Every second of Lisa's life began to change. Everyone was watching her. Everyone was so happy, Lisa found it hard to hide her sad face. She couldn't even do any work, she was so spoiled.
Arka guided Lisa into the room. Letting her lie down was all she wanted to do at the moment.
"Ka, I'll become a mummy if I'm told to lie down all the time."
"Right, told to rest a lot."
"Rest doesn't have to be lying down. I can sit, relax, read a book. The important thing is that I can't do heavy work."
Arka remained indifferent, just pecking Lisa's forehead.
"Oh yeah, I can pick up Farrel later, right?" Lisa asked.
"No. Don't go anywhere first. Your pregnancy is still young and your condition is also very vulnerable. If I say don't move and work, then don't. Farrel can go home with Kardi."
Possessive. Her husband was starting to show his sweet side again. He really made Lisa unable to move from the bed.
"Yes-yes," Lisa said, obeying.
After straightening his shirt and tying his tie, Arka put on his socks and shoes. He approached Lisa to give her a peck on the forehead.
"If there's anything, call me right away. By the way, when is the next check-up?"
"In three days."
"Okay. I'm off, honey."
Lisa just smiled. Once she was sure he was gone, she reached into the drawer of the small bedside cabinet, grabbing a few packets of medicine.
She quickly downed a few pills with a glass of water by her side. When she was done, she reached for her cell phone to call Suga.
"Yes, Lisa," Suga called from the other side.
"I already told my husband that I'm going to have a check-up during my pregnancy at Eka Hospital. You have to be smart to keep it a secret!"
"Your husband is also a doctor, he's not stupid, Lisa. How long do you want to hide this? Wait until seven months? I don't even know if you can survive or if your fetus can't."
"Ih, don't be pessimistic. I'm just excited like this."
"I'm just worried about your condition, Lisa."
"Don't be so anxious. Later you can fallin love with me. Where is your wife?"
"You didn't ask if my wife is still there or not."
"Sorry, I don't know. When? Why did she die?"
"She's still alive, Lisa, just divorced."
"Haha. You're so ambiguous."
"You bastard!"
"Already, ah, if you want to check up, I'll call you. By the way, do you know Dr. Grace from Raztan Hospital?"
"No, I don't. In the gynecology department, I only know Dr. Friska."
Lisa put down the phone after the conversation. A sigh helped her to calm down. From now on, there would be many lies just to keep the fetus in her womb.
The baby-to-be was the light that would illuminate the Wijaya family, especially Frans. Her life would be complete, no matter if she could get through it. Lisa just smiled as she continued to rub her stomach.
'Hang in there, honey. I will take care of you.'

Farrell stood in front of the teak-doored room. He had never been home early before, but Arka had left the hospital early today. It was a sweet moment when Farrel knew that his father was spoiling the little brother who was in his mother's womb.
Farrel was discouraged and left them. Not to be disturbed by the sweet love between his parents.
"I brought you fruit, why don't you want some?" asked Arka.
Lisa shook her head. She was still devouring the piece of cake Sumi had just brought into her room. "I don't want to eat fruit anymore. You didn't ask me what I wanted."
Arka smiled happily as he pinched Lisa's cheeks. "I want to see these cheeks get chubby every month."
Lisa pursed her lips. She still remembered, Arka always anticipated that she had to maintain her ideal body shape.
"Are you sure? Is it okay if I get fat?" Lisa teased.
"Still beautiful, really."
Arka untied his tie and unfastened the two buttons on his shirt.
Lacking a quick shower, Arka lay down and rested his head on Lisa's lap. Spooning into the twilight. Lisa plays with her husband's jet-black hair, filling the space between her fingers. It was so soft and warm.
"Sleepy."
Lisa smiled a little. Not wanting her husband to be late for his shower, she playfully pinched the side of Arka's waist.
The man rolled around on the bed in excitement. He was breathing heavily because he couldn't resist his wife's antics. He laughed half to death.
"Ouch, already. Yeah, here to take a shower."
Lisa pursed her lips to get a sweet peck from her husband.
Arka smiled as he rubbed his wife's cheek. "So spoiled, I'm sure it's a girl."
"That's good, she'll be as pretty as me."
Arka gave in to his wife's nosiness. He went to the toilet to freshen up.
Afterward, Lisa left the room and immediately entered her son's room.
She stood at the door and watched as her beloved son sat on the bed. He loved to read. Several automotive magazines were around the blanket. The red cover with the black ducati was what he was reading now.
"May I come in?" nagged Lisa as she knocked on the door.
Farrel only smiled slightly to greet his mother. Lisa really missed Farrel. Arka guarded her so tightly that it was difficult to get out of bed. She hugged Farrel and sat side by side.
"I miss you, Mama," Farrel said.
"Really?" Lisa smiled playfully as she turned to Farrel.
The little guy just nodded while rubbing Lisa's belly. "I'm going to be a big brother, Mom?"
Farrel hugged her even tighter. How he feared he would lose the love of his parents. He knew the truth that he was not their biological son. Only Arka and Lisa loved him sincerely in this house. If one day the presence of a small baby could take that away, Farrel would feel very sad.
"Yes. Help me take care of your little brother later, okay?"
