Ch. 1Chapter 1

The lavish and grand wedding was almost over. There were smiles on the faces of the bride and groom who were busy shaking hands and thanking their guests for coming to their wedding.
Bianca, commonly called Bia, became the most beautiful woman at this event. In a beautiful and luxurious bone-white wedding dress, she couldn’t stop giving thanks for the good fortune of suddenly being married to the handsome and rich man beside her, named Erlangga Bimantara, a CEO of a construction company whose name was familiar.
“Erlang!” shouted one of the invited guests as they were about to leave the aisle. They turned to the voice and gave her a friendly smile.
“Luna ... who are you here with?” Erlang asked the guest. The equally beautiful female guest hugged and kissed Erlang’s left and right cheeks.

It looked so close. Bia frowned in displeasure. The man who was now her husband was so warmly welcoming the woman named Aluna. Not wanting to decorate her bad thoughts, Bia took a deep breath, then let it out furiously. Thinking positively, maybe they were relatives or maybe friends. “I was driven by the driver. My husband is out of town,” the woman replied. Bia was now able to smile again; it turned out that the woman who had been hugging her husband had a husband too.
“Congratulations, Lang! I’m happy for you,” Luna said with a pained face. Erlang looked sadly at the woman and gave a thin smile without answering her. As for Bia, she continued to give Aluna a big smile, hoping to get to know the woman who was now able to distract her husband from her. “Hello, I’m Luna!” Aluna released her hug with Erlang and now greeted Bia. She also hugged and kissed Bia’s left and right cheeks.
Including a friendly woman, Bia also welcomed her warmly. “Thank you for coming!”

“You’re welcome,” Luna gave them both a big smile. “Then I’ll take my leave first!”

“Why the rush?” asked Erlang, holding back his hand. Erlang’s sharp, meaningful gaze at Luna seemed to bother Bia greatly.

Luna shook her head softly. “The event is over, Lang. Besides, I left my son at home.”

“You should have invited Zio earlier!”

“He wasn’t feeling well. Anyway, I’ll say goodbye first!” Luna hugged Erlang again.

Erlang hugged her for too long as if he was reluctant to let go. Their eyes were both closed, enjoying the moment. However, Luna immediately pushed him away. She also said a friendly goodbye to Bia.
***
In this spacious, rose-petaled bridal room, Bia waited for Erlang on the edge of the bed. She didn’t want to spoil the beauty of the roses that were scattered beautifully on her bed.
Thumping. Even though this is not their first night. Yes, Bia met Erlang while at the club where her husband often spent his nights. Erlang was Bia’s first guest, as well as the man who had bought her an expensive crown. Virginity that Bia was willing to sell for the sake of her future life because her father stumbled upon a corruption case and all assets had been confiscated.

Erlang’s offer to become his wife was a breath of fresh air for Bia. The man was like a god who promised to provide all the facilities that Bia asked for. This made her no longer need to sell herself to men out there.

“Have you been waiting for me for long?” Erlang suddenly came to open the door to her room. Bia smiled in embarrassment as she greeted him. “No, Lang!”

Erlang cleared his throat and opened the tuxedo he was wearing. Bia stood up and helped her husband. Her cheeks looked pink.

“Let’s repeat our second night!” Erlang whispered in Bia’s ear. She hid her embarrassed face as she nodded.

Erlang lifted his wife’s chin and gave her a soft peck on the lips. Carrying her to the bed and turning off all the lights until the room became dim, which added to the warmth.

Actually, Bia was uncomfortable with this atmosphere. Only one sleeping lamp made her unable to see her husband’s handsome face. However, the touch Erlang gave her was able to change her feelings this time.

Bia’s sighs and moans in this dim room made Erlang even crazier. Their union is able to make the cold temperature in this room hot. Sweat soaked their bodies. Oxygen feels increasingly reduced, so that breathing becomes irregular. Their union is really crazy. It took a long time for Bia to keep up with her husband.

Until Erlang let out a long groan, collapsed on her chest as the end of it all and called out the name, “Aluna!”

Bia was unable to hold back her tears of sadness when the man who was fast asleep beside her said the name of the woman who came last at their wedding earlier.

She strongly gripped the blanket that covered her body up to the chest limit. This pierced the deepest recesses of her heart. If that woman was in his heart, then why did Erlang marry her?

“Are you awake, Bia?” asked Erlang as he sat up and rubbed his stubbled face. His eyes narrowed as he saw her quietly and pityingly opening one curtain after another to let the sunlight and fresh air into the room.

“I’ve been awake for a while!” she said with a blank stare at the view outside.

Erlang just cleared his throat and walked towards the bathroom. Bia continued to watch the back of the man who became her husband until he was no longer visible.

It felt like she wanted to scream in disgust at what Erlang had thought last night while wrestling with her. However, she momentarily undid her intention. Until the man really realized after his life returned.

The sound of a call from her cell phone had dampened Bia’s anger. She walked quickly to grab the phone and sat limply on the edge of the bed. The call from Bisma, her ex-boyfriend, made her feel even more guilty.

“Hello!” she said softly after picking up the phone from Bisma.

“Bia, is it true what Claudia said about you being married?” asked Bisma. Bia couldn’t hold back her tears. She felt very guilty in her long-distance relationship with Bisma. There was nothing wrong with that man. It could be said that Bia always received attention even though they were separated by time and distance for a year.
