"Dad!" Emily said in a little whisper, then smiled embarrassedly when she saw Daniel watching her.

"No, there's another team coming. But they left first," Daniel explained.

"I see, so it's not just the two of you, is it?" asked Fred to confirm.

Emily signaled her father not to ask further questions.

"You don't have to worry. I value Emily as my secretary and will do nothing inappropriate," Daniel said firmly.

Fred looked Daniel up and down, trying to assess his character. Daniel felt a little uncomfortable with Fred's gaze on him.

"Alright, can we go now? We'll be late if we delay too long," Daniel said.

"Oh, yes. Go ahead," Fred said at last with a smile.

Emily pushed her heavy suitcase and was about to put it in the car's trunk. Daniel's personal driver came over to help her.

"Let me put it in the trunk," the driver said politely.

"Thank you, sir," Emily replied.

Emily climbed into the car with her heart racing. Every time she faced Daniel, who was so serious and cold, her lips turned into a frown and she felt so nervous.

"You hurt your leg," Daniel said when he saw Emily's injured knee, which was obvious because Emily was wearing a skirt above the knee.

"It's okay, sir. It's just a small cut," Emily said, feeling nervous and a little embarrassed.

"Watch your step when you walk. Don't be too careless," Daniel admonished in a stern voice.

"Yes, sir," Emily replied in a low voice.

Daniel took a quick glance at Emily's puffy eyes, but he chose not to ask further questions and ignored them.

After a while of traveling, their car finally arrived at the airport. Emily felt very nervous. This was her first business trip, and she hoped everything would go smoothly.

When they got out of the car, the nerves hit her even harder. The airport was full of crowds and noise, making her even more anxious. Daniel saw Emily's agitation and approached her.

"What's wrong?" Daniel asked.

"Nothing, sir," Emily replied awkwardly, but her eyes revealed unspoken anxiety.

The two of them walked towards the entrance of the international airport. The airport officer led them to follow the first class line, which was separated from the general queue. Emily felt her heartbeat quicken, and her breathing became labored.

Emily gripped her ticket tightly, trying to calm herself by reminding herself that this was an important step in her official journey. However, the moment they stepped onto the plane, her nervousness turned into a growing fear.

Emily felt her heart racing as she looked at the seat she was about to sit in. She felt trembling as she fastened the seat belt around her body.

Emily closed her eyes tightly when the plane started moving. Her hands and feet even felt freezing at this point. This was the second time she had traveled by plane, especially since she was a little afraid of heights.

"Are you okay?" asked Daniel when he saw Emily's slightly pale face.

"I'm fine, sir," Emily replied, trying to smile despite the fear still haunting her.

"I'm a little afraid of heights, sir," Emily finally said honestly, letting her fears be revealed.

"Be strong, the plane will take off in a moment," Daniel said, to which Emily only nodded slowly.

As the plane took off, Emily felt her heartbeat quicken. She closed her eyes tightly, her mouth beginning to chant a prayer that they would arrive safely on this trip.

"Is it boarding, sir?" the question kept coming out of Emily's lips until the plane finally took off. Hearing such continuous questions from Emily made Daniel feel a little uncomfortable.

Despite trying to stay calm on the plane, Emily's anxiety was still present. She closed her eyes, trying to turn her thoughts to more positive things. She inhaled deeply, trying to calm herself down.

When the plane reached a stable altitude, the flight attendants served the passengers in a friendly manner. Emily politely thanked them when they received their food and drinks. "Thank you."

"Wow, the food is really good," Emily murmured, her heart feeling calm as they reached a stable altitude.

She took out her cell phone and started taking photos of the atmosphere inside the plane. Every corner of the cabin, every smile on her face, everything she captured with her phone. She was amazed that this was the first time she could enjoy a first class flight like this. She was smiling to herself several times, enjoying the facilities provided.

"This seat is so comfortable," Emily praised, marveling at the seat she was sitting in.

"I can also watch here," she murmured again, mesmerized by the entertainment available on her personal screen.

What Emily was doing did not go unnoticed by Daniel. Daniel massaged the middle of his furrowed brow because he felt a little uncomfortable with his secretary's reaction, which he thought was too much.

However, Emily soon realized that Daniel was watching what she was doing at the moment. Embarrassment immediately struck her. "Sorry, sir."

Emily and Daniel started chatting about their plans during their business trip. The topics they talked about were only about work.

During the long journey, Emily's eyes felt heavy and almost closed, as she had not slept well all night. Meanwhile, Daniel was busy reading the business book he had brought from home. Without realizing it, Emily finally fell asleep. Because of fatigue, the sound of Emily's snoring was heard clearly in Daniel's ears. Daniel looked at Emily in disbelief, because even though she was a woman, Emily's snoring sounded loud.

Daniel felt surprised and very disturbed by Emily's snoring. "She's so annoying," Daniel grumbled.

Daniel tried to continue reading his book, but Emily's snoring kept distracting him. Every time he tried to focus, the constant snoring made it even harder to concentrate. Finally, Daniel closed his book with a bit of a bang and tried to sleep.

However, even though he lay down with his eyes closed, his mind was still awake. Meanwhile, Emily had fallen asleep in her dreams with her mouth slightly open. The snoring sound that continued made it difficult for Daniel to close his eyes. He felt disturbed and couldn't sleep.

Daniel took something from his backpack and found a bluetooth earphone. Without hesitation, Daniel put the earphones in his ears, hoping to close his earpieces so that he could no longer hear Emily's snoring.

Daniel could finally close his eyes and experienced a deep sleep. Meanwhile, Emily opened her eyes slowly after a satisfying sleep. She woke up with a warm feeling in her chest, and as she looked next to her, the handsome face of someone who was sleeping mesmerized her. The man's face was so alluring, with an expression that was calm and full of charm. His sharp nose and jawline that was overgrown with a little fuzz added to his charm.

Emily couldn't help expressing her admiration, even if it was only in a low whisper. "So handsome," she murmured in admiration.

However, her admiration soon turned to concern when Emily realized that the man next to her was her own boss, Daniel. She felt a little nervous and feared that her voice would wake the sleeping Daniel.

Emily whispered softly, "It's lucky that his parents have such a handsome and successful son like him. God, he's so handsome," Emily whispered softly, afraid her voice would wake Daniel, who was fast asleep.

"When he's asleep like this, he doesn't look scary at all," Emily murmured softly and propped her chin up, admiring her boss' face.

Daniel's eyelids twitched and slowly opened. He saw a woman with a pair of glasses adorning her eyes looking at him at a fairly close distance. Daniel's cold and sharp gaze made Emily startled and immediately covered her mouth with both hands, feeling surprised by that gaze.
