the door.
"Good night, Honey..."
Again, Dinda just smiled and nodded in response to her father's words.
At that moment, Dinda sighed again, although she did not feel too relieved.
"Hah... Good night, Pa."
Yes! Somehow, the woman felt guilty towards her own father, even though she herself did not know what she was actually doing at the moment.
Meanwhile, Anggoro right when he came out of his only daughter's room, immediately felt uncomfortable and even felt that there was something strange that was being experienced by Dinda. The man was silent for a moment before he descended the stairs.
"I think I need to confirm something," he muttered as his hand reflexively reached into his trouser pocket and pulled out a mobile phone.
His fingers deftly operated the flat object until he finally brought it to his ear as if he were contacting someone.
["Yes, hello, sir?"]
There was a baritone voice from the other side that was so firm in greeting the leader's phone call.
"Yes, please send someone to keep an eye on my future daughter-in-law. Report to me her every move."

"Oh my!" Indra gasped, rising instantly from his bed. "What are you doing!?"
In the midst of that situation, the woman's figure actually looked relaxed without even hesitating to waltz into the room deeper and approach Indra.
Indra, who looked panicked, immediately changed his position to sit as if he were on guard. "Stop and don't come any closer, Sonia!"
"Oh my! You're too much!" Sonia still continued her steps until she was right near the bed and looked at Indra seductively.
Sonia then paused and sat on the edge of the bed, clucking as if she were annoyed with the man in front of her.
"Do you really have the heart for me?"
Indra, who was surprised, furrowed his brow, trying to guess while still trying to be alert. Even the trembling in her body was clearly visible. His mind was again filled with ambiguous things.
Indra was still confused by the sudden presence of his ex-girlfriend, plus when Sonia wanted to stay at his house, it already made his mind so chaotic. And now?
"What do you mean, didn't I let you stay here?"
Sonia continued to snarl in annoyance like a child who was crying to her mother.
"Seriously! I was told to sleep on a chair."
