After being told by Beary that the grandmother would make a critical announcement the following day, Xav immediately went downstairs and was about to meet the girl; he needed her help organizing all the luggage into bags.
As he walked towards Anya's room, his footsteps suddenly stopped when he saw the girl sitting in the kitchen.
"Why aren't you sleeping?" Xav asked.
"I couldn't sleep," Anya replied awkwardly.
She didn't even look at the man standing before her. If only Xav knew why she couldn't sleep. Maybe it didn't matter to Xav, who, according to Anya, liked to switch partners.
But for Anya Smith, she had lost her first kiss, it was taken away by a man she didn't like at all. Of course, she would have been more willing if the kiss had been with Noah — Xav's older brother.
"Anya, please, help me get ready," Xav said, breaking the silence. Anya gasped, almost choking on the cup of hot chocolate she had just drunk.
"Get ready? To where?"
"Home, we have to go home now," Xav looked annoyed; Anya could see the glint in his eyes that was trying to hold something back.
"Now?"
Xav nodded.
"Yeah, now!"
"Hurry up!" He commanded.
Anya quickly got up and followed Xav upstairs. There was so much stuff they were carrying; Anya had just taken it out this afternoon, and now she had to put it all back into the bag: some painting tools, books, and diving equipment.
"Hurry up, we don't have much time," Xav said before finally entering his room, leaving Anya alone in the unfurnished room.
Although Anya was exhausted and wanted to sleep, it seemed like that simple wish would not be realized. She had to do everything Xav told her to do, which was to tidy up all the things and put them in the trunk again.
"What a hassle!"

Anya had finished all the work Xav had assigned to her. At first, she chose to wait for him to come out of the room, but after nearly forty minutes and Xav not coming out, Anya finally dared to knock on the young master's door.
The first few knocks passed without a single response from inside.
"He must be asleep.."
"Damn, he told me to hurry up. Then look who's so slow now?" Anya muttered.
Click!
Before Anya could close her mouth, the door suddenly opened. Before her, now, stood a man wearing only a towel wrapped around his hips. The sharp and intense gaze of Xav's copper-like irises made her heartbeat quicken.
"Why are you so noisy, Ms. Smith?!" Xav snapped.
"I can hear everything you said very clearly," Xav said sarcastically. Anya turned pale as soon as she realized that Xav had heard her.
"I was in the shower, not asleep!"
"Don't go anywhere, wait here, okay?!"
Xav grumbled and quickly closed the door to his room again with a loud bang.
***
"Anya!"
"Sit in the front, next to me; don't sit in the back; I'm not your driver!" Xav shrieked as Anya was both confused and awkward about where to sit.
Now, there was only her and Xav in the car. The driver and Mr. D'viore had been out since the afternoon, and they hadn't returned yet.
"Shouldn't we wait for Rob and Mr. D'viore?" asked Anya as she flung her butt onto the front seat.
"No need. They'll catch up with us tomorrow."
Xav started the engine. He was about to step on the gas pedal, but suddenly, he turned off the engine. His head turned towards Anya, his eyes looking her up and down repeatedly.
"What's wrong?" Anya asked, a little frightened because he was staring at her as if she were prey. But Xav didn't say anything. The man's hand reached out, grabbed the seat belt, and fastened it for Anya.
"You have to wear a seat belt, stupid. Don't get me a ticket because that would be so embarrassing." The man snapped and then started the engine again, and the car slowly started to leave the place.

The journey from the lakeside house to the Twinnies palace took quite a while. By the time they got there, Anya was already asleep; she fell asleep.
"Wake up, Anya! We're here," Xav whispered as he shook Anya's arm. However, the girl didn't wake up; instead, she moaned. Then, innocently, she fell back asleep, again.
"Wake up, Ms. Smith!" Xav slightly raised the volume of his voice.
"Shit!" Xav screeched as he opened the door and got out of his car. Then turned to the door on the other side, where Anya was fast asleep.
Without hesitation, Xav lifted Anya's body. He then asked the doorman to clear out all the stuff in the trunk.
"Your body looks small, but why are you so heavy, Anya Smith!" Xav cursed softly.
Unintentionally, Xav's eyes looked at Anya's beautiful face, who was sleeping and looked so exhausted. There was a swish he couldn't explain that just appeared and disturbed his peace of mind.
For a moment, he realized that he was at the intersection of the ballroom that connected the servants' room and the stairs leading to the guest room.
Xav was confused; he didn't know where to put this girl to sleep. There was no way he could knock on the servants' room and let everyone know that he was carrying Anya. It would cause gossip among them, and that would not be good.
He finally decided to take Anya to the second floor, where the guest room was.
"Ah, she's so heavy," he said as he laid Anya on the bed, he was about to leave her, but for some reason, the image of his childhood when his late mother always justified the blanket for him suddenly came to, like a movie that suddenly played automatically in his mind.
The good times with his mother were indeed imprinted in his memory and subconscious.
Xav turned around and wrapped Anya's body tightly, just like what his mother used to do for him.
"Good night, Anya, sleep tight..." He hissed.

The next morning....
This was the first time Anya had experienced quality sleep; she was so deep. She slowly lifted her eyelids. Her brown irises looked around, observing the familiar room. After realizing that, she wondered how she got to this room. Wasn't this the Dmitry family's honored guest room?
Anya jumped off the bed quickly and immediately ran downstairs; before she could reach the bottom step, her ears suddenly caught a noise from downstairs: Xav and Mr. Adolfo Dmitry's voice.
"I love that girl, dad! I'm going to marry her! I don't care whether you will agree or no!"
"But she's a maid, Xav!" His dad's voice sounded emotional.
"Then what's the problem?"
"My mom was a maid too! Is that also a problem for you, Dad?!" Xav glared at his dad.
