Ch. 23Surrendering oneself

The car driven by Yatno finally arrived at the estimated hospital. He quickly parked the car in the space provided.

Sarah got out as soon as Yatno opened the car door for her. "Thank you," she said with a faint smile.

"You're welcome, ma'am," Yatno replied politely. The man then walked behind Sarah after he finished locking the car door. He pocketed the key in his pants pocket.

Sarah let it go as she was sure this was Aditya's order. She then walked to the left, where the payment counter was located. "Excuse me, ma'am!" she greeted politely. Yatno stood behind her.

The female counter clerk then raised her gaze up to where Sarah was. "Yes, Ma'am. Can I help you?" she asked politely, smiling back.

"I wanted to settle the payment on behalf of patient Marni Hayati. But, I don't have any cash with me. Can I pay via transfer?" Sarah asked politely.

"Just a moment, ma'am. I'll check first!" said the officer kindly. She immediately turned her attention to the computer screen, then typed in the name in question. "Do you have a patient card or ID card?" she asked without looking at Sarah.

"Here, ma'am," said Sarah as she thrust her patient ID card in front of the officer. She even looked at the woman with anxious expectation.

The officer then took the card, then returned to typing the identity number listed there. Soon the woman turned to Sarah and smiled politely. "The treatment fee for the patient has been paid, Ma'am. Including the cost while being treated in the VVIP room of this hospital. So there is nothing that needs to be paid again. Even the cost of medicines has been paid in full," he said as he rose to his feet. He also handed back Marni's patient identification card.

Sarah was startled, her eyes even wide open with a slightly open mouth which she immediately covered with both hands. The woman immediately cleared her throat to more or less cover her surprise. "Really, Ma'am?" she asked a little incredulously.

"It's true, ma'am. How could I lie!" the officer said, grumbling slightly.

"But who paid it off?" asked Sarah, getting nervous.

"Hold on... I'll check first. Just a moment, ma'am," pleaded the officer who looked back at the computer screen, then typed something in.

Sarah just nodded clumsily. She really didn't expect that when she was about to fall into disgraceful behavior, Allah's help would come to her at just the right moment. The woman was endlessly grateful because with this she and Satria would be free from Aditya's snares. A smile of relief even spread across her face, which was caught by Yatno who saw the reflection of her face in the glass of the counter in front.

The man then took out his cell phone and typed a message to his employer about what had just happened. However, the message he sent was not delivered because Aditya was still on the plane. Yatno immediately put the cell phone back into his pants pocket because he was sure that when his employer arrived at the airport, he would definitely contact him. Moreover, he had been instructed to take Sarah and Satria to the employer's apartment before taking them to London.

"How is it, Ma'am?" asked Sarah again, a little urgently when she saw that the officer was still focused on the computer screen.

"Hmmm... the one who paid off was someone by the name of Servant of Allah," the officer said, frowning. "That's all, ma'am, the information I received. It matches the data that appears on my computer screen. But, I don't know who the person is. I apologize!" she said regretfully.

"It's okay, Ma'am. Thank God if there are kind-hearted people who want to help my mother who needs surgery," said Sarah with relief.

"Yes, ma'am. Alhamdulillah," concluded the officer again.

"Thank you, Ma'am," Sarah said with sincerity and relief. She had even forgotten that Yatno was behind her. She was a little taken aback when she saw the driver, who had previously been the gardener at her ex-husband's private residence, where she and Satria had lived.

"After this, where are we going, ma'am?" asked Yatno politely.

Sarah looked awkward when asked such a question. She was at a loss as to how to respond to this. "Mu-maybe you can go home first! Because I have to take care of mom here," she pleaded trying to buy time.

"Sorry, ma'am. Unfortunately I was instructed by Master to bring Madam and Young Master after Madam's business is done.So I apologize if I am not willing to follow your orders," Yatno said politely. The man then walked forward, until Sarah had to walk backwards. Until her back hit the wall beside the counter.

"No-" Sarah was about to scream, but Yatno had already put a penknife to her stomach, so she couldn't continue.

"Sorry, ma'am. I had to do it because these are your orders. Come on, ma'am! Please come with me to pick up Young Master because your business is done, not here!" she commanded firmly as she grabbed Sarah's left arm, then led her towards the exit.

Sarah was forced to obey, as she was afraid of the man who was just as crazy as her employer. With shaky steps, Sarah followed Yatno's footsteps.

Right at the corner leading to the hospital lobby, the two passed Hilman who was wide-eyed when he saw Sarah being dragged away by a man with a fierce face and a scar on his left cheek. The man hurriedly ran over to the two, where a look of relief came over the woman's face.

"Sorry, Mas... how come my future wife was dragged like that?" asked Hilman slightly reprimandingly, until both Sarah and Yatno were forced to stop their footsteps. The man stood in front of them, trying to get in the way.

Yatno was not happy to see a handsome man getting in the way of his duties this time. "Who's Mas, huh?" he asked curtly. Reluctant to release his hold on Sarah's arm.

"I'm the future husband of Sarah, aka the woman you're holding. So... can you remove that hand from my future wife's arm?! Don't you see that my future wife looks uncomfortable being held like that!" rebuked Hilman again, getting even more annoyed when he saw that the man in front of him was reluctant to obey his orders. Especially when he saw the look of begging for help that Sarah showed, it made him even more convinced that there was something wrong with the man with the fierce face in front of him.

"You can't confess!" rebuked Yatno as he released his hand, then walked over to Hilman with his eyes glaring.

"I'm not confessing. I'm telling the truth that I'm the future husband of the woman behind you," said Hilman with a simple smile. "If you don't believe me, you can ask the person concerned who I really am!"
