Serenity POV

I couldn't stop staring at the woman standing right there between me, Logan, and Alexander. I had never seen or even met or known who she was. But looking back at how Alexander reacted, when he saw the woman's arrival inside The Moon Stone Pack, really made me think very hard now.

Alexander looked transfixed, and couldn't believe what he was seeing in front of him there. The woman, on the other hand, stood very calmly. She even put her palms into the pockets of the pants she was wearing there. Even so, I could feel the intimidating aura emitted from the woman's body, thus affecting Alexander.

"Well... you two finally met, didn't you?" Logan said with a big smile on his face now.

I looked at him with great wonder. And Logan, turned to me for a moment, with a reassuring smile. That, I thought, was the answer to the question I'd been thinking about, about that woman now.

"Why? Why did you come here?" Alexander stammeringly asked the woman.

He himself was no longer even in a prepared position like before there, and was starting to stand up straight now. Alexander looked several times at the woman, then at Logan, and me, and so on until he looked again for a long time at the woman in front of him.

"Why did you come here with that fucking dragon?"

"Oh, him? You mean, Logan? The dragon's lord. You should call him with more respect, don't you?" The woman pointed at Logan with a mocking smile in Alexander's direction now.

"Also, he told me all the things you've done in this pack. Including what you've done to them. While I wasn't here, you went even crazier. No wonder Logan looked for me, and brought me here again." The woman muttered and walked forward, to get closer to Alexander there.

Alexander looked very stiff for an instant. Although I knew that he was holding back his anger by clenching his palms very tightly now. In addition, the expression on Alexander's face seemed to have hardened as well.

"Do you think I want to come back to this despicable pack after all these years?" The woman shook her head.

"Don't be so confident about it, Alexander. If it weren't for the dragon's lord's story and request, I would never even be willing to set foot inside this pack again."

"Then just get out of here! And stay out of my business!" Alexander replied to the woman's words with a loud, angry tone of voice.

"You think I'm going to listen to that?!" The woman replied instantly.

"Logan, who is that woman?" I whispered to Logan, and hoped that I could quickly get an answer as to who that woman really was. I raised my head, and looked at Logan, who was starting to turn his head there now.

"She is..." Logan brought his face closer to mine and whispered.

"My name is Alexis Stone." The woman immediately interrupted Logan's speech, and immediately made me and Logan both shift our gaze, and look at her. She turned her head toward me, smiling kindly now. Before finally, she turned her head back, and looked sharply at Alexander. "I am Alexander's sister. The first daughter of Alpha Stone." She continued.

"First daughter?" I whispered in disbelief. Is it possible that all the things I've read and learned before have something to do with her? Alexis Stone.

"What's going on here?!" Elder John, along with the other elders ran hurriedly towards us all now. Elder John and the other elders looked shocked at the sight of Alexis there.

"Miss Alexis?" Elder John muttered, looking instantly confused, as did the other elders.

"I never thought to come back to this pack, seeing the mess this illegitimate child has made." Alexis said harshly at once. Alexis looked even angrier than before. She looked at the elders who immediately fell silent, bowing their heads deeply.

Meanwhile, Alexander still seemed to be holding back his anger there. "How dare you insult me like that?!" Alexander pointed hard at Alexis.

"Don't forget where you are now, Alexis! You're in The Moon Stone Pack! And I am the Alpha of this pack. You should watch what you say in front of me now!" Alexander shouted loudly, making the wounded warriors look scared.

I thought, they must all still be traumatized by what Alexander had done to them before. I looked back at Alexis who looked calm. She was too quite calm when dealing with Alexander's madness.

"You think I'd be scared by your anger, Alexander?! No! I don't even care about your anger or even your madness! And you shouldn't forget either, Alexander! That you yourself are not of pure Alpha Stone lineage. You're just a child born to his second wife." Alexis answered Alexander's words out loud.

Wow. This is the first time I've met a woman who could be so bold as to reply to Alexander's words with such force.

"You may indeed be the Alpha of this Moon Stone Pack. But you have forgotten, the reason behind your appointment as Alpha in this pack."

"Stop saying that!" Said Alexander who was getting louder there.

His face was also starting to look red now. And I wasn't sure why his face was turning so red right now. Either because of anger or embarrassment.

"Why, are you embarrassed that everyone knows the truth now?" Alexis looked at Alexander with a very challenging look there.

My heart was beating very fast now. The curiosity I've had for so long is getting the best of me. I wanted to hear the truth now.

"That Alpha Stone was forced to appoint you as Alpha in this pack, because I decided to leave and become Alpha Female in the polar pack. Father was forced to make you the Alpha of this pack, Alexander." Alexis let out a small chuckle.

And I frowned even more, after hearing her say that right there. Similarly, Logan seemed to have just found out about this, just like me. Meanwhile, the elders there didn't say anything at all. And I became convinced that what Alexis said was the truth. As for Alexander, of course, he seemed to be holding back his angry feelings even more now.

"What do you think, Alexander? Do you think that father wanted you to be the Alpha of this pack from the beginning?! Don't be so fucking stupid, Alexander!" Alexis exclaimed loudly. I could see that Alexis was getting emotional now.

"After all the things your mother has done, how could father think of making you an Alpha? Someone born to a second wife, a second mate, and the son of the pack's top villain doesn't even belong here."

"Don't talk nonsense, Alexis! You may hate me, and you certainly hate my mother. But don't take my mother's name in vain! You don't know anything! So shut your mouth, and leave this pack right now!" Alexander moved himself slightly toward Alexis. So they could both look at each other now.

"Oh, I didn't badmouth your mother, Alexander. Your own mother has ruined her own name in the past. Even today, everyone knows what crimes she committed during her lifetime. Even when she died, she continued to cause trouble. Even everyone who knew, tried to cover it up, because of father's request. You think your mother is a saint, huh! No! Not at all!"

Alexis pushed Alexander's body back a few steps. Everyone looked surprised, as Alexis unleashed her power there. And yes, she does look very strong. And I could recognize that, by the calmness she showed.

"For years after I left and never came back into this pack, I was always silent. I never said or even told anyone what I was feeling all this time. But not now, Alexander. I won't be silent anymore now. And you must listen to whatever I have to say to you. Because I'm not going to stay silent anymore, for all the madness that you have created and done. Because of your actions, the good name of The Moon Stone Pack is at stake. The pack's name is being mocked by everyone. And you can only bring shame to The Moon Stone Pack. Just like your mother did!"

Alexis said in a tone of voice that was instantly very loud. Anger was evident on her face and in her eyes now. 

"Even the elders knew all about it. But they decided to remain silent, and locked their lips. You all allowed injustice to happen in father's pack. How can you eat, drink, and sleep in peace, after making the name of the pack that father fought for so long, so bad?!"

Alexis pointed at the elders who were bowing their heads even more, unable to say anything now. Hearing that, I instantly realized that Alexis was holding back her tears. But she kept trying to look strong, even though she herself was fragile.

"Father should never have made you the Alpha of this pack. You can only be a disgrace to this pack, Alexander. You are exactly like your fucking mother, Alexander! You are exactly the same!" Alexis who said that gasped right there.

My grip on Logan's hand tightened. I think the atmosphere inside The Moon Stone Pack is becoming very suffocating now.

"As an Alpha, you should take care of everyone in this pack. And also keep the good name of this pack. At least, you, as an honorable Alpha, did not disgrace this pack by kidnapping someone else's wife. Your ex mate, right? The person you've even thrown away. How can you try to have her again by force, when she has already found her own happiness?"

Alexis said in a dismissive tone to Alexander who had been silent, holding back his own emotions now.

"Or even injure and kill warriors who serve this pack faithfully. And as for the death of your beloved, Vienna, it was no one else's fault, but your own. Vienna committed suicide, because of your own actions. So don't ever blame others for what you've done wrong!"

Alexis fell silent, and sighed loudly for an instant. Not long after, she turned around, and looked at me, and Logan now. Alexis' face was full of regret, and there was a lot of shame there.

"Please, forgive everything Alexander has done to you. I assure you that he will never again interfere with either of your lives. I will keep an eye on Alexander, just as I keep an eye on my pack at the poles. You don't have to worry about Alexander bothering you after this."

Alexis cupped her palms together with a regretful expression on her face as she looked at me and Logan now.

"I'll make sure Alexander regrets all the bad things he's done to you. Especially to Serenity. I'm going to punish Alexander for all the things he's done to you since you were little until now."

Alexis looked at me and Logan with a tired look on her face. "Please leave, and let me settle things now, with Alexander and the elders."

Alexis turned her gaze toward the warriors who were still in their positions from earlier, along with the dragon warriors. "Also, for the warriors, you can go and treat your wounds now. Let me finish all this. And don't bother me at all." Alexis continued to explain there.

After that, the dragon warriors released the warriors and let them all go. Logan turned around and looked at me.

"Let's go home now." He muttered with a small smile on his face.

I replied with a slow nod of my head. After that, Logan gently pulled my hand, and we walked out of The Moon Stone Pack, with the dragon warriors behind us. I was reluctant, because I was still very curious about what Alexis would do to Alexander and the elders.

But I also couldn't refuse Logan's wish to return directly to the dragon palace now. Logan and the dragon warriors instantly transformed their bodies into dragons. I climbed onto Logan's back, and held on very tightly. And in the next second, Logan and the dragon warriors instantly flapped their wings, and flew back towards the dragon palace. Every now and then, I looked back, and looked at The Moon Stone Pack that was already visible this far away now.

It felt like all of this was indeed very tiring for me to be able to live between Logan and Alexander. It was as if my destiny kept pulling me back to live between the dragon and the alpha. At the same time, the fate of that life also made me very exhausted.

Especially with Alexander's selfish, stubborn, and arbitrary attitude, which didn't help me to live peacefully, and happily together with Logan now. On top of that, Logan's temper can get the best of him at any time, and can get out of control like that day. But in any case, Alexander is very much responsible for the whole mess. Although, I don't know what will happen next. I hope I can handle it well. And again, when I get to the palace later, I'll read this book right away.
