Alessia was left alone when she woke up that morning, but looking back she knew she had no regrets.
"I had the time of my life. I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed it." Alessia thought to herself.
Alessia can't even remember how aggressive he was and didn't even know if they finished that round. Alessia looked at herself and saw how well her skin brightened, she covered the part where the hickey was placed with a concealer before leaving the Villa.
Alessia was on her way back when suddenly she started to think about this called wedding and what happened all this time appeared to her like a wave from the sea, the feeling of being slammed by the waves one by one.
After arriving home, Alessia didn't have time to take a rest and was pulled by her mother, Emelda to try on the selected gowns she chose for Alessia.
"Everything is ready, we’re just glad that you’re home and finally come to your senses." Emelda said and smiled, "Anyway—I'm glad you're back, dear."
"Yeah, so am I," Alessia said in a low tone and just smiled before entering the fitting room to fit on the next wedding gown.
Alessia find this one pleasing, it is a gown that has long sleeves that are off the shoulder–its beads are not just random they were designed as flowers with a stem.
After Alessia put it on and went out to show them dressed to Emelda, she was feeling a bit nervous and said, "I like this one, mother. Simple but elegant."
"We'll take this one," Emelda said and put down the tea she had been sipping earlier.
With one down on the list and more to go, the two of them went on with a selection of things. Alessia knows the soon-to-be-married couple should be the ones who are doing this, but she is glad she was doing this with her mother.
Alessia wondered who that man was and thought, "Maybe I'll get to see that person on the wedding day—I won't expect it much. Mom also wants us to do this so that we can have one last bonding experience. They want to give me away, that badly."
"What do you think of this, Rae?" Emelda asked which brought back Alessia from her awe.
Alessia wasn’t paying attention but not because she didn’t like things like this. Just because they were doing this stuff which made her feel so stupid.
Alessia looked at it for a moment and then landed her gaze at Emelda who was waiting for her response.
“If I picked something here that you won't like. Don't blame me.” Emelde snorted.
Alessia just laughed and participated, as she clung to her mother's hand she smiled, she thought to herself, "I can't do anything about it because it's already happening."
A tiring day went by that quickly at 5 pm, the two ladies were finished even choosing furniture, a king-sized bed, and everything a newlywed needs, etc.
Alessia shook her head as it looked like her mother, Emelda was the one who was getting married. She is even more excited for Alessia and even said that all the money they spent was from Alessia's soon-to-be husband.
Alessia couldn't believe it and sighed, "Hopefully, he’s not old."
After Alessia returned the belongings to the hotel where the ceremony would take place, she lay down for a bit. Alessia couldn't imagine that life was ahead of her—she wanted to enjoy it more.
Alessia agreed to this because the company expanded its shares and realized her father is no longer that young, so she needs to act now.
Besides, Alessia knew that he rarely asked for a favor and even told her that she could always perform an annulment after 1 year of marriage.
Alessia didn’t care and did not even bother searching or knowing who he was and whose company this man was and just wanted to go with it.
Alessia's eyes were about to shut close when suddenly her phone rang and it was a call from Raener.
[Rae, can you come to my office now? I'll introduce you to someone.] Raener's voice was filled with happiness that Alessia couldn't deny.
“Okay, I'll just arrange my thing here, then I'll be there.” Alessia's voice was trembling but after that was being said Raener ended the call.
Alessia was nervous who could be that someone—she shook her head as she thought it was the man who would be bound for like a year. A man who was forced to have the same faith as mine.
Alessia got up to take a shower and didn't want to go looking all sweaty.
"I should be represented in front of my fiancé," Alessia mumbled which caught her off-guard. “My god, Alessia Rae, you’re thinking about that."
Alessia rushed into the bathroom and started taking a shower, after that she decided to wear just a plain dress and a pair of doll shoes, curled at the tips of my hair, and she was ready to go.
"Hopefully, he’s not so arrogant and we will get well." Alessia thought for a second and left the room.
Alessia reached the building, everyone greeted her and she also greeted them back Alessia boarded the elevator and mandated the floor where her dad’s office was.
Alessia's nervousness put her heart at a peak where it was ready to burst out of her chest.
"Good morning, Ms. Alessia. They are waiting for you inside.” Raeners secretary said and then opened the door for her.
Alessia politely got in and the first two people she saw were Mr. and Ms. Armstrong?
'Why are they here?' Alessia's brows furrowed as she wondered, but didn't forget her basic manners.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong,” Alessia said who was still confused but gave them her sweetest smile.
"Nice meeting you, dear." Mrs. Armstrong said.
Alessia couldn't stop herself from being amazed, even at her age, anyone can still see the beauty that Mrs. Armstrong has, as well as her husband.
'But, why are they here? I hope this won't go to what I was expecting,' Alessia awkwardly smiled as she was being guided down to take a seat, and after being settled they started with a topic related to business and stuff.
"How was your vacation?" Mrs. Armstrong asked.
“It was okay. I had a great time. To be honest it wasn't enough." Alessia chuckled and said, "But it was a great escape, Ma’am.”
“You seemed to spend your vacation well because you looked blooming. Just like the last time I saw you.” Mrs. Armstrong said and laughed, ”And please—don't call me ma'am, Auntie would do."
Alessia smiled and saw how happy her parents were, as for Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong, they were so welcoming.
Alessia doesn’t know if she was dumb or if this scene doesn’t make any sense is this the reason that her father told her to be here or is there someone else?
Alessia couldn't imagine if they were supposed to be a guest or her father's another appointment and out curiosity while the four of them were busy talking, Alessia grabbed her phone and search for whoever the CEO of their company was.
Alessia couldn't believe what she saw, and for a moment her brain didn't function when the door suddenly opened and she didn't pay attention to who it was and was stuck on the screen of her phone.
“Sorry, I’m late. Our meeting took a while.” The man said this as he approached my parents.
At first, Alessia didn't pay attention but as soon as the person started talking it caught her attention.
"Hello Ms. Williams, lovely as always." The man said and went beside Emelda's side and kissed her mom’s cheeks and turned to Raener and said, "Sir", then shook his hand.
"Oh my God! This can't be!" Alessia gulped hard and air were starting to leave her lungs.
Emelda turned to Alessia with a smile on her face and said, "Dear, this is Blade Armstrong—your soon-to-be husband."
Alessia couldn't help but look at him for the thought that he was with her that night.
Alessia didn’t look at him and panic about what she was about to do. Alessia can't believe how small the world is.
As Blade continued to approach Alessia she could feel the gradual redness of her cheek.
Not realizing he was close until his warm palm touches Alissia's hand and kiss the top of it.
“Nice meeting you, again. Ms. Alessia Rae Williams.” Blade said with a smiled.
Alessia couldn’t help but just look at him and can’t help to think of the embarrassment she caused when she suddenly thought about what happened and everything she said that night.
"I don’t care if you won’t ask me—I'm getting married this week to someone I don't know!"
“I plan to give my V-card to someone before this dumb marriage and you are lucky because you are the one I chose.”
Alessia just looked at him when she came back to reality. He doesn’t seem surprised like he already knew her all along.
Alessia can’t quite imagine that she have decided to give her virginity to whom she thought was a mere stranger but to her surprise—he was no ordinary stranger...
"He is the person I will marry—" Alessia said to herself.
What wicked faith.
