Belinda Pov
I didn't make it back from the party after gio pulled the gown I was wearing last night. I don't know what's wrong with him after he kissed my lips, I'm thinking maybe he's angry again that's why he was so rude last night.
But he said that he is not mad at me.
But his eyebrows are raised, meaning that he doesn't like something.
Did he dislike the way I wore a gown last night?
My thoughts were only interrupted by two knocks on my room. I'm still in bed because I just woke up, it's seven in the morning so I know it's time for breakfast. It's Saturday too, so I know Kaloy won't be here. He also doesn't come here every day because he is teaching someone else.
Because I can understand a little and I can read and count well. It is not so difficult for me to teach kaloy.
"Bella?" I stood up when I heard naya glor's voice. I immediately opened the door and saw him standing outside. "Eat now, giovanni is calling you.." I was surprised at what he said. I also thought why giovanni was calling me this morning.
"What's wrong, naya glor?"
"He said he's just going to give you something, wash yourself and come down. I'm going to the back house...” I nodded absentmindedly after nanny glor left. I also closed the door while thinking about what Gio would give me.
Will he give me a present?
Because I thought that, I quickly moved to get a replacement. I also washed myself so that I could fix myself. Just a few minutes after I finished, I immediately left the room to head downstairs.
I saw gio already at the dining table, grandfather rod was not there and he was the only one sitting..
But today is Saturday. I know that grandpa doesn't have a job, so why isn't he there?
"Where's grandpa rod?" Gio was surprised when I suddenly appeared at his side. I saw him retreat from his place before turning to me.
"Why are they suddenly appearing out of nowhere?" I frowned at what he said. Does that answer my question? I don't understand because I'm still learning English. It's hard to learn, bro, I'll read more later so there's probably another English word.
"Did grandpa come in?"
He shook his head. "No, he's still upstairs. Resting."
"Resting? Shouldn't he be awake already?"
"He's tired bella, just sit down. Eat with me."
My lips twitched because of what he said. "Why will I accompany you? You eat so slowly, why don't I go with you?" He frowned because of what I said. But because I remembered what yaya glor said, I suddenly sat next to her.
"Can you give me something?" he sighed and sipped his coffee, he didn't even answer me causing me to snort.
"Hey, let's go. I'll go with you, where are you holding your spoon? To the right or to the left?"
He looked at me, frowning as if I had said something wrong. He said I should eat with him, why is he acting like that?
"I mean, come eat with me. I didn't say that your going to copy me."
"Copy?" I only whispered that because I was wondering what word it was. But he took a bite before placing the plate in front of me.
"I have a gift for you, I didn't give it to you last night because you were already in the other room and sleeping." I snorted because I remembered why I slept there.
"How long have you been in the bathroom, what are you doing? I can hear you outside. Did you curse yourself?"
"What the hell?"
"Kaloy said that cursing is not allowed, because that is bad. You will be blessed.”
"Tsk, what is that man teaching you? You shouldn't listen to him..”
My nose arched as he put food on my plate. "Then who are you cursing inside? Don't you have anyone with you?"
"I'm just singing, bella. Stop fucking asking me a dvmn question, will you?”
He sat up after saying that, why is he saying that? Because kaloy said that's not allowed, but he is. Hey.
"Don't swear, gio. You might get karma.”
"Just eat your food, after that wait for me in our backyard. I'll just give my gift there, maybe you won't eat when I give it." I smiled because of what he said.
"I really have a present for you, gio?"
"Yes, if you didn't finish your food. You can't get that gift. So, be a good girl..” after he said that, he stood up and left me. He didn't even run out of food but the coffee he brewed was still there. Since my stomach was feeling a little cold, I wanted to taste it because it still looked hot. But because it had a strange taste, I blew it out in no time.
"The taste is bad! Why the bitterness!” I drank that cup and didn't plan to drink anymore. I just finished my meal because I wanted to know what kind of gift gio was going to give me today.
It only took me a few minutes to eat the iltipat that my companion put away, I washed what I ate while Paula put away some leftover food. This is just a new housemate here and she applied last month.
"Is gio in the pool?" He shrugged his shoulders at my question.
"I didn't notice him earlier, maybe he went up to his room.." I snorted because of Paula's answer. Gio also said that he will give this gift to me.
But I should wait for him there because he said that earlier.
"Alright, I'll go there first. Don't you want to come along?"
"Oh, never mind bella. I will keep it here." I nodded as he held several glasses. He told me he was twenty three years old, but I was. I can't remember how old I am, no matter what I do I can't remember anything if you don't burn in my dreams.
"Are you alright ma'am?" I nodded at Paula's question, I also smiled and tried to forget what I thought. Maybe it was just a dream, a bad dream.
After I left the garden, I turned towards the pool to look for gio. The only case is that he was not there, I took shelter in the hut near the bottom of the guava tree but I did not even see him all around.
Will he take a bath?
Or just in the room and changed clothes?
I sighed before sitting in the middle of the hut, I saw some guava fruit that fell but I didn't like it anymore. I'm tired of that food, besides how hard they are to eat. My teeth only hurt especially my stomach.
At the bottom of this tree, there are ants climbing up. They were big and had an ant-like body, they were carrying small ones so I wondered where they were going to take them.
Will they eat it?
I covered my mouth because of the thought. Will fellow ants eat their family members?
"You are terrible, why are you eating your fellow ants?" I frown at them, but I feel pity for some unknown reason. I think they shouldn't be doing that.
"Why are you crying?" I suddenly turned to my side when Gio spoke there. I stood up close to him to report what I saw.
"Because I saw the ant earlier, his fellow ant was lifting him into the hole, where is he going to take it."
He frowned because of my question. "What kind of question is that, bella?"
"Is that dead? The ant will also be an insect when it dies? "Fuck!
I snorted "Maybe, he'll make that dinner. They are so bad, they will even eat their own. What do you really think he will do there?"
He closed his eyes, it also washed his face as if my question was difficult. "Don't you ask me nonsense questions again, is that clear?"
"Clear? Why are you asking when it's clear it's not night, can't you see?"
"Don't even ask me!"
My nose twitched because of what he said, this guy is annoying, is my question difficult?
"Tsk, it's a guerrilla! You're asking me, but you don't want me! I should have just told the ant that you are his ant!"
"Then why don't you talk to them!"
"Will they talk to me?"
"Shit. Why did you learn to speak, what did you learn from your tutor?"
"Is it because of Kaloy? I learned a lot from him, he said that at night it is forbidden to eat bananas. Because there is a possibility that your stomach will grow."
His eyes widened because of what I said. “What the hell?”
"And he said, swearing is bad. So if you curse again, I'm going to slap you."
He shook his head because of that. "Why is that teaching you like that, the stupid lala will be ready for me later--"
He didn't finish what he was going to say because my hand landed on his cheek. It backed away while looking at me in shock.
"What the fucking hell---"
I slapped him one more time so that both his cheeks were already red. He has been cursing for a while, even in front of the food earlier he was cursing me so I should just slap him.
"Why are you slapping me!"
"Because what you are saying is not correct, gio. Kaloy taught me that. Grandfather also said that it is not allowed so that is the substitute."
"Tsk, exchange? This is not forgiven, there is a price for that too." I frowned because of what he said, he came closer to me but I didn't back away. What is he talking about instead?
"Does it matter if I slap you?"
"Yes.." he smiled before bowing to me, I don't know what he meant in exchange but he kissed me. I thought he was just going to kiss my lips, but he bit and inserted his tongue there, causing me to bite it in no time.
"Fuck!"
He held his mouth as he pulled back from me, my eyes widened because I didn't mean it.
"Sir, sorry. Does it hurt? I didn't mean it." he glared at me before closing his eyes, his hand still covering his mouth because his tongue was sure to hurt.
"I'm sorry, why did you do that?" I was just surprised."
He shook his head and turned his back on me, leaving me under the tree as I watched him leave.
"Why did he put his tongue in, I think that man has a tongue.."
It's ten in the morning but I haven't seen gio yet. Grandpa rod also came down and he said that he was just drunk last night and he is not sick.
"Were you tired last night? You don't let me know you're going to sleep anymore."
"I'm sleepy because you talked a lot last night." Grandpa Rod nodded when I said that.
"But did you enjoy it?"
"Yes, it's fun. There were many guests and they all liked me.”
"Because you are beautiful, if you can study well, you will have more friends."
"Really? Am I going to school?"
"Do you want?" Grandpa's question made me smile big.
"Yes! I want to be there at Fatima!”
"Alright, next school year. I will enroll you. But first you have to study hard."
I was applauded by his consent, I also hugged him because I was so happy that I couldn't hide it.
"Alright, grandpa will just take care of something in his room. Read and study first." I quickly nodded without hesitation, I also stood up and went upstairs to my room. But before I could enter, I looked at Gio's room where it was just closed and he hadn't come out yet.
Because I wanted to tell what grandpa rod told me, I went to his room to tell it. I opened his door and there in the corner of his room he was sitting in front of his desk.
He had his laptop in front of him and didn't even notice me approaching. I saw that he was looking at a photo there, which made my eyes blink.
"I was beautiful last night.." he closed it suddenly because of my speech. It also stood up while looking at me with a frown.
"Don't you know how to knock the door?" My eyebrows met at his question. "Don't you know how to knock?"
"Wise."
"Then why didn't you knock before entering?"
"Why am I knocking? Did you knock before entering?”
He closed his eyes. "What are you doing here?" I smiled before sitting on his bed, I extended my hand causing his eyes to land there.
"Where's my present?" he just looked at me and let my palm spread out in the air. It took a few seconds before he bent down to meet my eyes.
"You are not allowed to have a boyfriend.." I closed my lips before I lowered my hand to what he said.
"I'm not allowed to have a boyfriend?"
"If that Jackson courts you, just say no. You can't be her boyfriend, because boyfriend means like a husband."
I frowned. "Husband?"
"Wife, bella.."
I looked away because of the husband he was talking about. What is that guy talking about?
"Just listen to me, just follow what I say."
I nodded. "Okay.."
"Good, your not allowed to talk with anyone, only Carlo and me. It is not possible for others." even though I was confused, I didn't ask any more questions. I just nodded before he smiled and pulled out of his pocket.
It brought out a red box with a square shape. He opened it and immediately took the necklace to wear around my neck.
Gio only looked at me while he was wearing it. I felt my heart happy because I was with him again, unlike Kaloy. It seems normal whenever we are next to each other.
After he put it on, his gaze shifted to my eyes. I didn't react anymore but because his hand was on the back of my neck. This brought my face closer to his causing our lips to touch.
I don't know why he keeps kissing me. I can watch it in the movie on Kaloy's cellphone, that girl's name is Rose. But why do they have to kiss someone else?
"Why are you kissing me?" I asked that after he pulled away, he sighed before pulling a strand of my hair to the side.
"Because I like you..."
I know he told me that last night, I like gio too. I'm glad because he likes me too and he's not mad at me anymore.
"You still don't understand what I mean, but the time will come when you will know the true meaning..."
I frowned, but he came to me again to kiss me. I don't know what to do because he pushed me so that I lay on his bed. He didn't even let our lips separate even though he looked like he was struggling.
It's like it's eating my lips because it's a delicious fruit.
I don't know why I like that, I feel like that's the true meaning of the word I like you.
But I didn't know that his lips would go down my neck. I was wondering why he was doing that so I said his name.
"Sir?" he stopped for a few seconds before looking at me. "If you're hungry, the rest of the dish is still there. Don't eat my neck..”
He bit his lip as if to stop himself from laughing, eventually he stood up before nodding.
"Then go to your room now, maybe I can eat you..."
