The two loving human rested in the hut after making love for the rest of the night. A white mosquito net surrounded them, and the sounds of the night animals were like a lullaby for the two exhausted lovers. Surprisingly, Briana doesn't feel frightened being in the middle of the wild, where they might be preyed upon by hungry beasts. Maybe it was because she was with Sean Brosnan here. Briana was pretty sure Sean wouldn't let anything bad happen to her during her time with the king of the jungle.
The soft purr that escaped Sean's lips made Briana chuckle in amusement. Leaning against the man's hard, solid chest, Briana closed her eyes and tried to fall into a sweet dream with her lover. However, it was difficult for her to fall asleep as the high after lovemaking kept her awake. Briana's mind was filled with Sean's every intimate caress that was still so imprinted all over her body. The soft caresses of his tongue, his moans, his sweat, and his deep piercing passion—all of it couldn't stop spinning in Briana's head!
Despite feeling limp and satisfied in her lover's warm embrace, Briana honestly couldn't get enough. Sean and his passion are a new surprise for her. It's hard for Briana not to become maniacal about Sean; even just hearing the sound of his heartbeat makes her throb.
“Gosh, is this the real Briana Tanner Clooney?"
"Have I been a flirtatious and naughty woman for the past ten years?"
"Oh, I hope not. I only like being flirty with Sean Brosnan; no one else."
After debating with herself, at the end of the night, Briana finally managed to fall asleep. But unfortunately, the same nightmare stalked her sleep again. It was terrible and terrifying. Now the flames were no longer surrounding the bed, but they were burning down a house that was right in front of Briana. The fire raged and devoured the building. Briana was trembling and terrified. Her eyeballs were filled with flames that were consuming the house more and more, leaving almost nothing left. Briana's breath caught in her throat, and she was completely unable to scream for help.
A voice came to Briana's mind: Run, Anna! Run! However, Briana's feet were stuck on the short grass, and she couldn't move at all. Briana's tears fell as her whole body trembled and broke out in cold sweat.
Run Anna!
The voice came again, and suddenly I could move Briana's legs. Briana was about to run away from the growing fire, but suddenly someone appeared and blocked her.
"Murderer!" he accused. "You're a murderer!"
Briana gasped in shock.
"No, I'm not the one who—"
"Yes! You're the one who burned your entire family."
"My family? They were in the burning house."
Briana froze. It was like her life had just been ripped out of her by that sentence. She quickly turned around and found the house that had been on fire had now turned to ashes, then suddenly a lighter Briana found in her grasp. She gasped and immediately threw the lighter away. Briana turned her head to look at the person who had just pointed at her, but that figure had disappeared somewhere.
Briana beat her chest repeatedly. She was devastated by what she saw.
With trembling legs, Briana stepped back while muttering, "I'm a murderer."
"No, I'm not a murderer! I couldn't possibly have the heart to wipe out my family."
Briana lamented the nightmare. She kept suggesting herself. As usual, what she saw was just a nightmare disturbing her sleep. There was no fire, no murder; her whole family was alive, and Briana just needed to wake up from this damned dream!
Sean...
The name suddenly popped into Briana's head. She tried hard to shout the man's name so that he could help her wake up from this horrible dream. Briana screamed and screamed until finally a glimmer of sound appeared as she woke up.
"Sean!!!"
Briana found herself sitting on the bed. Her whole body was drenched in cold sweat, and she was shaking.
The man whose name she had just called appeared in a hurry and went straight to her. Sean held Briana's body and tried to be calm as he asked, "Are you okay, Pearl?"
Briana gulped with difficulty. She hugged Sean's large body very tightly. Briana was having a dream that was scaring the shit out of her. She was afraid of her own shadow. Of what she had done in the past.
"I'm a killer." The words slipped from Briana's lips with a sob.
Sean's body stiffened, but he slowly acted normally as if he couldn't believe what Briana had just said, "Did you have another nightmare?" Sean asked while summarizing Briana's face.
Briana nodded slowly. "I saw a house on fire. And someone said that my family was there, and then I..." Briana's breath caught in her throat; unable to continue her sentence,
"What happened?" Sean asked carefully.
"I found a lighter in my hand!"
Sean exhaled slowly, then with both hands he smoothed Briana's messy hair. Briana was silent and still so frightened that not even Sean's protective touch could calm her from her nightmare this time.
"This is too much, Anna," Sean said. "I understand you think those dreams are little fragments of your lost memories, but you can't accept that everything isn't necessarily what's there."
"Yes, it could be. But Sean-"
"You don't need to be scared like this Pearl; I'm sure you're not a murderer," Sean pressed.
Briana looked into his dark eyes. "How can you be so sure?" she asked.
"Because I believe you." Sean cupped both of Briana's hands over his palms. "These hands can't hurt animals, let alone the family you care about so much."
Briana was touched and immediately hugged the man tightly. In a way, he had managed to dispel her fears. Briana felt better even though she couldn't forget the nightmare that had befallen her just a moment ago...
"Thank you," she whispered.
Sean lightly kissed Briana's shoulder. "I love you, Pearl."
“Oh, me too," Briana whispered. "I love him so much it's almost crazy to think how I would be without you." I would have died in such a terrible state and not had the chance to get to know a man as perfect as him, Briana continued silently.
"Stop crying, how about we go back to the lake?"
Briana's eyebrows shot up. "It's still early," she said.
Sean turned to look out the wide open window. "Yeah, I can see that." Briana snorted with amusement, "We can bathe in the lake; you can swim, right?" asked Sean.
Oh, of course Briana could swim. She got good academic marks in swimming during her school days. You could say she was an expert.
Seeing Briana's face turn haughty made Sean chuckle softly and then bring his face closer to kiss those intoxicatingly beautiful lips.
Briana returned the embrace while combing Sean's thick hair with her fingers. The man who embraced her managed to change Briana's bad mood for the better.
"I think Sean Brosnan has magical powers in his kisses."
And the jungle king's laughter exploded in Briana's mouth.
