"Are we going back tonight?" Hero asked Peter as he went through some important files.
"Yes, sir."
Hero nodded. "I see, you can go."
After Peter left his hotel room, Hero stopped working, took off his glasses, and massaged his temples. Today was very tiring for Hero, there was a lot of work she had to finish.
Fortunately, all the cooperation Hero had to do in Country M went well. There were no obstacles, and everything went smoothly. With Hero's skills, the customers who work with him are very satisfied and have no complaints.
Despite her young age, Hero's business skills are exceptional. She was recently honored as the most influential young man in her country.
His handsome face is plastered on the cover of business and financial magazines. Girls adore him, parents want to be his son-in-law, and older adults wish he were their grandson.
When she met Harry this afternoon, Hero took the time to take a picture with Harry. After hearing from the ice cream vendor that their faces were similar, she thought that Hero and Harry were a father-and-son pair.
At first, Hero wants to take a picture of Harry; her curiosity about their resemblance makes Hero uncomfortable. However, Harry suggested that they take a picture together instead.
Since meeting Harry, Hero had felt a sense of familiarity with him. She did not know what it was, but she felt they had a connection. There was a glimmer of hope in Hero's heart for the boy.
"I wish you were my son, Harry."
Hero had never had a relationship with anyone other than Anna. So, if Harry really was his son, Hero was very sure that it was with Anna.
After the events of that night, Hero was unable to find Anna, and 5 years had passed. With Harry's age, if they managed to produce a child that night. Then, Harry and the child would be the same age.
Hero had actually done a lot of searching in this M-country over the past five years. But his efforts were always in vain, and he never got any information. It was as if someone with a high wall was trying to prevent Hero from finding Anna.
Hero doesn't know who is protecting Anna, but if Harry can hide all traces of Anna from Hero, then that person must not be ordinary. The person Harry called Uncle Sam was the person Hero currently suspected to be the culprit.
Seeing Sam's aura at that time, Hero could feel that Sam was not an ordinary person. He had an intimidating aura that was enough to scare many people, but of course, it would not affect Hero at all.
A few days later, Hero returned to her hometown.
"You've worked hard, go home and rest."
"Yes, sir. Be careful on the road."
Hero and Peter parted ways at the airport, and Hero walked to the car waiting for her outside the airport. With his handsome and dashing face, many eyes were watching Hero. They seemed to see in Hero a young, rich, and handsome CEO that was often found in novels.
Ignoring all the attention on him, Hero continued to walk steadily forward without looking back.
"Oh, Uncle." A familiar cute voice sounded behind Hero's back, making her turn her head to look for the source of the sound.
However, Hero did not find the person she was looking for, and for a moment, She thought, "Maybe Harry has come to this land, too."
Hero tried searching again with her eyes, but she could not find anything. Several young women exclaimed loudly as Hero looked in their direction. Even though they knew he was not looking at them, the young women were excited, for they had managed to see the perfect sculpture of Hero's face.
"Maybe I heard wrong," Hero muttered.
Hero got into his car and drove away from the airport. After seeing him off, Harry and Anna revealed themselves. Harry looked at Anna strangely, as if they were hiding from something, but Harry did not know what it was.
"Mom, why are we hiding?" Harry asked in surprise.
Anna shook her head. "No, I saw a ghost there. That's why I told you to hide."
Harry looked at Anna in surprise. "Mom, you're afraid of ghosts."
Anna was confused; she had always taught Harry that there were no ghosts in this world and that they were not real, so there was no point in being afraid of ghosts. Anna forgot to say that.
She was too panicked after seeing Hero earlier, especially after Harry loudly called him uncle. Anna immediately pulled Harry behind a large pillar to hide her slim self and Harry's small body.
"No, it's just that the ghost was really ugly. That's why I'm scared," Anna replied.
"Really, the ghost was really ugly."
Anna nodded with a look of conviction that made Harry believe her immediately. Anna decided to return to the country to attend her best friend's wedding; it was actually hard for Anna to set foot on the land that had once disappointed her.
"Anna, Harry," Karen called.
Karen had been Anna's best friend during her previous stay in the country. Since Anna lived alone in this country, Anna had thought of Karen as her sister.
"Karen." Anna hugged Karen tightly.
Anna had not seen Karen since Anna had left and given birth to Harry at the age of four. This was their first meeting in so long. Anna missed Karen terribly.
"Anna, I missed you so much. It's a good thing you came to my wedding, otherwise I would have been really mad at you," Karen said irritably.
Anna laughed, even though she hadn't seen Karen in five years. Karen hadn't changed at all; she was as talkative as ever. Gone was her teenage face; now, Karen's face was more mature and graceful.
"The proof is that I didn't come to introduce Harry, my son."
Anna pulled Harry closer. "Harry, say hello to Aunt Karen."
Harry smiled sweetly as he waved his chubby hand. "Hello Aunt Karen, I'm Harry."
Karen exclaimed loudly as she saw Harry's handsome and adorable face; he was so cute that Karen could not resist hugging him. "Gosh, Harry, you are even more adorable in the real life."
