Ch. 33She Make Me Crazy

Soraya didn't know whether Joshua Andrew was at home, because the car garage was tightly closed.

However, the house lights were on, indicating that someone was inside.

Soraya took a deep breath before pressing the doorbell button attached to the wall near the door.
She waited and waited until he finally heard someone turning the door lock before opening it.

“G-good evening," said Soraya, trying to be friendly with a small, stiff smile. Sure enough, Soraya was reunited with an old woman who started looking at her with a flat face.

“Evening. What do you need?" the woman asked flatly as she examined Soraya carefully.

“Um... I want to meet Joshua Andrew. Is he at home?” Soraya answered honestly while still trying to smile friendly.

“Mr "Franklin hasn't been home since last Saturday," the woman answered quickly.

“Saturday? D-did he say where he was going? When do you think he'll be coming home?” Soraya asked directly, didn't realize that the woman standing in front of him didn't seem to like the question he asked.

Hearing that Joshua Andrew had not come home since their meeting shocked Soraya beyond belief.

“I have no right to ask where Mr. Franklin's gone," said the woman flatly, showing her loyalty to Joshua Andrew .

“Oh, maaf. Bolehkah saya titip pesan?” ujar Soraya sopan.

“"Please call him on his cell phone number if you have any urgent needs," stressed the woman, as if telling him to go home immediately.

“"Okay," said Soraya, feeling guilty for expressing her curiosity without paying attention to who she was talking to.

Without waiting for her to say goodbye, the woman immediately closed the door right in front of Soraya's face.

She was shocked to receive such cold and rejection treatment.

After being silent for a few seconds to calm herself, Soraya finally decided to take her cell phone out of her bag.

Soraya typed Joshua Andrew's name in the contact list, which she got from Kevin. For a moment, Soraya thought about what words she should use to greet the man.

Hi? Hello? How are you? Or, where are you now? thought Soraya confused and doubtful.

He stared at the name Joshua Andrew for a few moments on the cellphone screen, and decided to put it back in his bag.

No. Soraya will never be able to send messages to Joshua Andrew like a friend.

No, because Soraya needed to look at the man, hear his voice directly, and catch every change in Joshua Andrew's facial expression clearly.

Yes, Soraya really needs to meet Joshua Andrew in person so she can see whether he will really handle her case.

Finally, Soraya turned around and walked away from the door of the house. She doesn't know when Joshua Andrew will return, but Soraya will still wait.

Soraya walked back to the station. He didn't want to go anywhere anymore. He had been outside the house for almost 12 hours, and now it was time to rest. He needed to gather energy so he could work the next day.

*****

It was already dark, in fact it was almost midnight when they arrived home. Martha, who already knew of his arrival, immediately opened the door and greeted them with a warm smile. Five days have passed since Soraya arrived at her house, and during that time Joshua Andrew managed to divert his mind from that woman.

Lucky Mr. Neandro gave him a small case that he had to take care of.

A case that doesn't require a lot of effort because Mr. Neandro only asked him to take care of someone who was trying to hurt Alexa, Mr. Neandro.

He didn't understand why there were still crazy men trying to chase Alexa Neandro, when everyone knew that the woman was married to Wade.

But what made him unable to understand was how this crazy man managed to break into Alexa's house and intended to kill Wade.

Finally, he and Mors succeeded in eliminating the crazy man in an instant without a trace.

And after arranging various scenarios so that there would be no incriminating evidence or accusations for the Neandro family, Joshua Andrew finally returned home.

Currently, Joshua Andrew's feelings are calm and peaceful.

So calm that he was sure that he would not be tempted again even if he had to meet Soraya again. There was no longer an image of the woman's face in his mind.

There was also no wild desire that forced him to inhale Soraya's scent.

“"Good evening, sir," said Martha kindly before closing the door behind her.

“Evening," said Joshua Andrew briefly and flatly, immediately heading for the kitchen carrying his suitcase.

Martha, who knew his habit of always drinking a glass of orange juice before getting into bed, immediately opened the refrigerator and served the juice into a glass.

Joshua Andrew put the suitcase beside the kitchen table, then took the glass and drank from it.

The taste was cold, fresh, sweet with a little sourness, touching his tongue perfectly.

He tasted the remaining sweet taste on the tip of his tongue, enjoying the sensation of the combination of flavors for a few moments before deciding to drink the juice until it was finished.

The freshness of the juice at least erased some of the tiredness in his body. He just put the glass down, then Martha took the glass and washed it.

The medicines that had been prepared before he arrived home had been placed in the container as usual.

Joshua Andrew took the container, then got up from behind the kitchen table. Joshua Andrew had just pulled his suitcase and was about to climb the stairs, suddenly Martha cleared her throat slightly.

“Sir," called Martha quietly. Joshua Andrew stopped in his tracks, then turned to look at the woman.

“What's wrong, Martha?” Joshua Andrew asked quickly.

“That's it, sir. "Last Monday a woman came here looking for you," said Martha calmly. “I told him to contact you straight away, because you weren't at home. I just wanted to make sure if the lady had contacted you, sir? Because it seems that woman is having trouble.”

Joshua Andrew listened carefully, wondering who Martha was talking about. Until now, not a single woman has contacted him.

However, Joshua Andrew could catch a hint of worry on Martha's face.

He had never seen Martha care that much about someone, especially someone she didn't know.

“Who's he?" asked Joshua Andrew curiously.

"The woman who came last Saturday, sir," answered Martha quickly.

“Soraya?” said Joshua Andrew in disbelief.

The mention of the woman's name on his lips immediately aroused the strange turmoil he had been trying to suppress.

The strong thump in his chest seemed to show that his efforts to forget that woman were completely unsuccessful.

It turned out that Soraya's image had only been sleeping in his mind for the past few days.

And when he said Soraya's name, suddenly wild passion surged within him again.
